Chapter 55. Prescot's and Their Ego
Less than an hour later, the BAC test result for Evan Prescott is in Rayleigh's hands. The test result shows a BAC of 0.03%, and Rayleigh takes a deep breath. This explains the alcohol smell her fiancée told her about, as well as Evan's aggressive behavior.
He's not yet dangerously drunk, but he is definitely under the influence. That is not acceptable for a hospital employee, especially an intern. Rayleigh stares at Isabelle, who is sleeping soundly after the incident. They are snuggled together on the sofa in Rayleigh's office, and Isabelle fell asleep not long after.
"Did you give her any relaxation medicine?" Martha whispers as she presents Rayleigh with the test results.
"No, just a chamomile tea," Rayleigh replies. "Her heartbeat was abnormal for a while before; she was scared. She just didn't want me to know."
