In a lab stood a group of scientists working on what can be seen as a teleportation machine. The head doctor seemed to be in distress. "He has lost it. '' One of his collegue whispers to the other. A few hours of struggle, failure and anguish he finally gives in.

"We shall re-examine the project another time, for today we can call it a day" concludes the lead scientist.

Walking out of the lab with his white coat on, taking his belongings along the way. Opposite him is an elevator which he ignores heading straight for the stairs. From each step taken a theory in his mind appears, calculating the laws of gravity, the pause in time and what he could have missed. He reaches the exit, walks towards his vehicle as he pulls the keys out of his pocket. Entering and shutting the door before starting the engine. The street lights pave the way for him, red illumination from a car ahead of him slowing down. He finally makes his way home, opening the gate.

13 years back:

"Ever wondered what life could be if we held onto the memories we've made? To be beside those we brought into this world and not have to forget them as we age.

Nosirrah: I have, a couple of times.

Delilah: So why don't we journey to a world where all that is possible? We have already inherited the scientific knowledge of time inverse. Our parents were close. Just a little step further.

Nosirrah: It's too risky, we don't know for sure if the outcome will work out in our favour. There might even be irreversible repercussions and we might lose this world while chasing ghost towns.

Delilah: Yes, we are all here because of it. It is evident that we are the outcome of curiosity.

"It sure is." she responds.

Findings.

On the 15th of February 1974 we had a breakthrough on the transitive for project D24 now known as Leaf. The human body couldn't handle the force of travel from the intersection of dimension in a short period of time thus we have decided to create another body which is not limited to physicality by transferring the brain meta to the other body. After a fair share of experiments, one of our scientists took it up to herself to try the effectiveness of the Leaf project. The results were outstanding but.

A conversation erupts at the diner table.

"Just hear me out" a lady opposite him responds.

Nosirrah: You are telling me to take the risk of losing you, it hasn't been long since we got married and you want me to-

"To what Nosirrah?" Cutting him off.

Nosirrah: Something might go wrong.

Delilah: Trust me, I have thought about it for a while now

Nosirrah:

Delilah D: Say something.

[After a minute of back and forth conversations, he agrees.] "Alright, but we'll have to put more safety measures, I know it has been working fine. I just can't bear the feeling of something bad happening while you are in that machine" responds Nosirrah.

Delilah Deusa: I can't argue with that.[Smiling and pulling him into a tight hug before heading out.]

The first launch of project leaf was held at Bay labs, a great victory. We managed to send Delilah, one of our scientists who volunteered to take up the task to earth IC1 and brought her back.

Update on project leaf.

Scientific experiment launched on 15 February 1974 had its own side effects on the human subject. The effects were unpredictable to an extent that we couldn't find a treatment or cause of it. It started as ageing backwards where she started to grow old as her translation of this world started to frighten her. She'd say "She wants to go back home" as if she was lost nor stranded. After a few experiments and research we came to realise that who Delilah was wasn't her complete self. Her brain cells started to die out and she'd eventually collapse leaving her body unoccupied. We couldn't explain it, it was as if she had taken an endless slumber. Her consciousness was non-existent. She was dead but her body didn't depart. Our previous subjects had gone through the same process. Total deaths 5.

Conclusion on findings:

One can't exist in two world's at the same time, the body cannot hold a halved soul. One dies when they descend elsewhere. That's what has transpired on the death of Miss Sossam Fics, Mr Bocaj Nemeer, Miss Fascia Demur, Mrs Vlame Rodwaar and Doctor Delilah Deusa. As their consciousness made its way to their other bodies on earth IC1 their current bodies died here. It was a matter of time until this new type of death occurred.

Project Leaf is to be banned from all scientific exploration. Reason being, it is regarded as a threat to our existence.

Summit meeting.an international meeting of heads of state or government, was held on the 18th of march 1970.

"This world is dying and if we don't act now we will die with it. 5% of the population have already vanished, no sign of their whereabouts. We had a skyrocketed increase in appearance rates of the 'Drifters', a population of mindless beings that live on human flesh. The Night has swallowed the day, next our resources will deplete and as we know it we will be suffocating on less oxygen. And let's not overlook the fact that few people have been born in the last couple of years, with a decrease in birth rate. How will mankind live on? I know some of you here oppose the idea of tampering with time, for all I know where we might go might be worse than here or maybe, just maybe it'll be a safe haven. I am not saying to speed the process of desegregating this earth, oh no I am merely asking for you to give it a thought. We've made contact with other world leaders from earth IC1 and collected enough information on how their world and galaxy work. Few of our people have settled in Jupiter and 10 children have been born, as we speak those kids are still alive. They age in a similar way as those in earth IC1 but that is not something we can't adapt to. We have two options ,extinction or faith in mankind's ascendency."

The meeting took place in Dnaleri, Nasaih being the spokesperson. Of the 128 countries, 98 opposed the idea. Deeming it a crime against mankind, the project will then later on be restricted and prohibited from practices and banned from being taught in schools and universities. This will lead to the formation of the PSI, a secretive group led by some government officials who believe Project leaf is the salvation of humans.
