Renji Uchiha wasn’t supposed to exist in this world. Born a year before Sasuke, he carries a secret far beyond the bloodline of the Uchiha, he is a transmigrator, once an ordinary man from Earth, now reborn into a clan on the edge of extinction. Gifted with the rare power of Kagebōshi Ryūsei, an ability that allows him to burn through his life force to access an explosive surge of chakra, Renji knows the price of his strength: every time he uses it, his lifespan dwindles. But that isn’t his only gift. The passive gathering of life energy, known as Eien Seishin, flows through him constantly, slowly enhancing his vitality and chakra reserves, giving him a seemingly endless well to draw from. With memories of Earth still intact, Renji holds a dangerous advantage, he knows the future, the massacre of the Uchiha, the rise of Naruto, and the devastation that the shinobi world will face. Armed with this knowledge, Renji walks a thin line between changing fate and letting history unfold, all while battling the growing temptation to use his immense power. Will he stand as a shadow behind the key players of history, or will he seize control of his destiny, risking everything for the chance to rewrite the future?
"Mom... I'm sorry."
A young man can be seen lying in his blood with a bullet mark on his head right above his right eye.
His name is Ryan Carter, and he is only 19 years old. Even though he died, or rather, got killed by someone with a gun, no one is going to uphold justice for him.
That is because Ryan is a member of the Orange Society, a mafia organization that deals with drugs and human trafficking across the entire Middle East. No one knows where their headquarters is, and obviously, Ryan is just a member of their branch in Wales for one year at most.
Despite being active primarily in the Middle East, this organization has a presence worldwide, making it one of the largest mafia organizations in the world.
Now, Ryan was a patient with Cystic Fibrosis, and his father died of the same condition pretty early in his mid-thirties.
Ryan's entire family savings were spent on his father's treatment, and his single mother struggled to raise him and his younger sister. Not to mention the fact that both Ryan and his sister Emily have the same disease as their father.
Typically, this genetic disorder occurs only if both parents carry one gene from each other. From this, it can be seen that their mother also carries this gene, making both children affected.
Ryan, in particular, has one of the severe forms, making his lifespan very short. He knows that he won't live past 25. This revelation made him mature pretty early and decide to give his best before he died and provide enough money for his sister's treatment, which might allow her to live well into her fifties.
He knew that he would die quite quickly due to the nature of the job he took in the organization, but he wasn't that worried as he knew that he didn't have much time anyhow.
In the one year that he joined, he, along with his pretty adventurous buddy, did a lot of 'jobs.' Ryan was able to earn a lot of money and he knew that if he continued earning like this, he would be able to provide enough for his mother to live properly and for his sister to live a bit more comfortably in at most one more year.
But who knew that his luck, which was already pretty bad from his birth, would run out quickly, and both of them would get shot dead by the police during their 'job.'
Ryan doesn't know how the police knew about them, nor does he care why the police directly killed them instead of apprehending them.
All that flashed in his mind were the apologies to his childhood buddy, Mark, who got involved in this hellhole because of him so that he could take care of him. And the faces of his mother, his weak sister, and some calculations of the money he made so far.
All these thoughts went so fast in Ryan's punctured brain, making him realize that the money he made so far was probably not enough from what he initially planned.
He knew that it would relieve their burden for some years at least, and he hoped that his mother could make some money. Still, he couldn't help but feel sorrow for being given such a hellhole of a life.
He simply apologized to his mother as his last words before his body functions completely shut down due to the death of cells in his body.
"Sigh... What have I done?"
Somewhere far in the realm of the unknown, a sigh echoed, causing the entire realm to tremble slightly.
"Guess... I will just have to compensate a bit."
That voice muttered to itself before a huge hand formed out of nowhere. The hand then slowly moved towards a certain direction, as though wanting to grasp something.
On Earth, at the site of Ryan's death, a light orb suddenly burst forth from his lifeless body, rushing toward the endless sky. It broke through Earth's atmosphere in a millisecond and traversed the solar system in one second.
It traveled for around two to three minutes before it reached the giant hand.
The giant hand gently cradled the light orb in its palm.
"Now... Where should I place you? Hm... Alright."
The voice muttered to itself once more before making a decision and moving in a specific direction.
"Hm? Who is it? Someone from Mother's clan?"
As the hand breached a certain world, an old man suddenly opened his eyes in alarm. He searched for the source of the disturbance but couldn't pinpoint it, his brows furrowing with worry.
"Tsk... Noticed by such a low-level life form."
The voice muttered again in disdain but didn't seem too concerned about it.
"This world is so... peaceful."
The voice sighed once more, its attention shifting to the glowing orb cradled in its hand.
"I'm giving you two gifts as compensation, and with that, I hope the karma between us is settled."
With those words, the voice released its grasp on the orb. It shot off, guided by some unseen force, speeding toward an unknown village. Eventually, it disappeared entirely within an unremarkable compound.
"Alright... I've done what I can. Now, let's hope we never cross paths again, Ryan."
The voice lingered momentarily after the orb found its destination, finally uttering Ryan's name before fading away entirely.
