CHAPTER 45

I'm yet to finish go without me," He held the door in case anyone tried to open. He was scared not because anyone would bully him, because he felt being around to many kids would make him sick. And he was also popular in school not only because of his handsome features; his dad was rich and also invested in the school.

 "You said that last time and never came." Ken complained knocking the door smoothly; he still wondered how he became friends with this scam bag.

 "Lewis" that one voice called him and his heart jolted opening the door instantly. He was already dressed but being a coward he was he hid in the bathroom.

 A young sickly lady sat on a wheelchair, she looked so pale you would think all colour in her body was rubbed off. Her skinny long finger were raised and placed on the stubborn boy's warm cheek. He could feel how her small hands were cold and he took his mom's hands and coved them with his small one trying to warm her brings her to tears.

 The nanny with them took the other boy out with her and left the two together,

 "Mom what are you doing here, you should be on your bed." She shook her head and looked at the innocent boy in front of her. The main reason he didn't want to leave it's because he loved spending time with her.

 "Son mommy will miss you much" big beads of tears rolled down her pale face, her eyes red being the only colour in her body making her look pitiful. She never imagined a day without him but the universe thought different.

 She was sick and she knew that she could never heal even though she wanted to do that for him but this was her fate, to rest and never feel pain. That was her plate and what made her still breath was her son who had yet to grow and understand life.

 "I'll be here with you and that's why I'm not going to camp." Poor Lewis tried to explain obviously not understanding what her mom meant.

 "No my son you have to go and enjoy yourself, you're still young to close up and not socialize." She took her handkerchief and coughed stains of blood remaining on the white cloth. And Lewis's keen eyes saw all that despite her hiding it.

 "Do it for me ok, go have fun… you should also make a lot new friends so you may bring them to visit me…Mmmh" he nodded "My son I bless you and you'll leave a successful life for the rest of your life," he kissed her his last kiss unknown to him that it was the last day he would see her.
