Jiang Yue turned her head towards Xia Mingzhou and a smirk slowly plastered in her lips, "Ah, no need. You have your debt but it's not money, I'll take my time collecting it."
Xia Mingzhou's hand underneath the table clenched, her long nails digging into her palm.
She looked at her cousin's menacing eyes then it felt as if a cold bucket of water had poured over her.
'Did she know I was the one who inflicted those bruises on Jiang Xiu?'
Then her brows furrowed as she thought deeply about it.
'...But there isn't a need for her to wear a cast for those bruises though.'
"Mother, just pay back Cousin already. It was you who is at fault with this matter." Xia Mingyu couldn't keep quiet anymore and commented.
Feng Rong's face darkened.
Of course, she could give back the money, the problem was it is a big amount.

Xia Zhong frowned but then he kept quiet.
He was doubtful about this fact also.
Jiang Yue laughed lightly, "Not only did you steal the money but now you're defaming me. If you don't want to settle this peacefully then we can settle this in the worst way possible. Your choice."
"Are you threatening me, Jiang Yue?" Feng Rong's grin slowly went down when she realized the girl wasn't saying empty words.
She could feel that if she won't agree with the girl's terms, chaos would happen.
"Are you threatened?" Jiang Yue asked back.
"I do not care if you see me as an outsider and do not treat me as a family, but what I could not accept is Xiao Xiu is being treated badly." She started with her tone of voice filled with malice.
The room was once again quiet.
Xia Mingyu wanted to rebuke what she just said but in the end, he kept quiet. He can't deny that his mother indeed sees his cousin as an outsider and stole his cousin's money.
"Give the money back. Just settle this immediately, I don't want to hear another word about this matter." The Old Patriarch stated, afraid that a word of this might get out if not handled carefully.
That would be detrimental to their reputation.
Feng Rong pursed her lips but then nodded.
She grabbed her phone and not long after, Jiang Yue felt her phone vibrate. There was a notification from Alipay regarding the million yuan.
"Auntie Rong is still sensible." Jiang Yue commented with a smile on her face, but everyone who sees it knows it was filled with ridicule.
