Chapter 1- Nameless Is Back

"Celia!"

I turn my head over my shoulder, dropping my barbies onto the floor.

"Yes?"

"Do you want to play the ouija board with me and Luke?"

I shrug, scooching over to where they are and plopping down in front of the board.

I look over all the intricate markings, letters, and numbers.

Then the planchette.

The little triangle like thing, that has an eye shaped hole right on the middle.

Creepy. And I'm not getting good vibes from this at all.

"How do you play it?"

"You just put two fingers on the planchette, then we can ask the spirits questions!"

"That's pretty cool! But...I don't have a good feeling about this..."

My older brother Luke, who was 16 at the time, looks down at me.

"You don't have to play it if you don't want to, Lia. I will play barbies with you later if that makes you feel better?"

I smile at him, shaking my head.

"I will be fine."

I've always loved Luke with all my heart, considering he was the best older brother I could ever ask for.

He even played with me sometimes.

I look at my older cousin Lilliana, and nod.

"I'll play with you guys."

Lilli squeals with excitement, and we all place our fingers on the board.

"Hello, spirits. We welcome you to take some of our energy to speak to us through the board. May I ask my first question?"

The planchette moves to YES.

"Okay...are you a girl or a boy?"

G, then I, then R, then L.

"A girl, okay. What's your name?"

It spells out NAMELESS.

"You don't have a name? Or you don't want to say? Move to one for the first one and two for the second."

The planchette travels to 2.

"Alright. Are you a demon?"

The planchette doesn't move.

"You don't want to answer?"

It moves to NO, and a wave of uneasiness washes over me.

I don't like this anymore...

"Guys...I have a bad feeling...I don't like it."

"Lilli, we have to say goodbye. It's making her uncomfortable."

"Lia, you'll be fine for a few more minutes. You don't have to say anything."

I frown.

"Okay..."

"Are you a spirit?"

The planchette doesn't move and Lilli rolls her eyes.

"This thing won't answer anything! Are you bad?! Answer that at least!"

Y,

E,

S.

VERY.

Very bad spirit...or demon?

"A-Are you going to hurt us?"

It spells out a sentence.

NO, I'M ONLY HERE TO HELP...MAYBE THAT'LL CAUSE SOME PAIN ON SOME PEOPLE...

My eyes widen as tears run down my cheeks.

I immediately take my hands off the board, sobbing hysterically.

"LIA!! You aren't supposed to take your hands off the board until we say goodbye!"

I start to panic even more now, leaning back over the board.

She spells out something else.

SILLY, SILLY GIRL.

"Can we leave?!"

The planchette moves to yes, and we move it to goodbye.

But as soon as my fingers hit the board again, I feel an energy shoot into me.

Something—or someone.

"Hello, Celia. Long time no see..."

A voice echos in my head, and I look around frantically.

"We can either do this the easy way, or the hard way. I suggest you choose the easy route and just let me take control."

"Who are you?! P-Please, make it stop!"

"Lia?! What's going on with you?!"

I feel something dripping down my nose, and I see blood.

Lots of it.

"I'm Nameless. Your now inner person. The supernatural part of you."

"You're not real! You're not real!"

"I am, I'm just as human as you are. Which at this point, is none."

My eyes start to glow bright white, and white lines circle around my wrists and create a ball of white light in my palm, while my other hand circulates violet and glows violet on the palm and my left eye.

"Lia?!"

My brother and cousin look horrified, as a nasty smirk spreads across my face.

"Hello, Luke. Lilliana. It's me, Nameless."

**********************

I wake up, my head banging against the bed's headboard.

I scrunch my eyes shut, rubbing my head as a splitting headache subsides and a single tear slides down my cheek.

Nameless...

I don't want her to invade my head ever again.

She's still there, I know it, but she hasn't showed in me since I was fourteen.

Three years ago.

The evil thing that escaped the ouija board and into me when I was seven.

The evil thing that was responsible for my cousin being driven mad and my brother in a coma ever since from me blasting him with the light that came from my hands.

The lightning.

The evil thing that made me the psycho I am today.

All across the United States, I'm the biggest and craziest psychopath out there.

But since I'm only seventeen, they have me in juvie instead of real prison.

"Lunch time, everyone! Move over to the cafeteria!"

The door to my room opens, and I sluggishly slide out and to the cafeteria.

Just another day for me to probably get into a fistfight.

I sit at the table farthest from everyone, picking at my food.

At the corner of my eye, I see Taylor and her group of bimbos coming my way.

I'm not in the mood for this.

"What do you want?"

"Why don't you look at that? The psycho is sitting all by herself."

"What is this? Kindergarten? Bullying is not even a thing anymore. Grow up. I'm not in the mood for you."

"You're a sociopath. Why would you ever be in the mood to talk to people?!"

"Never. Exactly why you should get out of my face before I squish yours between my hands like a pancake."

"I would like to see you try."

As I'm looking down at my food, a smirk goes across my face.

"I would love to."

I get up at the speed of light, punching her across the face.

Hard.

"Ugh!"

She throws a punch at me as everyone watches in fear, even her little group of bimbos.

Funny to know they won't even help their "friend".

"Wrong decision, Taylor."

I punch her one last time across the face, watching as she falls to the floor, unconscious.

Just perfect for my plan of action.

Everyone screams and runs, and I just shrug as a police officer runs in.

"Mae! What happened?!"

"She just got really pale all of a sudden and fainted."

"Then why was everyone running out and screaming? And why do you have blood on your hands?!"

"They were trying to get your guy's attention. And I was checking if she was okay because she hit her head pretty hard on the lunch table."

"Oh. Okay then."

The officer goes down on their knees, holding Taylor by the shoulders.

"Brown! Brown do you hear me?! Wake up?!"

I slip my hand into her belt, grabbing the keys and her gun.

Easy.

I walk straight out, running through the tons of teenagers who are still screaming for no reason, and unlocking a door to get to the exit with the key card.

"Mae! Freeze!"

They point their guns at me, and I point mine at them.

"How in the hell did she get a gun?!"

"They call me the countries psychopath for a reason."

I pull the trigger, and nothing happens.

"Ohh, shit. What officer carries a empty gun?!"

"She was going to try and shoot us! Get her!!"

I hold my hands up in surrender when they come towards me, watching them stop mid run.

"What?!"

"Now, I know you guys liked me a little, and you wouldn't be able to be with me if you arrested me, right?"

"Huh?!"

I punch him across the face, just as the other whips out their gun.

Need my help?

"N-Nameless?"

I mumble, and I hear a giggle in my head.

That's me, dearie. Missed me, no? Just let me take control and I'll get you out of here...we can work together on this one.

"Last time I trusted you you got me into this place! You're evil!"

"Dude, she's talking to herself now..."

I'm coming whether you like it or not. Say goodbye to officer Dave and officer Max...

I feel a warmth in my veins as a white light bursts from my hands and into the two officers, Nameless's light.

You're welcome.

I hear her giggles fade away, and my veins throb with warmth as my breathing goes ragged.

I bend down, picking up his bomb.

What officer has a grenade?

I hold it tightly, running into another room.

Oh no.

There are about eight officers standing there, armed with guns.

"Drop the weapon, Mae. We can do this the easy way—"

"Or the hard way. I know. Heard that phrase many times. I say the easy way."

I throw the grenade at their feet, and the officer looks down at it.

"Why did she throw a green ball at me that's ticking?!"

"You idiot! It's a—"

BOOM!!

The bomb explodes, and I just watch as they get blown up.

"A grenade. I know, Sasha. Too bad, you were my favorite cop...JK. I hated you all."

I walk straight out of the building, running across the street and stopping right in front of a guy on a motorbike.

"Give it!"

He looks at me, then the new gun in my hand.

"If you don't, I'm gonna blow your brains out."

"Fine! Take the bike! Just don't kill me!"

"Thanks, sucker! Bye bye!"

I speed off on the motorbike, frowning when I hear sirens behind me.

Should've thought about that.

"What do I do?!"

I hear one yell.

"Shoot her, you dumbass!"

I hear gunshots, and do my best to dodge them on the darn bike.

Obviously it didn't work, because one pierced right through my right arm. My good arm.

I let out a yelp as I lose control of the darn bike, flying off the vehicle and straight into a tree inside the forest.

I flew far, damn.

"Fuck..."

I hear a ton of footsteps coming my way, knowing it's the freaking cops...who I'll absolutely never be able to escape considering I lost my gun somewhere and I got shot by those motherfuckers.

You still have me...

I block Nameless out, not wanting her to take over again.

They all stop in front of me, holding up their guns.

I swear there's at least ten of them.

Ten of which I cannot handle at the moment.

I hold my hands up, wincing from the pain in my shoulder.

"Hey, hey, hey. We can talk this out, you know?"

"You're coming back with us, Mae. Now."

"I'm not necessarily sure I want to though..."

"We didn't ask! Stop stalling!"

"I'm not—"

A huge blast of bright orange lightning appears, blinding me as someone appears right in front of me.

My eyes widen, and he blows a flame from his fingertips.

"Well, well, well. Look who we have here...puny officers."

"You take that back, flame boy! We'll arrest you too!"

"No need..."

I can hear the smirk in his voice as orange lines that resemble lightning bolts swarm in his skin, coming out as burning flames at his fingertips.

"I'll burn you to death by then."

"Wha—"

An orange blast hits all the officers, creating a wall of flames between us and them.

I can feel the heat from here...Jesus.

He turns to look at me gingerly, smirking.

"Well hello there, was it Cecily? Cecilia? Sissy?"

"Who the fuck are you?!"

My face contorts with anger.

Because I am not happy that this, I don't know, blowtorch-possessing-man saved me!

I can save myself!

His hazel eyes move to the gunshot wound that's already healing on my arm, then up to my face.

"Why so angry, sweetheart? I just saved your life, you know. I would like a thanks."

"I could've handled them. I'm not a damsel in distress and I can handle myself."

"Princess, ten cops, against you? I would've payed to watch that."

"Mind telling me why literal flames came out of your hands?!"

"I'm pretty sure you know the answer to that, dear."

"Quit it with the pet names, dude!"

"I don't even know your real name, Princess."

"And I'm not telling you, Princess."

He rolls his eyes, swiftly grabbing my wrist.

"Hey! Watch it you—"

He spins me around to face him, so we're practically chest to face at the moment...don't judge me. I'm small.

My eyes widen, and a triumphant look crosses his orange specked eyes.

"I know how to shut her mouth, fun stuff."

My eyes move between his hand on my wrist, then how close I am to him, then his face.

"Get off of me, you big bitch. And if you don't I won't hesitate to...to—"

"To what?!"

Right.

I can't do anything.

Not without—

Me. Let's show him who's the boss, no?

You're evil, Nameless. Stop bothering me.

Come on, just this once? I'm tired of being trapped inside your head, let me come out!

Fine. Do you promise to go back after?

Only this once, sweets. Then I'll come back whenever I want.

Okay...do your thing.

"Princess, are you doing okay?"

Manic laughter escapes my lips as the wound closes up on my arm, and one of my violet eyes glows white and the other blueish purple.

My hair turns a silvery color, and a smirk lines my lips.

"Woah!"

He immediately lets go of my arm, as violet and and white trail up them.

"Not so brave now, are we?"

"I think you're losing control..."

"This is part of me...I am Nameless."

My fingers glow at the tips, as small sparks of lightning form at them.

A bolt of violet lightning comes down from the sky, and the man teleports quickly away from it.

"Jesus."

"Wanna fight, babe? It'll be fun...and painful. Unleash the inner demon in you as well. Because we all know you have one."

He grabs my hands, and they sizzle underneath his touch, like he's burning me.

"Nameless, leave her now."

"No, Acheron. I love this feeling..."

"Get out of her before I make you, Nameless. I banished you to the ouija board for a reason."

I make a pretend pout face, and humorless laughter escapes my lips.

"And what'll your demon do about it, huh? We wouldn't want to aggravate him."

Acheron, which I now know is his name, rests his hand on my cheek, and I watch as it sizzles and my eyes flicker between white and violet.

They go back violet, and I release ragged breaths.

"Nameless is gone..."

You'll pay for this, Celia! And Acheron!

I hear her voice echoing in my head, and I know I'm never letting her take control again.

"You got rid of her?!"

"You let her take control again. I'm going to need you to come with me."

"What?! Why?! No!"

He rolls his eyes.

"Fine. We're doing this the hard way."

He rests his hand on my cheek, and my eyes start to droop shut.

"Sleep."
