Chapter 102: Attraction

…..

Giggles erupt amidst the sound of rain droplets, hitting the ground.

Ryan groans when Soo Min tries to pull away. His fingers spreading across her nape, kissing her with feverish control. Like she's his only source of oxygen.

Soo Min's helpless but still tries to fight. She puts her hands on his chest to push him away, causing him to part with her unwillingly and only because he could feel like desperation.

Still, Ryan tugs her to his side by a firm grip on her hips, making them face the mini audience.

Two little girls chuckle at the sight in front of them.

Soo Min's face felt like a sauna as she realized the earlier show that happened in front of the little kids.

'Is it too late to dissolve into nothing?' Soo Min mused.

Grabbing Ryan's hand, Soo Min turns on her heel and breaks into a sprint.

Ryan watched her for a beat as the two of them ran in the pouring rain hand in hand. While he was pissed off by the fact that they were interrupted, he found her flustered face adorable and let her pull him away to wherever she was taking him.

Truth be told, he didn't give a damn if they ran to the ends of the earth together. As long as she was there, he would follow her anywhere.

He opens his eyes and stares down at her petite face that's all soaked. her petite face that's all soaked. Droplets of water slip across her cheeks and to her neck. Her white dress had become transparent, molding against her strapless bra.

He makes a mental note to give her his hoodie before they return because no way in hell is he going to let anyone else see her like this.

"I think we're safe for now." Soo Min breathes out, slapping both palms on her knees. Taking slow deep breathes to calm her rapid heart.

"Yeah. Safe from little kids. Dangerous." Ryan said with unveiled amusement.

"Hey! You know that's not what I mean. And… this is all your fault." Soo Min glares at him, crossing her arms over her chest.

"My fault?" He asked with a raised eyebrow.

"Yes! If it wasn't for you we wouldn't have done that… that thing." Soo Min croaks, changing tactics. "And those kids wouldn't have seen it."

A sudden chill trickles down her spine, but she doesn't get the chance to look up. Not even having the chance to move.

A larger-than-life presence appears by her side. Soo Min hated the warmth that accompanies the woodsy and amber scent.

"First of all, the 'thing' you're referring to is called a kiss. Something that requires two people to take part in. And…" Ryan voice drops to a dangerous rumble, as he invades her space. "Second, I clearly remember someone moaning into my mouth, desperately holding on to me while I sucked her tongue. Do you perhaps need a little reminder?"

Soo Min's cheeks heat up, knowing that he'll act on his words.

"Know this. The more you try to deny your pleasure with me, the harder I'll wrench it out of you. I have a million ways to prove that you're mine. In every sense of the word."

There it is. Possessiveness. Every once in a while, it seeps through him hinting at the violent monster he keeps in check. The need to stake his claim on her so nobody else well. The desire to tie her up, hide her from the world, never let her escape. Because in this life, there will be none of that.

Every time she thinks he's different, the monster inside him proves her wrong. This man might as well be her damnation.

"Whatever." Soo Min rolls her eyes. So what if she's attracted to him, not that she'd ever tell him that. Besides, it's superficial and not her fault this man has the body of a greek god-no an evil prince seems more befitting given his nature. But attraction and love are not the same. And in this life, she won't fall in love with a devil.

Or so she thinks.

"Don't do that." Ryan narrows his eyes. His tone disapproving.

"Do what?"

"Rolling your eyes."

"Last time I checked, they're my eyes. So I'll do whatever the hell I want, thank you very much." Soo Min enunciates.

"Careful, sweetheart. Wouldn't want that mouth of yours get you into trouble."

Soo Min didn't miss the way his jaw clenched with every word he spoke.

An engine revs behind her and she steps to the side, giving way to the car. But it swerves in front of me and she yelps as it comes to a sudden halt.

Its a bright red Aston Martin that appears to be a custom - something that her brothers would totally want as a part of their motor collection.

The driver's door flings open and a man who appears to be a bodyguard steps out with an umbrella, walking in their direction before handing the keys to Ryan.

"Get in the car." Ryan orders with complete assurance.

"This is yours?" Soo Min asks, a little surprised. Its not that Ryan lacks of wealth, he could easy buy ten Aston Martins but he didn't seem like the kind to take interest in sports car. He seemed more like the rolls royce kind of guy. And for the record he did have that car.

Most of his cars gave off old money and classy mature vibes. So to see this car was indeed a surprise. Refreshing, in fact.

"Ours, baby." He corrected.
