Chapter 002: New Friends

After eating their lunch together, Ryuga and his two parents went to the capital city of Flevance Kingdom. They want to attend a festival there.

When they reached the destination, Ryuga's family met with the Law's Family. Riza then jogged over to Luriana, Law's Mother, to chat with her friend.

"Long time no see, Luriana," said Riza who approached Luriana.

"Riza, is that you?!" replied Luriana. "I never expected to meet you again. I think that you move to East Blue after giving birth to Ryuga."

"Yep, I planned to do so. But I think it would be troublesome for me. So, I decided to cancel that plan."

Riza and Luriana laughed and chatted together. They even introduced their family members to each other.

"Hi, my name is Blaze. I'm Riza's husband and Ryuga's father. It's nice to meet you."

"Nice to meet you too, Mr. Blaze," said a middle-aged man. "My name is Trafalgar Kreshnik. I'm Luriana's husband as well as Law and Lami's father."

Blaze and Riza then encouraged their son to befriend and get along with Law and Lami.

"Hi, Ryuga. I'm Trafalgar Lami. It's nice to see you," shouted Lami introducing herself to Ryuga cheerfully, "I like festival so much. Let's stroll around together."

"Alright, Lami. I'll go with you."

"Yeah! Lami has a friend!" Lami jumped for joy. She then turned to her introverted brother, Law. "You also come with me, Brother."

"W-Wait, I still read a book about Sora, Warrior of the Sea," said Law rejecting Lami's wish.

Having her wish rejected, Lami became sad. Seeing this scene, Luriana reprimanded Law to accompany his sister.

"Law, you can continue reading your book at home. Now, you can spend time with Lami and Ryuga. Please enjoy anything that this festival provided."

"Alright then," said Law responding to his mother's warning flatly. He closed his book and put it inside his bag. "I'll go along with you, Lami, and Ryuga."

"Yahoo! I will feel very happy today. Now, let's explore this festival together!"

Lami dragged Ryuga and Law's hand to follow her. The three children approached every food court at the festival. On that day, they happily spend time together.

After that, the relationship among the three persons became closer. Law turned out to be more caring to Lami. Meanwhile, Ryuga would often invite the Trafalgar siblings to play together in their spare time.

[Several months later]

Ryuga, Law, and Lami played together on the outskirt area of the Flevance Kingdom. Lami enthusiastically chased a butterfly, while Ryuga and Law followed her from behind.

"Lami, don't go too far into the forest," reprimanded Ryuga.

"Ahahaha…Don't worry too much about me, Ryuga," said Lami, "This butterfly is very beautiful. I want to catch it."

Lami kept running to chase the butterfly, followed by Ryuga and Law. But the three children were unaware that they already run deep into the forest.

At some point, the butterfly disappeared from Lami's sight. This made the little girl feel sad.

Ryuga, on the other hand, realized something wrong with them. He observed his surroundings in panic.

"Wait…Where are we?" asked Ryuga.

Same with Ryuga, Law also did the same thing. His current expression showed that he was afraid. 

"We…We're lost," said Law tremblingly.

Hearing Ryuga and Law's words, Lami became scared. She hid behind his brother's body. 

"W-What should we do? I'm scared," whispered Lami as she squeezed her brother's shirt.

"Of course, we should look for the way out from here," answered Law who was a bit annoyed with his sister, "I and Ryuga already warned you not to run to the forest. But you do not listen to us," he continued by reprimanding his younger sister.

As she heard his brother's reprimand, Lami bowed her head wearily without saying a word. Watching this scenery, Ryuga felt empathetic to her.

"That's enough, Law. Scolding Lami too hard will not solve the problem," reprimanded Ryuga as he gazed into Law's eyes. "The most important thing that we should do is finding the way out from here."

The three children tried their best to figure the way out. However, it seemed that their efforts didn't go along with the result.

Three hours passed and they still couldn't escape from the forest. This circumstance made Lami begin to cry.

"Don't worry, Lami. We will surely escape from this forest," said Ryuga who tried to calm Lami, "Everything would be alright if we…"

Ryuga paused his words as soon as he saw a massive wild boar. He tried to remain calm, while his two friends trembled in fear.

"…remain together."
