Chapter 57: Full Of Love

Private Ward.

"What does he think he is, huh? Leaving whenever he wants! For god sake, I'm a patient here. I saved his life too, can't he be a little more grateful?" Soo Min frowned and turned to look the food on the table, that was nowhere near her reach.

"At least he should have kept it a little closer." Soo Min pouted.

She slowly uncovered the blanket and pulled her feet to the edge of the bed and tried to get down with the support of the IV stand.

Struggling, she slowly tried to place her feet down.

BAM!

The ward door was slammed open causing a loud noise and grabbing Soo Min's attention. When she looked up, she saw a sweaty man panting and looking like someone who just ran a hundred mile marathon.

Yet, even in all that sweat, Ryan still looked so flawless and those blue eyes of his glowed in an alluring way.

Knowing that he might lecture her, Soo Min quickly began to make an excuse. "I wasn't trying to get down or anything, I was just—"

Even before she could complete her excuse, Ryan strode forward and swiftly wrapped his hands around her, and hugged her tight.

Everything happened so fast, Soo Min didn't have any time to react. All she could smell was his scent that enveloped her completely.

While her brain instructed her to push him away, her heart was reluctant to part with this unusual yet comforting warmth, that seemed to take away all her worries at an instant. Soon her brain and heart were on the same page.

'It's just a hug. Even friends hug each other.' Soo Min mused.

Her body started to move on it's own accord and her hands slowly wrapped around his back. Ryan's grip only tightened around her, but not to the extent that it would hurt her.

The two were lost in each other's company, so much that they didn't even hear the door open nor the footsteps that followed.

The three other people in the room looked at the cute couple in front of them, and smiled.

Even they could see just how much the two of them loved each other, yet those two fools were blinded by their ego and the stupid competition between them.

"Ahem." Father Park abruptly coughed to make their presence known to the two lost souls.

Soo Min looked up at the three grinning faces looking back at her and widened her eyes, before patting Ryan's shoulder continuously until he finally freed her from his hug.

He felt somewhat annoyed by their intrusion but again this feeling was inexplicable. Instead of going and standing with the rest of them, Ryan swiftly swept Soo Min off her feet, making her squeal.

He carried her to the bed, before gently placing her back down and covering her with the blanket.

Soo Min glared at him, annoyed at his nonchalant attitude. 'He does all kinds of things like this without any sense of shame and her my heart keeps having to go through these rollercoaster of emotions?'

Mother Song and Assistant Yoon stood there, mouth agape. Both of them knew just what kind of cold man Ryan was. They've been with him for so many years, but even they were yet to experience such warmth from this man.

"Soo Min. How are you, my child?" Father Park asked in a tender tone.

"Come on dad. You can't be talking so emotionally, it feels weird." Soo Min giggled. "Besides, look at me. I'm doing great. See."

She started moving both her hands in all directions to prove her point, but it backfired on her when she felt a sharp pain in her shoulder and winced.

"Soo Min. You idiot." Ryan scolded.

Soo Min frowned back at him. Mother Song slapped her son's shoulder. "Be nice, will you? Dear, I'm so sorry for son's behavior. He must be hit in the head somewhere. One minute he acts nice and the next he acts like a moron."

Ryan frowned at his mother's taunts while Soo Min snorted.

Walking towards Soo Min, Mother Song gently placed her hand in hers and said, "But I must thank you, dear. You saved my son's life without worrying about yourself. Only an angel could do something so selfless."

Soo Min smiled back warmly at Mother Song. A small, soft smile formed on Ryan's lips.
