Vol 2 ch 16

He returned after some time. "There is someone named Tobi at the door and he is saying that someone summoned him." Johnny had crossed his arms while he was looking at Ben, one of his feet tapping. Looking pointedly at the broken seal inside his palm.

"Listen to me man, there are certain dynamics between us." Johnny began to say seriously.

"I am supposed to be the mischievous and lovable scamp. The one who gets us into trouble." Johnny said while pointing towards himself.

Johnny then pointed towards Benn. "You are supposed to be the boring responsible one. Like a" Johnny went into a thinking pose, one hand scratching his imaginary beard. He made an eureka sign. "Like a grimm uncle. Really man what would Reed and Susan say."

The bell started to ring like crazy once more.

Ben had stood up in frustration and moved towards the door. Pushing Johnny out of the way. He had reached the intercom on his side. Looking into the camera he saw Tobi standing there pressing the bell again and again.

"Just a minute, the elevator is coming." He had yelled in a gruff voice. Taking his finger off the intercom. He thought to himself. "Seesh, I thought he was supposed to show up infront of me or something like that." Ben had muttered to himself.

During this time Johnny had gotten the remote and was watching some cartoon show. "So, what did he say." He said while shoving his mouth full of ice cream.

"Nothing, he is coming up." Ben replied. "And Johnny, please don't be yourself."

"No promises" Johnny had replied to his pleas.

Loki had gotten within the elevator which had proceeded to move. Some bland music began to play from the elevator. Loki looked at the floor he was on, 3. 30 more floors to go. He was slowly falling asleep. His eyes once more moved towards the floor he was on. 25 more floors to go. This was starting to get boring. So Loki decided to make his own fun. He created a shadow clone with which he started to play rock paper and scissors. And they had begun to have an epic match. Both of them were using their sharingan to cheat. Switching their hands based on what each of them were showing. After the tenth time

"Hey you cheater. You can't just keep changing your hands like that." One of them yelled at the other.

"You keep on changing your hand so I have to change them as well." The other shouted.

This was the scene shown to Ben when the elevator opened infront of him.

Two identical Tobis fighting against each other. Accusing each other of cheating.

They both had proceeded to look at Ben and yelled, "You decide which one of us is cheating."

Ben at the moment was feeling very regretful of his actions. Will this guy even be able to help him. Maybe, this was a bad idea. But now he was in too deep. He had no choice but to continue.

"Is he here yet?" He had heard from the living room.

"Oh God, What have I done? Now there are three of them." Ben had said with despair. He should not have acted so irresponsibly. Three man-childs to take care of.

"Take this." Both of the Tobis had proceeded to punch each other. There was some smoke and only one of the Tobi was left with a large throbbing comical bruise mark on his mask.

He then had proceeded to clear his throat and asked in a questioning tone. "So, which one of you dared summon me." Loki had said, his chest swelling in pride. A stark difference between his tone and his mannerism.

"The stone guy did." A voice yelled from the living room.

"Were you not supposed to I don't know teleport in." Ben had asked him. "Appear from a black hole or something like that."

"I have lots of enemies and when I was summoned one time. I showed up to a couple of dozen men with their guns pointed at me." Loki had shrugged at that point." After that, I changed my policy. I meet my first time employers. If the first meeting is satisfactory, I show up to their location if they break my seal." Loki had explained waving his hands around animatedly.

"So no pressure but this is the first meeting." Loki had said.

"So you did not teleport here because you were afraid of an ambush." Ben summarized.

"Got it in one. So what can I do for you." Loki had proceeded to ask him.

Ben had gone to the fridge and taken out a couple of beers. He had thrown one to Loki who had caught it and had proceeded to pop it open. "So, what's your problem." He had proceeded to ask Ben.

"As you can see doc, I don't look human. I look like a"

"A pile of rocks." Piped in Johnny from the sofa.

"Yeah a pile of rocks. I would appreciate any help with this problem." Ben had asked Loki.

"I need to ask but may I touch you. And can you tell me how your unique situation came to be."

So Ben had proceeded to tell him about the negative zone. About how Reed Richard had made a portal capable of traveling dimension and all of them had gone in except Susan who had stayed with the portal. How it had forever changed them all. Loki was listening to him quietly. Corelating this will all the knowledge that he had gained in his years in living within Asgard.

To Loki, this did not seem like just another universe. No this sounded like another dimension, one from where the sorcerer of Midgard drew their powers. Loki had never been allowed to study this magic as their was no information of this available on Asgard. What he knew, he knew from hearsay from his magic tutor. Who had mentioned to him of Sorcerers who draw their magic not from within themselves as the Asgards do but from different dimensions.

"I have heard of this. This negative zone that you mentioned may not be another universe but another dimension. I have heard tales of sorcerers who draw their powers from these dimensions" Loki had answered him.

"Sorcerer, you are joking right." Johnny said as he approached them. This had finally caught his attention as well.

"No, I am certainly not joking. Both of you are linked with one aspect of that dimension." Loki had said in a rare tone of seriousness. "That's how you can exhibit your powers. Normally, you need to make a pact or perform a series of incantations to access that energy. But you are exhibiting that energy continuously." Loki had said as he had passed his energy through Ben's body.

"Somehow, the negative zone changed all of you. All of you are connected to it and are acting like an anchor. The extra dimensional energy is flowing through you." Loki had said. His eyes had turned into the eternal mangekyou sharingan as he was busy studying the flow of energy.

"So, can you fix me." Ben had proceeded to ask Loki one more.

Loki had started to go over his option in his head. One by one, he began to eliminate the possible options within his mind. Until, he arrived at a solution that he could achieve.

"Yes, I can. But you will need to trust me. This is gonna be a little painful." Loki had explained. "Your friend here has a natural tap is how I would like to describe it. He can change the flow of energy. Increasing or decreasing it or even turning it off as he pleases. I can create one for you if you so wish. I have learned much and I can create an artificial one for you but it would be a very painful process." Loki was walking back and forth. He had personally never done it before but if he could combine fuinjutsu and Asgardian runes. It may be possible to achieve.

"Ben, he is clearly insane. Extra dimensional energy, sorcerers, magic. Clearly this guy is insane. Lets wait for Reed to come home. They can put a light to this subject." Johnny was begging Ben at this point. "Come-on man, don't make me get on my knees. You are supposed to be the responsible one."

"I need to do this now." He had turned to Johnny, looking at him imploringly.

Johnny had after looking at the desperate look in Ben's eye had acquisitioned. He sighed and turned his face away.

"Doc, can you do it now." Ben had asked Loki after taking a deep breath.

"Hold your horses, I need to prepare some materials before that. I will be back tomorrow. You gave me alot to think about." Loki had told them both, as he used Kamui to open a portal and go towards his own home.

Loki was excited, there was so much to do now. He had never seen such a thing before.

He needed to go over a few sealing arrays and select the best one. He also needed to go over some Asgardian ruins and the best way to get both of them to work together. If he does it right he can use the energy that powers the Thing's body to power the array as well. This would make for an interesting experience.
