Lisa's POV
"What? Don't tell me that kind of joke Lisa; that is not funny." John said as he looked at me sideways while I fixed my gaze on the road. It is now so dark in San Antonio, especially we are on the part that big trees cover the sky, and I wonder why until now there are still no street lights in this part of the national road.
"I am not kidding you, John. I am telling you the truth. I am dying, and there's nothing I can do about it, and that is the reason why I can marry Benedict no matter how much I love him because I know I will only make his life miserable when I am gone. I don't want you to know about my illness, yet I don't think I can walk away from you without telling you the truth." I replied.
