Chapter 15: All For One Call!

In the corner of Izuku's mind he felt two more people enter the radius of his mind, as Mineta and Asui came running out of the ruins zone, and Izuku felt pure rage flow through him as he listened to these new thoughts.

-This is the best, Asui hasn't made me stop holding her. Maybe if I help save her life she'd let me..- Then Izuku saw some mental images that put Shigaraki to shame.

Izuku lost it. "Shigaraki, do you care if I kill one of the kids?"

He was answered with a vicious grin, "I never thought you'd ask. Go for it kid, get your hands dirty for once, I'll have the nomu make sure the mini boss doesn't get in your way if he gets past our mob."

Izuku walked towards the two of them with his handgun pointed directly at the boy's head "MINETA, GET YOUR HANDS OFF HER AND WIPE THOSE THOUGHTS FROM YOUR MIND."

Both students froze. Izuku was now standing about 15 feet from them and Asui got into a defensive position half in front of Mineta.

"Asui, I'll have to ask you to move, because I doubt you'd protect him if you knew what he wanted to do to you. My quirk is mind-reading, and that boy is more of a monster than just about anyone here."

Asui started to look back at Mineta "Please tell me he's lying -ribbit-" Silence "Mineta, we're in a fight for our lives, and you still can only think about sex?"

"Oh, you really do think that the stuff he says out loud is the worst of it. This little monster is far far more malicious than that. Do you want me to tell you what he actually wants to use his quirk for? I'll give you a hint, it's not hero work, and his thoughts include just about every lady in your class"

Mineta couldn't get a single word out -Is this how I die-

"Mineta, tell me he's lying, I know you're a perv, but tell me it's not that bad -ribbit-."

"Yes Mineta, please answer the question, and if you lie, I'll kill you." Izuku stated it as a simple fact.

Barely above a whisper, so Asui could barely hear, with regret and shame filling his words for the first time "He's not lying."

"I think the lady deserves a better answer than that. Tell her what you want"

Mineta started sobbing between his words "I.. wanted… to…-"

Asui stood up and walked away toward the exit, "That's enough -ribbit- I don't want you to die, but I won't take a bullet for you -ribbit-."

There were more students trickling out of their respective battles, so quite a few of them got to watch this exchange with horror.

"I want you all to think long and hard about what kind of heroes you want in the world, because I wouldn't let this creep into one of my crews, but you let him into yours."

At this point Izuku had pulled Mineta closer and had his gun to the back of his head. Then the front door exploded open as All Might appeared. "HAVE NO FEAR STUDENTS, FOR I AM HERE!"

Izuku was glad they would have this chance to deal with him after all. But as he saw All Might start to move in his direction, quickly dispatching the enemies in his path, he knew he had to make a decision about the boy on the other end of his gun.

He'd killed before, just never directly. It was all information and strategies, but on the other hand those people never really deserved it.

They were such sacrifices made in order to gain respect and power. So why did he hesitate when this kid was a monster and wanted to be a hero of all things.

All Might had just saved Aizawa and turned his attention to Izuku.

All Might raised a fist, ready to launch it towards him, and Izuku did the worst thing he could in the face of such a terrifying force. He flinched. That simple unintended action caused blood to fly across the floor along with a small body.

"NOOOO" All Might came rushing towards Izuku but was stopped by the Nomu who wanted nothing more than to follow orders and to destroy his enemy.

"Good work brat, you finally had your first time, we'll have to have a party when we get back."

Izuku slowly walked back to where Shigaraki stood while the Nomu and All Might fought. Izuku felt so lost in his own mind as he tried to process what he'd done.

Izuku couldn't get himself to focus on what was going on around him. He was only vaguely aware of the forceful winds pushing him back and Nomu getting launched into the air.

After hearing a few gunshots ring out Izuku felt himself wrapped in a familiar black mist that carried him away.

For the first time Izuku hated his quirks. He knew he could never get rid of these memories, no matter how long he lived or what happened, those moments would always be perfectly preserved in his mind.

He'd never be able to forget Mineta's last thoughts. Thoughts of fear replaced by hope when All Might showed up. He died thinking he would be saved. Izuku didn't know if that was better or worse.

Izuku just stared at the wall for hours. Then hours started to look like days. He couldn't bring himself to do anything other than the bare necessity to survive.

He knew the others kept trying to talk to him, but he couldn't get out of his own head enough to hold a conversation. He couldn't escape those perfectly preserved memories.

"Sensei wants to talk with you."

"Oh, ok."

Izuku numby walked through the portal in front of him, now standing before his master.

"I have tried to be patient, but it would seem that you need a reminder of your own convictions."

"What?"
