Chapter 13

Ryu opened his eyes as the sunlight shone over him, he groaned a little bit before standing up, "That was a comfortable sleep," he said as he stretched his body, he found a good inn yesterday and decided to stay there, the foods they serve is also delicious which gave them plus points.

Ryu walked over to the table and saw a bucket of water there, he then started washing his face, after washing his face, he went directly to the dining room.

"Good Morning, Ryu-san," a girl with blue hair and a very cute face greeted him.

"Good Morning to you too Ana," Ryu greeted her back, he met him yesterday as he was looking for an inn, and she pulled him towards theirs, they got to know each other well and last night they got along pretty well.

"Do you want to eat breakfast, it's very delicious," Ana gave him a smile.

"Sure," Ryu returned her a smile, Ana happily ran towards the kitchen, after seeing her figure vanish, Ryu turned, 'For now, I need to get information about this world, then after that, some way to earn more money, then look for the others' Ryu listed all of what he had to do.

A few moments later, Ana arrived carrying the breakfast, Ryu paid her and gave some tips before eating, it didn't take long for him to finish it, he then made his way to the counter where the owner, or the father of Ana was staying.

"Kenji-san, do you know any libraries here?" Ryu asked.

"Hmm, there are two, the academy and the public library," Kenji replied.

"Then the public one," Ryu said.

"It's near the adventurers guild, near the fountain on the plaza, though only adventurers could enter there, you said you were a hunter right?" Kenji asked.

"Yeah," Ryu replied.

"Then you could join the adventurers, they also earn money from hunting monsters, once you become an E rank you will have access to the library," Kenji said to him.

"Hmm, thank you Kenji-san, I'll be back later," Ryu waved at him and went towards the said Adventurers guild, it wasn't hard for him to look for it as he had the system map, also he was quite surprised to know there were adventurers guild in this world, now that he remembered, there were those guys who tried to rob him, it wasn't normal to see people to carry swords and staffs unless they have a profession connected to it.

After navigating his way through the streets, Ryu arrived in front of the Adventurers guild, it had a typical looks of a hub but slightly bigger, the most noticeable one was the emblem on top of the door, many people wearing armors and robes were going in and out of it, Ryu stepped inside and saw many people drinking and laughing happily inside, he looked around and saw what the register counter.

He moved towards it, not many were really paying attention to him, well, no one at all as the noise and the mood here is very happy, Ryu arrived in front of the reception and saw a man wearing glasses and had a black hair, he looked quite serious with his job, he had a tag name on his chest, 'Yugo' is what was written on it

"How may I help you?" asked Yugo.

"I would like to register as an adventurer," Ryu said.

"Then please fill in this form," Yugo handed him a paper, Ryu took the paper and started filling it up, it was actually very simple, it only asks for his name, age, gender, his purpose to join the guild, he could just write something heroic there, the rules were also written on it, after making sure everything was okay, Ryu handed it back to Yugo.

After Yugo finished reading it, he put it on a box and gave Ryu a badge with F rank on it, "Would you like me to explain the ranking system?" Yugo asked.

"Yes," Ryu said.

Yugo nodded and started explaining, "The ranking system of the guild is very simple, every new adventurers starts at the F rank, to rank up, they must clear a certain number of missions, you could find missions over the missions board over there," Yugo pointed on a whiteboard full of papers pinned on it.

Ryu nodded, Yugo then continued," Ranks are from F to SSS rank, the higher your rank the higher benefits you will get, right now, there are currently no SSS ranks in the guild, we also have many branches from other countries, so you don't have to worry when going to another country, that is all," Yugo said.

"Hmm, what is the rank of the highest right now?" Ryu asked.

"Right now, we only have an S rank which was the war princess of the Layard Kingdom from the country of Zorus, she is currently the strongest and the highest rank," Yugo said.

"That is all thank you for your time," Ryu said.

"Pleasure is mine," Yugo bowed to him.

Ryu nodded and made his way towards the mission board, there was a rank requirement for the missions and right now he was at the lowest rank, there were very few F ranks missions such as gathering herbal medicines, cleaning the public bathroom, delivering something, it was all odd jobs, he then looked up and saw the D ranks above missions.

Mostly to subjugate monsters, and other things, after thinking for a while, Ryu decided to take herb gathering on the forest, he just noticed but he could actually read this strange letters, well, probably work of the system, after picking up the request, he took it towards the mission reception, he told the mission he wanted to take and they kindly showed him the picture of the herb, it looks like a 5 leaf clover from his past world.

After that, Ryu left, he was in a rush to rank up and get access to the library.
