“Amanda,” Lucas lowers his voice, looking down at me, “I really don’t think you should be in the room with us.”
After the car took me right back to the Castle, I found my way to the room where Jaggar was last night and thankfully he was there once again for more questioning. Lucas doesn’t seem pleased that I am here with him.
“Lucas,” I say with the same tone and he narrows his eyes at me, “I can handle myself. Jaggar said he wouldn’t speak to you if I wasn’t in the room, so I can’t imagine he’s given you anything while I’ve been gone, right?”
“Maybe,” Lucas admits with a frown.
“So, I am going to be in the room with you.”
“You know that I am the King, right?” Lucas puts his hands on his hips, trying to intimidate me.
“And I am your wife,” I raise my eyebrows at him. We stare at each other for a few seconds with stern faces before a smile slips onto my face. “Please?”
