Hyuga Affair!

I walked through the Konoha shopping district while searching for any signs of dissent from the villagers to the Uchiha flag on my back I also was searching for a vendor that sells balloons.

"Hey, how much for these balloons?" I asked the middle-aged man, the shop was a general utility shop that sold all kinds of supplies, and I found a bunch of balloons behind the counter. Apparently, me being a kid helped even if I was wearing a forehead protector, the old man smiled and said, "1 balloon for an RYO, and no telling anyone where you bought them from, I don't want my shop being pranked in retaliation..."

I stared at the man for a bit before nodding and pulling 100 RYO from my pockets, "Do you know where I could find some paint and itching powder?" I asked with a shifty expression as I scanned my surroundings, the old man grinned and grabbed two small boxes from behind his back and spoke, "I think I misspoke earlier, it's 3 RYO for one ballon, but since you are buying so many I'll give you a 25 RYO discount..." he winked in the end and I pulled out another 175 before turning to leave, "Hey do you know where I can find rubber balls?" that got the old man thinking while I swiftly threw everything in my inventory.

"I think Hisagiri at the shop just around the corner sold some, but I don't know if he has any right now!" I gave the old man a smile and a thumbs-up before I walked out of the room.

'So Danzo hasn't started spreading any rumors about the clan right now, maybe he is still planning what to do...' I thought as I purchased a dozen rubber balls from the shop and sealed it in a scroll, after that I made my way towards the shinobi shops, most of the supplies I bought were from there, I walked into the Higurashi weapons shop, it was a famous weapons shop among the higher-ups so their goods were a little pricey but I had money to spare...

"Ah Fujii-kun what brings you here today?" the owner of the shop was a little buff, he stood above almost everyone I had seen to date, he had scars covering his arms while his attire left his arms bare.

"Just resupplying, I think it's almost time we get a C-Rank mission so I was going to get some higher-grade supplies and I'll be taking those Ninjato's from your hands..." Kenta nodded at me and I turned towards the shelf, there sitting behind me were two short swords covered in black sheaths.

I carefully picked one of them up and opened it to look at them carefully, the swords were black with a white shining edge, indicating it was made from chakra metal. The swords were a bit expensive for a genin but since I have money lying around in the bank I decided to buy them, plus my kenjutsu had reached a respectable level.

I had been practicing with wooden swords with clan members almost every day on both my Taijutsu and Kenjutsu, while my taijutsu was breaching into Level '30s, my kenjutsu prowess progressed rather quickly. Kenta returned with a new stack of Kunai and Shuriken along with smoke bombs and ink for fuinjutsu and blank scrolls. I opened a sealing scroll sealing all the supplies and a gasp broke me out of my thoughts, a small girl was looking at me with wonder in her big brown eyes, I gave her another look before turning to Kenta.

"305,000" I winced at the price once again, although it would cut into my savings I had already gone and collected the money from the bank, I pulled out a scroll from my jacket and placed it on the table, "That's 300,000, I think you should give me a little discount on the rest of the supplies right?" I winked and quickly sealed the two swords into a scroll, I waved my hand and walked away before Kenta could say anything.

'Say what you want about his wares, but that man is too stingy...' I grumbled as I jumped on the rooftop and made my way towards the Uchiha district, I was about to go back home when I found Fugaku walking towards his. Changing my direction I jumped towards him, I came to halt in front of him, his hand was raised as I sensed 2 Uchiha's hiding nearby.

"Fujii-kun how are you, it's been so long since you visited us, why don't you come with me Itachi would be pleased to meet you..." Fugaku smiled and I bowed slightly. Since he invited me home, I can't exactly decline, it took us 3 minutes to walk back to his house, I watched Itachi holding Sasuke in his hands, Sasuke was almost 2 now, and he was crawling in his lap.

"Fujii-san, how are you," Itachi greeted me and I nodded politely in return before his attention once again focused on his brother who started clapping to gain his attention.

'Damn he really was a needy brat huh!'

I walked and sat down with Fukagu as Itachi and Sasuke played, "Umm Fugaku-sama, Sensei was called in suddenly today during our training with a messenger hawk, is something happening in the village?"

Fugaku looked to be in thought before he nodded and spoke, "The skirmishes with Kumo have been increasing recently, a council meeting was called today to prepare for countermeasures..." he was about to say something but then he stopped and looked at me with curious eyes.

"I forgot about it before, but now that you are a genin, it's time you become a part of the council meetings, there is one today at the Naka Shrine, stay for dinner we'll go together..." I smiled and nodded.
