Chuzheng broke free from Jih Cheng and, not knowing where the light switches were, gazed at him in the darkness.
"You feel so hot, are you sure you're okay?"
Jih Cheng's voice was even more hoarse than before: "I'm fine."
He turned on the light, and before Chuzheng could look his way, he headed to the bathroom: "You sit down for a moment."
The bathroom door slammed shut.
Chuzheng casually surveyed the room.
It was a two-bedroom with a living room that wasn't very large. The decor was simple, and everything was tidily cleaned up.
Chuzheng placed her stuff on the coffee table and sat on the sofa to wait.
It was quite a while before Jih Cheng came out. He didn't look at Chuzheng but brought a glass of water to her instead.
He sat across from Chuzheng and just felt the awkwardness in every way.
"So… Why did you suddenly come back?" Jih Cheng broke the silence.
Chuzheng jerked her chin up, gesturing toward the things on the table.
