Miss Ghost meets Mister Shinigami

Sitting on the balcony from the presidential suite,  staring into the beautiful multicolored lights illuminating the streets and other high rise buildings.  Life can't be any sweeter… Unless you're me.

          This is my dream come true.  Being able to sleep and stay in a presidential suite of the infamous H hotel, I never knew what the word 'luxurious' means until I got to explore inside this suite.  The only hotel I have been to is at a love hotel, so I can't use those as material to compare this presidential suite. Also, I really wanted to laze around and to try ordering room service, but I can't.   

          I looked at the phone and stares at it for a long time trying to concentrate.   I reached out my hand trying to grab the receiver but alas, my hand went through again.  I sigh, being a ghost is not really fun when you can't do any of the paranormal stuff.

          I sigh again, looking at the scenery before me, I reminisce what happened a few weeks ago.  Let's start with my name. My name is Colliet Aura Morcabbo, I am... Was, a regular lady working at a call center.  I worked graveyard shifts and most of my pay I send to my parents to help with their expenses.  But that doesn't mean I don't go out for drinks to relieve stress.

           It was the exact reason that caused my life.  We were at my teammate's acquaintance's house drinking.  I remembered that the drinks that we bought isn't that high in alcohol content but at that time I was so wasted I can't keep my eyes open.  I even puked my guts out to sober myself a little but still, my head hurts and can't see straight.  

          We decided to stay over since the majority of us were wasted.  I closed my eyes to sleep, and before I knew it I was dreaming that I was staring at myself.  My face was so pale, I can mistake myself as a corpse.  

          While I was staring at my face, I can hear someone moaning.  Looking around, I saw a light coming from the bathroom. Curious who it was, I slowly crept towards the bathroom.  

          I took a little peek and saw that it was my teammate, Fred.  His pants were pulled down and were laying on his feet and I can see his butt moving…  Humping someone. I can't see clearly who the girl was, I tried to adjust my position to get a clear look but I lost my footing and fell down.  

           Thinking that once I bang my forehead I will wake up, I didn't bother protecting my face.  What happened next confused me. I went through the door and lay sprawled on the bathroom floor.  Looking up, I saw the girl or to be more accurate the she-male he was humping. It was the owner of the house, the old gay dude that Fred introduced to us!

          I haven't even recovered from the shock when I heard someone scream my name!  I thought I would finally wake up from this weird dream, but then I saw that the pair who was enjoying themselves was startled.  They quickly put on and adjusted their clothes. I wondered if the dream is still continuing instead of me waking up?

          Fred was the first one to leave, then a little over a minute his partner also went out.  I followed them out still confused about what was happening. I saw my other teammates huddled at the spot where I slept earlier.  I saw someone talking on her phone all frantic.  

          Our Team Leader, Nick, was kneeling down and I can see him doing CPR on someone.  I was scared as well, I don't know who Nick was giving CPR to but this is a really scary thing when someone you know might actually die.  The ambulance came and they moved over to give the paramedics some space so they can do their job. That was when I saw who was being resuscitated.   

          I can't believe that I am seeing myself being resuscitated and not responding.  I tried to grab one of my teammates but my hand just went past her. I was so scared and confused I tried calling out to Nick.  But he didn't look my way… No one even paid any attention to me.  

          I saw them put my body on the stretcher and boarded me to the ambulance.  I followed them and I saw myself being sent to the ER.

          I stayed outside, I don't think I can bear to see myself being hooked with different devices and apparatus on my body just to save me.  I have this feeling of dread seeing on what is happening to me right now. Then I saw my parents came to the hospital. 

          "Mama!"  I ran to my mom to hug her but just like what happened earlier, I just went through them.  I just stood in the hallway, not ready or more like can't accept what is happening to me.

          I looked behind me and saw they went directly to Nick.  They were talking with Nick trying to figure out what happened.  Then the door from the ER opened. The doctor looked at them. "Who is a relative of the deceased?"  The doctor asked.

          My parents immediately walked over to the doctor.  While I was stuck rooted in my place. It was like there was a loud sound exploded inside my head!  Deceased!? Deceased! Aren't they talking about someone else?! It's impossible for me to die! I'm only 23 years old!  I may not be a virgin, but still! I want to experience falling in love, getting married and travel all over the world!

          It's impossible!  I'm really dead?! I looked at my parents and saw my mom leaning on my dad, she was wailing because of something that the doctor said.  Even during the chaos going on inside my head, I heard the doctor said something about poisoning?  

          Poisoning?!  Is there really such a thing?  Who would poison me? I get along well with my team members and we rarely have disputes.  So how come I got poisoned?

          Then I heard my dad calling my mom's name…  My mom can't take it anymore that she fainted.  Seeing my mom unconscious… It broke my heart, I'm close to my mom and seeing her like that I just can't bear it, so I fled.  I left the hospital and never looked back.

          I stopped reminiscing about what happened to me.  I racked my brains but still can't figure out how I got poisoned.  I don't even consider alcohol poisoning because like I remembered we only have 2 pieces of 1 Liter bottles of Empi brandy and there are like 8 of us, including the owner of the place, so it's impossible to get alcohol poisoning from that.  

          The food…?  Well, we ordered take out and we were all there when the food came, so it's impossible to have food poisoning and anyone putting something in our food.  So, it's a mystery to me how and why I was the only one who got poisoned and the rest are okay.
