Naruto AU: A Certain Taiyou Hikaru

A boy born in the land of tea was sent to konoha academy by his farmer parents to become a ninja. His dream is to make his own clan, and it will be a powerful one. This will take place in the blank years after shippuden. Though it is heavily AU simply because I despise OP characters. So all OP characters are downgraded to be closer to the rest. My MC won't be OP either for that matter but he might become strong one day. Also I find it boring for all that tech being introduced in Boruto..actually forget you ever saw Boruto. ------------------------------------------ This is a fanfic inspired by the original source material of Naruto. Please support the official release and know I claim no ownership or credit regarding the existence of pre-existing characters or content related to the series and its author, Masashi Kishimoto. I also don't own the rights to the cover image.

Chapter 3, Misunderstanding

Ever since that morning Mirai hadn't been able to get him out of her mind. It was something about his eyes that just entranced her so she almost assumed he was from some kind of genjutsu clan. Later she found out he was just a commoner and it appears no one else was this stunned when they looked into his eyes. Something was off about the whole thing!!!

All throughout the day she had kept track of how good he was and although he was pretty strong and he had a good aspiration there was nothing special about him. He hadn't gotten any kind of training as far as she could tell. What was up with this guy! Taiyou Hikaru, she was going to confront him after the last class!

The class was ending and when she had finally said good bye to her friends she looked around only to realize Hikaru was gone! She did however see one of his commoner friends. Mibuna, Mibune, Mebuni or something was her name and Mirai ran up to her. "Excuse me! Eh..Mibune was it?"

The girl turned around with a slight disdain which very quickly disappeared as she answered "Mibuna, yes that's me. What's up Mirai?" Mirai was a bit embarrassed to get the name wrong but didn't let it show "Yes of course, sorry about that I'm terrible with names!" she hit her head and stuck out her tongue to lighten the mood and appear aloof "But anyway, where did Hikaru go?"

This made Mibuna smirk a bit at her "Ohh, you're interested in the farmboy are you?" Mibuna winked at her and Mirai could feel her cheeks getting warmer before dejecting that statement "No, I just want to know what kind of technique he used on me earlier!" Mibune was obviously confused 'Technique? Hikaru doesn't know any nin- or genjutsu, he doesn't even know how to fight with his fists..'

"I have no idea what you're talking about but he went to the shopping district just now, I bet you can catch up." To this Mirai lit up and smiled wide at Mibune, barely having time to throw in a thanks before running off in that direction. After a short while she found him and yelled after him "Hikaru! Wait up!!"

When she finally got up to him it was as if she lost her words again. 'What is he doing to me? I have to find out!' Instead of asking the question she wanted though, she asked "Oh, are you buying groceries for your mother to cook tonight?" Hikaru looked at her confused.

---------------------------------

Was this what she wanted with him? "No my parents are far away from here, I'm going to the orphanage to get help cooking some food for the week. I've never lived alone before." This seemed to surprise the girl in front of him. "Do you want to help me or what was it you wanted?"

He didn't want to appear annoyed but at the same time Hikaru didn't want to be late to the orphanage. His parents always taught him to keep his promises and he had made a promise to be on time tonight.

"No there's something else.." Hikaru noticed that Mirai's eyes went to the floor at this point for some reason. "Well the-" He started before she blurted out "What did you do to me this morning? What kind of techniques have you used on me?" She now stared right into his eyes with her cheeks growing redder for every second.

Hikaru was confused and slightly angry "I did to YOU?! You jumped me this morning! I don't know any techniques, I'm a commoner you know. Now let me get back to this so I won't be late." He turned around and left, leaving a frustrated Mirai behind.

The next day the official training finally started. During this Hikaru noticed that he couldn't get any chakra to exit his body at all. Somehow however the chakra control training was going fine when it was about circulating inside the body. For this reason, Ninjutsu wasn't very easy and he couldn't even get anything to happen during class.

Iruka got the idea that he was another case like Rock Lee and made sure to focus on Hikaru a bit harder during the taijutsu training instead. Iruka would have to take some time to think about this.

The rest were having no specific problems. The "common-three" were miles above the rest of the commoners but in the ninjutsu classes the gap was wide up to the clanpeeps. Mirai was of course at top but she appeared to get more and more annoyed each time Hikaru failed with anything.

Hikaru and his new friends made a promise to each other that they would train together and push each other every day after school from now on, they would catch up eventually! To show they can do this without a legacy to back them up.

As soon as school was over the four friends gathered and ran towards the place they wanted to train. But when they got there, there was already some uncle in a wheelchair with a tight green suit waiting there for them. His black hair was unnervingly shiny and his eyebrows were the thickest Hikaru had ever seen.

"HA HA HA! How fantastic to see the next generation embracing the power of youth!" The man then looked at each of them one by one "Which one of you is Hikaru?"

I like experimenting with some dual perspectives!

I'd like to make it clear that there won't be much romance in this fanfic for quite a while, this is just small children who don't know what's going on. (I find it very strange when novels go into romance between small children who know nothing about anything..)

Also, there will be a small time skip to the next chapter.
