After Eating Ramen, a few Months Passed Pretty fast.
In class, Natsuki stayed as unremarkable as ever. Compared to the two talented girls seated next to him, his performance could only be described as average.
He focused on his training, deciding to learn Chakra Control, especially the ones shown in the series, Like Tree walking and water walking. After an entire month of training, he finally learned how to tree walk without Slipping or getting blasted off the tree.
He knows that Chakra Control is the most important thing in This world, as any jutsu needed some kind of chakra control to use effectively, unless you are Naruto with a shit-ton of Chakra, or Sasuke/Kakashi who could copy Ninjutsu. he doesn't have any of that, so he focuses on the basics, to build his foundation.
"I fear not the man who has practiced 10,000 kicks once, but I fear the man who had practiced one kick 10,000 times."― Bruce Lee said it best, If Natsuki Properly Develops his basics, he has a much better chance to Survive and escape this village As well as the world.
During the training, Ruri constantly came to annoy Natsuki, asking him for a fight over and over. Natsuki would always ignore her, but her sheer Persistence was insanely Annoying. he couldn't even talk bad about her. After all, Ruri was the only one who knew he was hiding his true abilities. If he showed his real strength, he'd rank easily among the top three in the class.
after an entire month of Nagging, Natsuki finally broke down and gave what Ruri Wanted-
A Fight.
but, he kept specific conditions that While Made Ruri annoyed, she accepted. No 1 was Her NEVER saying anything about His Abilities, no discussion, nothing. until Natsuki was the only one near her, she wouldn't show any intent of speaking of his abilities.
No 2 was that they would fight on one single day of every Week, with everything they got. Something Ruri was perfectly Happy with. The strategy for this was that Natsuki and Ruri would train for 6 Consecutive days and show their result on the seventh day, which was decided as Sunday.
Natsuki kept this as a condition since he wanted to know just how strong he had gotten during training, and fighting Ruri was a good reason to scale how strong he got. Not only that, this would allow him to figure out how to properly fight, something he doesn't know fully.
Having knowledge on how to fight and using that knowledge During a fight are two very different things.
During their weekly spars, Natsuki used his knowledge of Chakra Control to boost his physical capabilities, taking Ruri by surprise sometimes. But, the fight always ended in Ruri's victory. Natsuki's relationship with Ruri grew rapidly, mainly because she frequently sought him out for sparring after school.
Natsuki gradually approaches her level in real combat, creating a mutually beneficial learning experience. To Ruri's surprise, Natsuki's progress was astonishing.
Months Passed, and As their sparring intensified, she found it increasingly difficult to overpower him, sensing that it wouldn't be long before he might actually turn the tables on her.
The thought of being overpowered was hard for Ruri, the Uchiha prodigy, to accept. For her—a talent who trained weekly with elite family Jonin—to be potentially outdone in just a month or two by a boy she'd consistently bested was a stain on her reputation as an Uchiha genius. So, she was determined to reclaim the upper hand and keep him in check.
To uphold the pride of the Uchiha clan.
She Physically and mentally pushed herself, learning a Jutsu that no one in her Age could do so before:- Fire Release:- Fireball Jutsu.
This Jutsu alone makes it Harder For Natsuki To Win, but along with her Clan's Uchiha's Interceptor Fist, He starts losing badly. but, this Motivates Natsuki to find a counter to this.
but, the time of Intense sparring ends as the Graduation Days come for all of the students.
The assignments are easy, atleast to Genins.there were Three assignments, the first assignment is to Write Question and Answers, where Geological Questions and basic questions about Kunai and Shuriken. Ruri has the highest score in this, while Ayane comes second and I come 12th, just so I could continue hiding my full Abilities.
The second assignment was About Chakra control exercises, where the person who stays the longest with a leaf stuck to their head. Ayane had the highest score in this assignment due to using her Byakugan to help in Chakra Control.
The third assignment was a Versus battle, where all of the year's were put against each other in rounds. The final Round was the top students of the year, Ayane and Ruri. Natsuki got knocked out in the third Round, and so, he watches from the Sidelines while his two friends fight each other. Mr. Fujimura Noticed the development Natsuki Made, and congratulated him for it.
Both Ruri and Ayane are somewhat acquaintances, with Ayane even considering Ruri her friend. But, that doesn't mean both of them Are gonna go easy with each other. Ayane is the best in Taijutsu, but Ruri having more combat experience due to Fighting With Natsuki every week, along with her Fireball Jutsu, she is able to take a win Against Ayane.
Natsuki approaches both of them,cheering up Ayane for her loss and Congradulating Ruri. Ayane Shrugs it off, saying that she doesn't care about the outcome, as she had a fight that she liked and did what She wanted. That alone made her impervious to any jealousy and anger which comes from a loss.
With it, the School Year ends, all of the Students were sent home for Holidays which lasted a couple of months. During those Months, Natsuki and Ruri continued sparring, increasing their fighting capabilities and Natsuki learned something interesting, thanks to his insane effort, dedication and prior knowledge.
Earth Release: Rock Shield, where it allows Natsuki to create a shield by pushing a giant piece of earth from the ground. This takes immense Chakra, especially with the amount of an Orphan Civilian Boy, but this counters Ruri's Fireball Jutsu, allowing Natsuki to even the playing field.
but, he still doesn't win.
With the Holidays coming to an end, the first day of classes starts, and Natsuki notices something. He hasn't had any contact with Ayane over the past few months, and currently, She was absent, even as the first period was about to begin. This struck Natsuki as strange.
As a member of the Hyuga clan's branch family, Ayane was bound by certain standards and behaviors. Skipping or arriving late to class was highly out of character for her. Just before the end of the first period, the sound of footsteps echoed from the doorway.
Ayane stood alone, silent, biting her lip as if struggling to hold back tears, a deep sadness and despair hanging over her. A white band now adorned her forehead—a sudden and unusual accessory for her.
Before this, Ayane had never worn anything like that. Her teacher, Mr. Fujimura, initially seemed ready to scold her, but noticing the sorrow radiating from her, he sighed and simply said, "Come in. Next time, try not to be late."
Ayane nodded, and under the confused stares of her classmates, she took her seat.
"Good morning, Natsuki," she said, attempting her usual greeting. But her smile was faint, and tears continued to well up in her eyes. Without waiting for a response, she buried her head on her desk, as though hiding her vulnerability from the world.
The other students exchanged murmurs and curious glances, some pointing and whispering. While they might not know the details, their expressions seemed to hint they knew something was off.
Natsuki at first was confused WHY Ayane was reacting like this, but he soon understood why-
