Chapter 10: Taking her sister’s place

That was when Fatima; Elvis present wife and the bride's mother remembered that she had seen someone who looks like Chin Cho, when she was looking for her daughter.

But she had shown no interest in the girl, but now maybe the girl could be of help.

"Elvis, I saw Chin Cho, come and force her to take her sister's place for the main time. We need her to save the situation now."

Chin Mae Elvis could not believe his ears; Chin Cho was in this wedding? What could have forced her to be here in this wedding.

While wondering these things in his mind, he followed his wife to where she had seen Chin Cho.

And he tapped Chin Cho on the shoulder.

Chin Cho turned slowly and saw her father. She looked at him without any expression.

"Can we talk in a quieter place Cho" her father said softly to her.

Chin Cho followed her father to a quieter place inside one of the empty rooms in the church.

Chin Mae Elvis was at lost on how to start the conversation. Father and daughter relationship was very soar. Elvis knew that Chin Cho doesn't like him and avoids him as much as she can.

This was not far-fetched; Elvis was not treating Chin Cho's mother very well, not because he did not want to, but because his present wife would not give him the chance to do so.

"my dear Cho, thanks goodness you are here, I …" Elvis was saying but was interrupted by the girl.

"Am only here because my mother coerced me into coming. Otherwise I would not be here for any reason."

"whichever way doesn't matter; what matters is that you are here." The man said, not wanting to be defeated by her daughter.

"Am sure that you are aware of what happened. Your sister has ran away, and the man is threatening to kill me, and he is not the type of man I could possible toy with. He is very deadly and as good as his words."

Chin Cho was very surprised to hear that, the friendly looking woman was about to tell her these things when her father called her out. So prior to this, she has not known what was wrong with everyone and everywhere.

She laughed at the thought of her sister bride running away.

So Chin Sun ran away? What could have made her to run away? She wants to marry a rich and powerful man, now it was time to marry him why did she run away.

She busted into another round of laughter.

She laughed until mist formed in her eyes, it was so amusing to her.

"What happened father." She managed to asked as she tried to cleanse the mist formed in her long eyelashes as a result of the laughter.

Elvis was very annoyed at Chin Cho, he could not understand what was so amusing about the whole thing. His life was under threat, but here was this silly girl laughing him to scorn. Was she laughing at him, the man or Chin Sun.?

He could not understand, he tried his best to control himself, this was not a time to show the girl anger, he must persuade her, coerce her, sweet-talk to her, deceive her, anything that would make her do this for him, he was willing to do it.

"Cho why your sister ran away, is a long story or perhaps a mystery."

"Well, there is nothing the man can do about it, let the wedding be postponed until Chin-Sun is found.

"then he can go to hell for all I care, I mean that is you people's business, it has nothing to do with me."

"it has a lot to do with you. You are my daughter, and my plight should be your plight. My problem should be your problem."

"so?" she asked quizzically.

"Good, I want you to take your sister's place for the main time…"

At that moment, Chin Fatima; the bride's mother stepped into the room "yes, until my daughter is found, the man would divorce you and then get a marriage certificate with my daughter." Fatima; Chin Sun's mother said as she interrupted her husband persuasively.

"Shut up woman, would you allow me to say something? We are talking of the time being and you are talking of nonsense." He roared at her.

Chin Cho was amused at the husband and wife, and laughed in her heart. 'this people must really think that I am stupid.

"Chin Cho I need you to follow me now, you need to take your sister's place."
