Chapter 24: The Human Imperfections

After Hiroki did some side quest around the ninja world, he decided to travel to another world and see new places since it was the law for any Otakus who can travel to different worlds even though Hiroki was reclusive in entering a random world he didn't know.

Using a new key he fused after grinding the Ender Dragon, he basically opened a new world, afraid of going to the first world since he basically release the Final Boss in a different planet altogether.

When entering the world, he felt calm after seeing that the place was in a modern world and decided to change his gear to suit the place he was in. The ninja clothes might oddly fit and believe it to be a cosplay but he didn't want to stand out and decided to wear the a black T-shirt with no print and cargo pants since they are comfortable to wear. Partnered with sneakers just in case he cause trouble and he can run fast before cops arrived.

Looking around, he sense that there was something amiss and right as he was about to randomly walk forward, he heard a loud scream and turn to a direction to which he found out that he was near in a school and decided to check it out.

Having been used to traveling around the Naruto world where their physical bodies are superior to a normal person in a Modern world, Hiroki easily arrive where the sound came from and saw that a small group of people where trying to help a man who had his arm bitten off and...

"Zombie? So I'm in a world where the Zombie Apocalpse had just started..." He was surprised since he, who he thought landed in a modern world, turns out that this was just a transitioning phase of an Apocalypse.

Moving towards them, the man who was screaming earlier had fallen unconscious as a woman tried get close to the man.

But once she got too close, the man suddenly wake up and was about to grab the woman through her nearly exposed chest...

*Bang*

"Kyaa!"

"Woah!"

"What the!"

The Group were quickly thrown back in fear after seeing one of their fellow teachers was shot and turn their direction to where the gunshot was coming from.

*Bang*

Hiroki shot again and hit the zombie that was gnawing at the gate which was hit by the head just like the other zombie.

"W-what the hell are you doing?!" A teacher angrily scolds Hiroki who look like a young kid as he pointed at the gun he was holding and realizes what he was saying, knowing that Hiroki had a gun in his hand.

"Killing zombies. Why do you ask?" Hiroki Nonchalantly replied as if stating the obvious.

"Kid. Do you realize what you've done? You just murdered two people in cold blood!" Another teacher joins in at scolding Hiroki, truly horrified that this kid just killed people like it was nothing.

"Duh. I was cleaning corpses and they are basically dead the moment that guy was infected through a bite. Seriously guys, try to understand that the Apocalypse just started." Hiroki sighs and was just not good at conversations. He wanted to clearly explain about zombies and stuff but he knows that these people don't understand him and though that the zombies he killed were real people.

"Y-young man! Just let go of the gun and we'll try to lessen your sentence in the court." Kyoko tried to reason with a kid as she was trying to be careful of Hiroki who held a weapon and be the good adult in this situation.

"Lessen my sentence...Lady, the walking dead just started and chaos is in the streets! Do you think the authorities are just gonna come and settle the situation?! They are probably too busy trying to secure safe areas and blocking off infected streets right about now." Hiroki yelled as he pulled another gun to his hand as he started shooting through the gates as more zombies began to enter the school.

Fortunately, the gate was closed and manage to hold the zombies back but knowing that the metal gate won't hold on for long, Hiroki decided to yell at the adults to act.

"Hurry up and prepare to evacuate the school! This place won't last long if you just stood there and become like them. Tell everyone that they need to get into cars or buses and drive away from here." Hiroki didn't know how to lead people since he usually acts alone and was never a team player. Having the heart to save lives despite the cruel nature of Humanity, he wanted to at least tell them to escape but didn't know what to do in the situation since he was clueless in this world after arriving here.

While he knows how to survive in an apocalypse, he didn't know about anything else as the people just stood there, unmoving, not wanting to listen to a kid talk back at them.

"Hurry Up!" Seeing how humans think dumb, he decided to use force on them to move as they were terrified of the gun pointed at them and run into the school.

Hiroki was mentally tired, he felt like this was something he isn't used to do since all he does is let people talk to him and just responded.

He wanted to at least save lives but seeing how humanity continue to act dumb despite the dangers, he didn't know what to do in this situation as he was clueless about what to do in this world.

'Should I just return back? This apocalypse thing stinks since the moment I arrived, all I've been doing is just a mental task of communicating with people when all I want to do is just have fun in this world.' He slowly felt like he was going back on his old life, running into problems, helping people, getting into trouble and the cycle continues.

It isn't that Hiroki being a saint, it was the teachings of his mother that made him be a helpful person to anyone.

She taught him that helping people was something to be proud off and when necessary, always make someone happy in their darkest moments. Be a hero that you once dreamed as a kid.

Not to be a beacon of hope, nor a person to stick by the law and deliver the proper justice.

It is to do what is right and what actions that can save lives.

Humans are a mistake yet at the same time a perfect being.

Because they are imperfect, they will never understand that they are perfect being due to inifine possibilities they don't understand.

A man who makes medicine to heal, leading to the path of doctors and the search for immortality.

A man who creates weapons to hunt, now capable of building weapons of mass destruction.

All of those came from the imperfection of humanity. Without mistakes, nothing is made.

Everyone is, as with Hiroki.

Getting depressed, he decided to leave these people and jumped through the wall with ease, taking out a sword and hacking every zombie that comes his face.

He doesn't want to be with people, knowing that they will ruin his fun. He wants adventure, have fun and do what he wants since he was free from responsibilities and didn't want to be chained by obligations in his past life.

The more he was alone, the more insane he gets but he didn't mind since he wasn't right to begin with.

Being alone in his past life, he got used to the isolation of life, not having friends, people often ignore you and when they notice you, they only want you to be ordered. He felt he had no freedom and was chained just to exist being someone's punching pag.

Knowing this, he didn't want to stick to this place anymore and left, traveling where the world takes him.

Not knowing that he was changing the world with his actions...

Walking around the street, he would meet zombies left and right, hacking everything without care as he collected bodies to see if they can still be saved.

When he saw some thugs doing crazy things, he wouldn't hesitate to execute them since sometimes being a murderer is better than more innocent lives lost.

Killing zombies, saving lives, even feeding a hungry pet he would pass by, this made Hiroki remember the good things he did in his past life.

He wasn't rich, he often gets hungry but seeing how the smiles people he had helped, brought the warm feeling in the darkness of the world through the good deeds he did.

The world which was supposed to go to a grim end, met a savior who passes by, doing the hobby he once had in his past life...
