Chapter 24

I have been in this prison for one month and it has been bad. No food or water has been given to me in the past month and I haven't heard anyone enter my cell. The reason I say enter is because my eyes were covered by some kind of clothes, making me unable to see. I couldn't feel my powers so I assume I am cuffed with some power-damping cuff. There is no way I will ever escape this place without any help. First, I can't feel any part of my body, except my neck and my head. I guess when that guy stepped on my back, he completely crushed my spinal cord. Damn, that's bad.

If I don't escape here, I will either die of boredom or hunger thrust. I already know what I will do when I get out of here…

*CLICK*

I heard a low click before a loud sound of heavy iron scraping on stone sounded through the room. A footstep hurriedly came to me before stopping in front of me.

"Rick Brandon, are you still alive?" Felicia's voice sounded in front of me.

"Ba.REly…" I said with a hoarse voice.

"Good. I came to rescue you." Felicia said before she started touching around on the thing that held me to wherever I was. "Damn you stink. When was the last time you took a shower?"

"A month..ago." I said as the blindfold covering my eyes was removed, bright light assaulting my eyes. "Why, Did you come free..me?" my eyes still close.

"I am part of Team Carnage, remember?" She said, throwing me on something which I assume is a wheelchair as she started pushing me away.

"Why the change… Of. Heart?" I asked, opening my eyes a little to see me being pushed through a hallway filled with cells and all of them were open. A red light was constantly flashing through the hallway.

"Well, I guessed if you were to escape or get freed by someone else, you will go kill all those that put you in this predicament. I don't want to be on your kill list, so here I am, freeing you before you escape." Felicia said, turning a corner. "And also, Batman came back to Gotham this morning and he is going on overdrive, getting Gotham back in order."

"Oh… I seE." I said, looking down on myself, seeing I was wearing orange pants and a shirt.

"Also, I think I was caught hacking into the ARGUS main database. I made an enemy out of the most powerful agency in the world and I remembered when you offered me to join your team and now I came to free you and join." Felicia said, kicking a door open and pushing me through."Does the offer still stand? If not, I will just leave you here."

"Yeah?" I said, looking around.

"Ok. I am part of Team Carnage. The brain and you are the muscles. Now, what shall be my name…"

"Put your hands up in the air!" Someone shouted from behind Felicia, cutting her off.

"Haa…" Felicia put her hands up in the air before whispering, "Close your eyes."

"Slowly step back from the prisoner..." The guard said. "ARGGG!!! MY EYES!!!"

"That flash bomb did its job well." She said.

Felicia grabbed my wheelchair and pushed faster before we reached the front door and through it, you can see many prisoners fighting with the guard. I even saw a Robin and one woman who I never saw before. She opened her mouth and a sonic scream that made my ears bleed came out her mouth.

'What the fuck?' I thought, not being able to cover my ears.

"Good thing I brought these earplugs." Felicia said, pushing my wheelchair through the crowd toward a jeep and threw me inside the back seat, not taking the wheelchair with her. "I hope you can regenerate quickly by eating lots of humans. I have 30 alive humans in my basement. It was pretty easy to lure them there, don't ask how."

She entered the driver seat and stepped on the gas, accelerating down the street. "Good thing the heroes had their time occupied by the prisoners I freed before you." Felicia said, emphasizing heroes.
