My Cousin My Love

"Papa ... Mama ... why did you leave so quickly? What was my fault that you just left. Even people couldn't find your bodies. Papa ... Mama ...." The atmosphere of the afternoon was touching because of Reina Smith currently orphaned because his parents were in a terrible accident and their bodies could not be found after a week of searching. Reina Smith's parents were declared dead without a body by the search team and accident investigators. Reina becomes a lonely girl because she has no siblings at home.

All afternoon Reina wept over the news that the accident investigators told her. Reina felt like everything said was still impossible in her mind. The parents that Reina loved very much just left bof an accident that claimed their lives. It is forbidden, the bodies of Reyna's parents have not been found at all this week. Reina found all of this strange and confusing. Time passed quickly but the girl was still on strike to eat. Everything feels bland and there is no spirit in Reina anymore.

That night, it rained very hard and scared Reina. She didn't expect to be home alone. Moments later, there was a loud knock on the door. Reina couldn't help but have to open the door because she was the only one in the house. The departure of her parents and the sadness in Reina's heart still filled her eyes until she had been crying all day long. Reina slowly opened the door of the house for fear of who was behind the door.

"Who is there?" Reina asked with fear rising to cover the sadness she had felt since this afternoon.

"This is your aunt, Shelena Carroll. Please open the door because it's raining heavily. Sorry I only got here now." It turned out that the woman behind the door was Reina's aunt. Reina was surprised because she didn't know that she had an aunt. Whether it was from Reina's Papa or Mama, Aunt Shelena Carroll came from a town far enough away from Reina's house to pick her up. Reina opened the door slowly.

"Are you really my aunt? Papa and Mama have never spoken about you. I am also saddened by the announcement from the accident investigator that Papa Mama died without their bodies being found." Reina was confused because her parents had never told her about Aunt Shelena Carroll.

"Yes, I'm your aunt. Here's a photo of me with your parents when you weren't born. We've been apart for a long time. Sorry, I came here late even though I was trying as fast as possible when the police contacted me." Shelena Carroll tried to explain to the beautiful girl in front of her.

Reina also invited Shelena Carroll into the house and sat in the living room after believing in the photo evidence of her parents. Reina was still wondering what her aunt would do by coming to her house late that night. "Auntie, did something come here almost midnight?" Reina wondered to herself.

"Yes, I'm here to ask you to get out of here and live with me. Now, pack up all your clothes and stuff. By tomorrow morning we'll leave here and go to my house." Shelena Carroll gave an order that seemed like it couldn't be denied at all. Reina who was confused obviously immediately denied the words of the woman who declared herself to be Reina's aunt.

"I don't want to, Auntie! I want to wait for Papa and Mama to come back here. Isn't what the police investigator said is not necessarily true because the bodies of my parents were not found at all? I don't want to!" Reina's refusal did not shake Shelena Carroll at all.

What Reina's parents had asked her in the past to do was to take care of Reina when they disappeared or died. All of Reina's parents' assets will be given to Reina when she graduates from university and can manage the company well, before that all assets will be managed by Shelena Carroll as Reina's guardian.

That night, Reina couldn't help but pack up all her belongings and clothes as Shelena Carroll said. Reina left school and friends without saying goodbye because Shelena asked to leave before morning. I don't know what, as if someone is chasing and threatening Reina's life right now. Reina chooses to follow Shelena Carroll's words rather than getting worse because she also holds the will left by Reina's parents.

Throughout the night Reina could close her eyes to sleep because she imagined what would happen tomorrow morning when the trip went to a place she had never been to before. Shelena Carroll stood guard in the living room and didn't sleep at all knowing that something bad was targeting Reina like it was in the will from Reina's parents. Towards morning, Shelena Carroll was about to knock on Reina's door, but the beautiful sharp nosed girl had already opened the door and seemed ready to leave.

"Are you ready?" asked Shelena Carroll to make sure she looked back at the girl in front of her.

"Yes, Auntie. I've brought everything I need." It turned out that Reina was carrying two large bags and also one suitcase. It was seen that the girl had difficulty carrying all the luggage so Shelena Carroll helped carry the luggage. Shelena took a deep breath trying to be patient because Reina was carrying a lot of stuff and it was very heavy.

"Goodbye, my house full of memories. Hopefully there is still hope that Papa and Mama will be found in good health. I will wait well at Aunt Shelena Carroll's house so that when Papa and Mama come back they can find me according to the will." Reina spoke in her heart while looking at the house full of happy memories with her parents before going to a faraway place. Reina feels sad but all must be lived. This is the beginning of Reina's new life. A journey of Reina's life that will either end in good or bad. Reina was forced to join Aunt Shelena in order to follow the words of her parents written in the will. Reina has no other choice to survive without her parents.
