Chapter 4: Abilities (Rewritten)

{Training Area}

"Here's the data. This is the list of what you can do with your newly attained power," Dr. Alex said.

"Thanks", Shiro said as he bow toward Dr. Alex

'I don't actually need this as I have my A.I. Chip to scan my entire body. It also got upgraded, by the way,' Shiro thought as he look at the data that Dr. Alex gave.

'Well, the A.I. Chip seems more connected to my entire body now, not just in my brain,' Shiro thought.

"Oh, I see. But let me just leave this here. Well then, I'll tell you everything about Hydra and my purpose for giving you this power tomorrow. Make sure you get a hang of your power by the time I talk to you," Dr. Alex said as he was about to leave the training area.

"Alright, have a good night's rest, Dr. Alex. I'll be sure to listen to your every bit of the story," Shiro replied.

"Okay, oh, and also I forgot to mention in the data about your weakness. Your major weakness is electricity. Be careful and run if possible when you meet someone who can control lightning. Also, try not to get drunk with this power," Dr. Alex warned Shiro before he left the room.

"Put on some clothes too. Do not flex your improved muscles in front of me," Dr. Alex added.

"Okay, I'll be extra careful," Shiro replied, looking at Dr. Alex as he slowly faded into the dark. Strings of red and black goo started wrapping around his body, forming a black jacket to cover his bare upper body.

{Shiro's POV}

'Okay, A.I. Chip, since you've also been upgraded, tell me what you can do.'

[Roger]

Well, the A.I. Chip is now capable of speaking. Initially, I created it to have a voice, but I disabled that function due to concerns that constant warnings and alerts during the integration process could become annoying and cause unnecessary stress throughout my life.

'Make a list of your new features.'

[1. Appraisal – With the help of the Master's ability of Thermal Vision and Incredible sense, I will be able to scan another person's entire body, including its internal structure.]

'Wow, I didn't expect that. Also, the A.I. Chip called me Master now.'

[2. Firewall – Helps protect the Master's mind from losing consciousness caused by going berserk, hypnosis, or other mind control abilities.]

"I'm glad I have my A.I. Chip. Now, with this, I won't be scared of Loki or Professor X anymore," Shiro said with a calm demeanor.

[That's all, Master.]

'Good, thank you, A.I. Chip,' Shiro replied.

'For now, I will call you Ciel. That's an order,' Shiro commanded.

[Updating]

[I will now be called Ciel.]

'Good. Well, search all the abilities of Alex Mercer from the game I used to play and make a list of all the possible abilities I could have.'

[Roger]

[1. Superhuman Physique – The Master's punch could make the ground shatter and be fast enough to outrun cars. The Master will also never get tired.]

[2. Insane Regeneration – The Master will never die unless turned into dust.]

[3. Ageless]

[4. Thermal Vision – Allows Master to see through darkness and see people through walls via infrared.]

[5. Incredible Senses – Enhanced Hearing and Vision]

[6. High Resistance – Resistant to Hot/Cold Temperatures, Radar and Sonar Immunity, and Immune to Diseases and Poisons.]

[7. Consumption and Disguise – Upon Consuming, the Master can access the memories of the victims, copy their DNA, and Disguise the entire body, including the voice, into anyone the Master consumes.]

[8. Shapeshifting – Allows the Master to create weapons using both hands by manipulating the Master's biomass]

[Current Weapon: Claw]

[9. Weakness – Electricity]

Looking at the information that Ciel provided me, there's only one word that escapes my mouth.

"WOW!" I am amazed at the amount of abilities I have.

But Shiro quickly frowned at the last piece of information he saw.

"So I should be careful not to provoke those people who have lightning abilities."

For now, I should get familiar with my abilities before doing anything that could cause harm.

Red and black strings of goo suddenly appeared in both of Shiro's hands, manipulating his biomass. Shiro's hands slowly turned into claws.

Standing in the middle of the training area, Shiro closed his eyes as he began to feel his surroundings.

"Both my hearing and my sense of smell have been enhanced."

'Ciel, scan this wall. What kind of metal is it made of?'

[It is a metal unique to this world, and none of it exists on the previous Earth.]

'I see, that's probably adamantium or vibranium, the strongest metals in Midgard.'

'Well, let's see if I can make deep claw marks here,' Shiro thought.

Shiro slashed at the wall, causing the entire training area to shake with the incredible strength displayed by his claws. His strike left a deep claw mark, demonstrating the power of his claws to etch into one of the possibly strongest metals on Earth or maybe not.

Shiro tried all sorts of abilities he could only use inside this training area until the morning sun caught up to him without him even realizing it.

He only came to know what time it was when the alarm of Dr. Alex's watch rang, where he left it on the table.

"I got too excited. This training area is almost destroyed. I guess I should look for Dr. Alex now," Shiro said as he left the ruined training area to find Dr. Alex.
