Chapter 47 - Aftermath

After Yakumo finished absorbing the Ido energy, Ren came close to her and asked "Yakumo are you okay?" she turns and face Ren with a relieved smile and said "Better than ever...I never felt so in control of myself and my powers, and I must say that your inner world is really beautiful..." then after looking around she again ask "But since when you can use jutsus, before you told me that you could only do kenjutsu..."

Then once again Ren told Yakumo his "version" of the story, how he found out early that he also had a Kekkei Genkai but he kept it secret from everyone but the late Hokage and other few people, that not even his parents knew about it.

Then Yakumo ask "So what is your Kekkei Genkai about? I showed you mine, now show me yours..." and once again both notice the involuntary innuendo and start blushing, and to change the subject Ren says "Well...I have never told anyone the truth about it, but everything is linked to the sword in your hand she is Senbonzakura and she is a Zanpakuto"

Interested Yakumo ask "What is a Zanpakuto?" but before Ren could answer they both heard the voice of Senbonzakura that said "Zanpakutos are the mythical weapon of the Shinigamis, they are a reflection of the owner soul and power, while still begin a sentient begin themselves"

Seeing Senbonzakura Yakumo raise her guard but Ren reassure her by saying "Do not worry she is Senbonzakura, she is my sword, my teacher, a part of my own soul and the person I trust the most" and Senbonzakura lightly bow and say "It is a pleasure to finally meet you in person Yakumo-dono" then she turn to Ren and says "Ren-dono I think it's better to get out as Yakumo-dono's parents are starting to get really worried"

Hearing that Yakumo ask how to get out, and Senbonzakura say that she could send her out so Yakumo say "Well then it was nice to meet you Senbonzakura-san, hope we can meet again" and then she fades away from Ren inner world, and as Ren was about to get out he heard Senbonzakura voice that said "Ren-dono after you send out Yakumo and her family, stay in the training ground, as this meeting with that creature, the Ido, changed something in us..."

And without having the chance to ask also Ren get out of his inner world and the first thing he saw, was the scene of the Kurama family hugging together with relieved faces, Yakumo's mother was even crying.

Ren decided to give the family a bit of space and started to move away from the scene, but Uroko noticed and she went to hug him too while saying "Thank you Ren-kun, for risking your life to help Yakumo and my family, I do not know what could have happened if you weren't there for us"

Embarrassed Ren didn't know what to say so he chose to stay silent, after some time the Kurama family chose to go back to Konoha to finally rest, and Ren send them back till the cave entrance then he said "Now you can go back, I'll stay here some more time to train as my teammates will be back to full health in two and half weeks, so untill then I'm free" then Murakumo and Uroko invited him to have a dinner with them the next time he come to visit and waved off, while and Yakumo hugged him before running away blushing.

After the Kurama family was no longer in sight, Ren went back to the training ground , closed it off with the Hachigyō Sōgai (Eight Joined Twin Cliffs) barrier and then manifested Senbonzakura.

As soon as she appeared in front of him, Ren asked "So tell me, what has happened? And are we in danger?" and Senbonzakura with her usual gentle smile says "Do not worry Ren-dono it is a good thing, but first tell me what is the difference between me and a normal Zanpakuto?"

Ren thought about it for a few second before replying "That I can use you without begin a Shinigami?" and Senbonzakura shake her head and says "While that is true it's isn't this one as having me in a sense make you a Shinigami, you have all their powers, it's just that you aren't a spirit so you can be called a living Shinigami, no the main difference is the energy that we use changed, normally a Zanpakuto and a Shinigami use only Reiryoku, spiritual power, to create attacks and other effect but we, we use Chakra that is the combination of spiritual and physical power"

Hearing that Ren nod 'Yeah my previous self chose to have an Asauchi who used the energy of the world he reincarnated in, for fear of begin pitted and find himself with a useless wish' meanwhile Senbonzakura continues "Now after Yakumo-dono defeated the Ido, some of its energy was absorbed by me and I noticed something, that I could use that type of energy to release another power within myself, something I didn't know i was capable of till that point, you see until now every time you release me your Chakra was automatically transforming in the physical part of it, the ones that the ninja calls Yang Chakra, now what do you think will happen if you use the, as the ninja call it Yin Chakra?"

And Ren ask "Yes but how to do it? As you said the Chakra on is own change in the Yang nature" and she replies "It is very simple Ren-dono you simply use another Kaigo (Release Call) it is already in you, Ren-dono just has to find it"

Ren choose to once again trust Senbonzakura, he close his eyes, draw his Zanpakuto and raise it in front of his face, and after staying still in that position for a few minutes he felt something call for him from the deepest part of his soul, he felt two cluster of energy one was very familiar with , it was warm and very active the one he alway called for, the second one, was cool and it almost seemed timid hiding right behind the warm one, almost unnoticeable if one did not search for it, and when Ren focused his attention for it he felt respond to him.

So next Ren opened his eyes and under the watchful gaze of a smiling Senbonzakura, he say in a strong and full confidence voice "Saka (Bloom), Senbonzakura".
