You hide the reality

"Whom were you meeting at this time", her stepmother asked.

"I just wanted to meet Louis and-" she got interrupted by her. She chuckled and said "you know I have my eyes on you every minute so, don't try to act as if I didn't know about anything."

Lisa was struggling to process her words but couldn't. And said " Get to the point."

"Are you trying to fool us or what but sorry daughter you failed", her mother whispered in her ear.

"I just wanted to meet my childhood best friend, what is wrong here", Lisa said while trying her best not to get angry over someone who wasn't worth of.

With a sarcastic tone her step mother said, " childhood best friend or much more than-"

"Oh please stop it", Lisa said with an annoying face.

But her step mother got angry and started rebuking Lisa. Lisa was tired of her so, she shut the door of her room on her stepmother's face with loud sound to make her flinch.

Lisa never took her words to heart because she knew that her stepmother hated her for nothing so, her words means nothing to her too.

Lisa scrolling through her Instagram and saw Louis new post with him together eating ice cream.

"It was so cold but her ice creams never", Louis caption.

Lisa's face had big smile and gave him a like on his post.

After scrolling for sometime, she felt sleepy and decided to sleep.

Next morning, she got up at 10 am because school was off. She did her morning routine and went outside her room to cook something for her in kitchen. Yes, her stepmother never cook for her. She had her breakfast. But while keeping plates in sink her stepmother approached her and apologized for yesterday's fight. Lisa knew that it was all her drama to make her cook for her.

But not this time as Lisa excused her and said " You should be", slowly not enough for stepmother to listen. Lisa laughed a little once she went inside her room.

Time passed to afternoon, Lisa was all bored sitting in her house all day. So, she took her pet out for a walk in a nearby park. She was playing with her pet but soon she saw Tessa figure standing and talking to a man. Lisa couldn't see his face because his back was facing her. She could see Tessa's expression of anger clearly. She was getting curious to know whom she was talking with that kind of expression on her face. So, she walked towards them casually and tried to see his face. But unfortunately, Tessa noticed her walking figure towards them.

But then Tessa pointed at him to leave. With a disappointed face Lisa stood there with her pet. She was about to turn around because she didn't want to face Tessa. Soon, she felt someone's hand around her wrist. Without a single guess she turned around to see that Tessa was there.

What?"

"Nothing, just found your pet so cute", Tessa stated.

"oh, yes unlike you", Lisa whispered

She got up to Lisa's level and asked, " So you live here?"

"Yeah! I guess", Lisa said with a annoying face.

Okay!!" then why I didn't see you before because I also live here", Tessa asked.

"Thanks to you", I didn't meet you before otherwise-" she got cut off, when someone called Lisa from far.

Without even saying bye, Lisa went back to her home where she found her dad standing with a serious expression on his face and went inside the house.

"What's up dad?"

"Why you came late last night?" dad asked.

"Went to meet Louis, why?" she said casually because her dad knew Louis very well.

"Okay, go now,"

Lisa's dad was protective towards her so, Lisa didn't mind him asking all that. But she knew who told him about all that.

"Why you always make me doubt my own daughter", her dad asked her step mother with pure anger in his eyes.

"Why are you not believing me, she didn't went out to meet him but someone else", still trying her best to convince him.

"Please, shut up I am not here to listen your nonsense talks", he said and went away from her to avoid unnecessary fights with her over Lisa.

On the other hand, Lisa was listening to their talks.

"Why they always have fight over me?" she thought to herself.

Lisa went to the kitchen to make dinner for her dad and of course for herself. As soon as, she reached and found that kitchen was whole mess. She sighed before cleaning the kitchen and made dinner.

They both had their dinner and exchanged some words before going to bed. Lisa always feel relieved after talking to her dad because he was the only person whom she loved. Her dad also felt the same way.

Next morning, she was getting ready for school. She cursed herself for getting up late.

But soon enough she heard her doorbell rang.

"Who is here?" Lisa asked with a loud voice.

"A ghost", Louis yelled!

"Oh my dear ghost, I am coming in a minute", she yelled back.

Louis chuckled and waiting for her to come out.

Soon she came out with breakfast in her both hands. Of course, one was for Louis.

Lisa teased him, "Oh I'm sorry I couldn't bring you breakfast",

"No problem, I think instead of food, I should try you today", he laughed a little after saying.

Lisa slapped him slowly on his shoulder and gave him food.

They were teasing each other, they didn't realised that they reached their school.

They entered into class. Lisa's eyes caught a figure of Tessa and remembered about yesterday.

"Oh, I totally forgot about that man", said Lisa.

With a little tease, Lisa said loud enough to get Tessa's attention, "Louis, I guess someone is in relationship here", With a corner of her eyes, she watched Tessa.

"What did you say?" Louis asked.

"Nothing important my childhood dear", Lisa said with a laugh.

Lisa was noticing Tessa's every action that day because she wanted to know about that person who just disappeared when Tessa saw her, Lisa thought and whispered, " who was that person?"

"What are you up to today," Louis asked again but Lisa didn't tell him anything.

Soon Mr. Robert came in class for his lecture and Tessa stared at Lisa's face with a smirk. Lisa ignored her as she didn't even exist around her. Mr. Robert was done with his lecture and he was about to leave but Lisa saw something that made her totally shocked.

"What?", Did he just winked towards someone or what.

Lisa was still not sure about towards whose direction did he winked?..

She wanted to see whom he winked at but Louis told her to look outside the window, and Lisa didn't pay attention so Louis turned her face to the window.

" See it's snowing my friend", Louis said as turned his face towards her to see her reaction.

"woah!! it's so beautiful", Lisa said and thanked him after for letting her see that beautiful sight. Then she turned her gaze and saw that Mr. Robert was not there, nor could she see who he had looked at and winked.

"It's all because of you", Lisa said pointing at Louis who was busy in enjoying snow fall.

After few more lectures, school was over. They all went in their respective directions but Tessa was going in opposite directions on her bicycle and Lisa noticed that because yesterday she told her about where she lives.

She found that so weird.

She thought, " why am I thinking about her so much nowadays."

On their way back home, Lisa noticed her stepmother who was just coming out of a big hotel and looked so happy. But she was surprised to see that her stepmother was with a man of her age, holding each other's hand and laughing.

"How dare she cheat my dad with that man on his back, I actually thought that she loved my dad but I was wrong", Lisa expressed her anger through words.

As soon as possible, she called her dad and asked him if he could have few minutes with her in nearby cafe.

"Hello dad," Lisa greeted him.

"What's up Lisa", her dad asked her from the other side.

"Dad can you give me your five minutes please", Lisa requested him.

After straight 15 minutes her dad came in cafe where Lisa was waiting for him eagerly.

"Why you called me Lisa so urgently, that you even forgot to take off your uniform," dad asked her to get an answer but Lisa started asking him about her stepmother.

"Dad do you know about stepmother, what she's doing behind your back", Lisa started

"What happened," dad asked

"When I was coming back from school then I saw stepmother getting out of a big hotel with a man while holding hands, do you know about that", Lisa questioned him in the end.

Her dad took a long sigh and said "don't focus on such things Lisa", her dad stated to Lisa and left her in that cafe.

Lisa couldn't understand the situation but she guessed that her stepmother was actually cheating her dad with that man. Lisa didn't care about her stepmother but her dad because once he loved her that's why they are got married. But Lisa was not aware that her parents were hiding the truth about them from her.

Just to avoid the situation they told Lisa that they fell in love and got married.

Many strange thoughts were crossing Lisa's mind because of her dad. He actually didn't answered her and left without saying anything to defend or refuse her stepmother.

Soon she reached house alone because Louis needed to take his tuition classes in school on that day.

Her stepmother was sitting in living room on a couch while talking to someone.

"Whom are you talking with with that smiling face?" Lisa asked her stepmother in a loud voice.

She hung up the call and said " Do you want to know?"

She didn't notice that her dad was standing behind her, pointing at her stepmother not to say a word from her mouth." But Lisa was waiting for her to speak up.

" Say something, I'm not here to face your silence", Lisa was so angry at that time.

"Wait , let me guess, perhaps you were talking to that man from hotel, right?" Lisa stated without thinking twice before she speaks.

"Oh my dear daughter, better ask your dad about all that, and please don't waste my time", her stepmother said with a sarcastic tone.

"What the heck is going on in between you two?" Lisa was frustrated enough to even ask anything to her dad.

"Dad, why can't you give her divorce, she is not good for your love", Lisa said turning around to face her dad who was standing there dumbfounded.

"L O V E?" her stepmother said while laughing loudly.

Can you stop your drama?" her dad said to her stepmother.

Avoiding all the mess, Lisa went to her room and locked it.

Neither her dad nor stepmother made Lisa to get out off her room because if they did, it would be so bad for all of them.

Her dad took her stepmother in room with a tight grip on her wrist and locked the room.

"Why can't you keep your personal life away from my DAUGHTER?" huh?, her dad raised his voice a little so, that Lisa couldn't hear.

"WHY SHOULD I DO THAT, I'M NOT YOUR SLAVE OR ANYTHING AND DON'T RAISE YOU FUCKING VOICE ON ME, OTHERWISE IT WOULD TURN OUT TO BE SO BAD FOR YOU AND YOUR DAUGHTER", her stepmother stated so clearly to her dad.

Lisa was laying on her bed, and little sobs could be heard from her mouth.

But she heard her phone ringing and Louis was calling her.

She cleared her voice so that Louis could not know that she was crying.

"Hey Lisa", Louis greeted her.

Hey",

"Are you free right now", Louis asked

Why?"

"I wanted to go for basketball match with you",

Louis said in baby voice so that Lisa could agree to go with him.

"Sorry Louis, I can't make it today. I'm busy with something right now", Lisa said

"It's okay, but are you having cold because you sounds a little different",

"No , I'm fine. Okay bye," with that Lisa hung up and cried loudly.

She heard someone knocking on her door.

She got up from her bed and washed her face after that she opened her door to see who was there. Her dad was standing outside with ice cream in his hand.

"Sorry dad, but I'm not in mood to talk", she said and tried to lock the door but forcefully her dad entered in her room and sat on couch in her room.

"DAD, WHAT?"

"Nothing, come and eat your ice cream", her dad said with a big smile on his face which Lisa failed to see from so long.
