[I had heard that when GOD closes a door in life, they also open several others. But nobody further explained that those doors are way more hidden and harder to go through.]
Shiva looked at his writing and smiled.
"Not bad for my first-ever journal entry in this life"
He read it aloud again to see if the sentence was readable and grammatically correct. It's better to double-check since it's rather hard learning a new language from scratch.
Closing the journal, he lifted his gaze to see the bustling Konoha village with the Hokage mountain at the far end. It's still hard for Shiva to accept that he has reincarnated in Naruto's world.
In his previous life, Shiva was born in India in a middle-class family. While his father hailed from the city, his mother was from the countryside, allowing him to experience the best and worst of both.
His childhood progressed with trying to adapt to peer pressure and study rigorously in an effort to beat everyone in academics. The situation was fine during school but the bubble finally burst when he came to college.
Having no clear goal in life and no social connection with anyone, Shiva found it hard to adapt. His parents still held the expectations of him excelling there and he could not carry the burden anymore.
Thankfully, he did not make any hasty decisions but just secluded himself into his familiar zone of books. He moved away from his curriculum books and drowned himself in manga, novels, fan fiction, and anime.
During this time, he fell in love with Naruto and his story. Lacking the money and means to get the official content, he blatantly downloaded pirated copies of its manga and anime from dubious websites to binge read/watch.
It took him a few months to consume the entire content but by the time he reached the end of Naruto: Shippuden, Shiva could not stop his tears. Naruto's journey inspired him and showed that one can change the world if they have a strong-enough will power.
He got the much-needed confidence he was lacking in his life to find and pursue his own dreams, rather than that of his parents. As he was going to close the video player of my laptop, a pop-up blinked on my screen.
It had the image of the first volume of Naruto's manga with a message.
[Your passion towards Naruto has amazed the AUTHOR. You stand a once in a lifetime chance to pursue your passion and dreams in the Shinobi World. Are you willing?]
[Yes/No]
Shiva was surprised to see that message. For a moment he felt that a virus had infected his laptop while downloading the pirated content. But a tiny bit of hope ignited in his heart, claiming that this might be something significant.
"Maybe it is a survey from Kishimoto? I know he and someone else were cooperating to continue with Boruto"
Shiva had watched the movie and even some of its anime episodes but unfortunately he could not connect with the new series.
Shaking his head at these silly thoughts, he tried to dismiss the pop-up window only to find his entire laptop screen being frozen. Just the Yes and No buttons were blinking in red and blue colors respectively.
"Well what more can happen? Let's just get it on"
Shiva clicked the Yes button and the pop-up closed and the laptop screen also started working normally. He chuckled at himself, being worked up for no-reason.
"Even though I flunk classes in my Computer Science engineering course, I sometimes forget how proficient I am on the subject. I got worried from a silly pop-up when it was nothi—!"
And his sight went black.
