"Sir our request to move the date has been approved," Luke, Jacob's assistant reported.
"Good, make sure to keep in touch with the shareholders. Don't let them change their mind," Jacob said then ended the call.
His lips curved into a smile. The time he was waiting for was finally near. All of the sacrifices he had made in the past were finally going to pay off.
Jacob brought out his wallet and pulled out an old picture.
It was him and Sabrina.
"I hope I'm not too late yet," he said. He stood up to grab his keys and left the hotel immediately.
Jacob boarded his car and drove to Beverly Hills Gateway. He parked his car a bit far from the gate as he was planning to wait for Sabrina to go out of the neighbourhood.
"I want to eat out. We've been stuck here for weeks now, I want to see the outside world," Kenzie said as she stretched her arms out.
"Sure! I'll take you to a good steak restaurant," Sabrina stood up excitedly.
Both women grabbed their coats and left the house. As soon as they boarded the car, Sabrina brought her phone out to text Alexander.
To: Bossy Alexander Grande
'Going to eat out with Kenzie. Don't skip meals <3'
"You really think you can drive now?" Kenzie asked Sabrina worriedly.
"My arm is already healed okay? It won't be a problem so just sit back and enjoy the ride with me okay?" Sabrina assured Kenzie with a smile. She started the engine and drove off.
Noticing a car coming out of the gate, Jacob narrowed his eyes to see who the people inside the car were.
Realizing that it was Sabrina, Jacob started his car immediately and tailed them until they reached their destination.
"I'll order for us," Sabrina said as she received the menu from the waiter.
"This place looks so cool! How did you find this?" Kenzie asked while she turned her head around to appreciate the look of the restaurant.
"Alex introduced this place to me," Sabrina answered.
"Oh right! The picture you posted on instagram!" Kenzie exclaimed when she remembered.
Sabrina ordered food for the both of them and happily chatted with each other while eating.
Jacob on the other hand, sat somewhere near them and was just waiting for the right timing to talk to Sabrina. Alexander wasn't around right now and he wanted to take advantage of it.
"This is one of the best meals I have ever had in my entire life," Kenzie said while she rubbed her stomach.
"I'm glad that you liked it," Sabrina smiled. She raised her hand to call for the waiter to settle the bill.
"Your bill has been paid already Ma'am," the waiter said.
Kenzie and Sabrina exchanged confused looks, "Who paid it?" Sabrina asked the waiter.
"I don't know Ma'am, but he told me to give this to you," the waiter pulled out a piece of paper from his pocket and handed it to Sabrina.
'Meet me at the bay if you want to pay me back'
"Who could it be?" Kenzie asked Sabrina.
"I don't know either, his name is not written here," Sabrina said. She handed the paper to Kenzie for her to look.
"This man for sure wants to hit on you," Kenzie chuckled upon reading the content of the paper.
"Let's go, we don't want to be indebted to a stranger," Sabrina grabbed her keys and left the restaurant with Kenzie.
Arriving at the bay, "You can stay here, I won't be long," she told Kenzie.
"Nope, not a chance. I'm coming with you," Kenzie said. She removed her seatbelt and stepped out of the car, "I can't let you go alone," she said.
Sabrina didn't protest. She just grabbed her keys and wallet and then locked the car.
"Okay, how are we going to find him now?" Kenzie asked as they strolled along the bay, "Are we supposed to magically recognize him?" she added.
Right at that time, a familiar voice spoke behind them.
"Sabrina," the man said.
Both Sabrina and Kenzie halted their steps to turn around and they both had an expression of shock upon seeing who the person was.
"Jacob," Sabrina said.
"Can we talk?" Jacob asked, "Alone?" he added.
"I don't think there's anything for us to talk about," Sabrina said. She turned around to leave but Jacob held her wrist.
"Please?" he pleaded.
"Did you not hear what she said?" Kenzie raised her brow on Jacob.
"Just this once, let's talk. I promise I won't bother you anymore after," Jacob said.
"Kenzie, wait for me in the car," Sabrina said.
"But…"
"I won't be long," Sabrina assured her.
Kenzie glared at Jacob and did an 'I'm watching you' gesture on him before she left the two of them.
"What do you want to talk about?" Sabrina asked but Jacob suddenly hugged her.
"I missed you so much," Jacob said.
Sabrina forced herself out of the hug and slapped Jacob strongly in the face.
"I've had enough of this Jacob," she said in gritted teeth, "If you're not here to talk, then I'm leaving," Sabrina said but Jacob stopped her once again.
"I'm sorry, I just couldn't contain myself," he explained, "Let's drop by a café to talk okay?," he said.
Sabrina sighed, "This better be the last time Jacob," she pointed at him.
Inside the car, Kenzie brought her phone out to text Alexander. Before he left, he instructed Kenzie to report everything about Sabrina while he was away, EVERYTHING and Kenzie didn't trust Jacob.
After what he had done to her from before, she developed a strong hatred towards him.
"Hello boss?" Kenzie spoke.
"Where are they?" Alexander asked through the phone.
"We're currently at the bay, but I'm inside the car and Sabrina is outside, talking to Mr. Jacob," Kenzie reported.
"Keep an eye on them, I'll send Brandon there," Alexander said then ended the call.
"Is it right that I reported it?" Kenzie bit her nails, "What if Sabrina and Mr. Grande quarrel because of this?" she said.
