Chapter 1

I can fell  the cold breeze of the air.But nothing is colder right now.I just loss my mother and now i'm nowhere to go.Where should i start?

"Are you sure you are really going?"I give them a  small smile.There is no reaseon to stay here anymore.I  guess i already know enough and have the skill to save myself from anyone.

My mother told me before her breath take away that i'm not her real daughter.She adopted me when i was a baby.I can't help but to hold at the necklace she gave when i was young.This is my only memories of here.The only thing that is the most valuable to me right now.

I was busy reading.I make myself learn everything that i couldn't even tell if my mother is sick.Not until now,but she already passed away.Though i can't change what happened.All i could do right now is to fullfill what i promise to her.I want to be the best warrior and go to the best school of an empire.It something impossible.I don't have enough gold coin to enter school.

"Yes.I have nothing left here."

"Take care yourself Mavis.Visit here sometimes."I smile once again.

"I will."

I salute at them before entering the boat.I will this small island where i grow up.I might go far away but i won't forget these land and the beautiful memories it gave me.I wish mother is here and see me achieve my dreams but it is already impossible.All i have to do is fullfill my promise to her.

I seat at the corner of the boat.There is maybw 10 of us.Some of them is just a same age of me.But there is also some that is going back to work.

Most of people from the island go to the empires and apply as a knight.That would require a talent and skill so many of the teens start training at the t

young age.

Back when i was in the island,i always make myself into my limit until i can't take it anymore.Mother would always scold me when i go home full of sweats and bruises.It is just nothing for 'cause it seems i'm born for it.I'm born to fight.

After 8 hours,we reach our destination.Where is this again?The Arcelys empire.Though i would really want to go to Alloras.But this would do.I have to stay here for a while to earn some money,take a ride to Alloras and enroll.Easy said  than done.

"Fresh fish!Two gold coin!"

"Cabage!Cabage!"

I roam around my sight.Where should i stay here.I'm new,even though i read books about the empires.I don't think it's inough.Plus the fact that the only knowledge i have is from the books since i never been in this places.

I don't know where to go so i just follow the way just to found that it is leading to the forest.I can hear a small sounds not from a far.I climb the three near me to see them.There are 7 of them maybe the same age like me.I go down and walk towards them.

"Hi!"I greeted.

"Uh?"

"What are you doing?"They smirk and eye each other.They are all boys but it's not a problem.

"Playing darts."Obviously,with the one of them holding the darts.Now i noticed the target from a far."Though you have to bet."

I raised both of my eyebrow.This is it.I need to earn money anyway so this is not a waste of time plus that i don't know where to go.I should go find a small room to stay for a night.

"Okay?How much?"They eyed each other as if they are asking everyone's permission.Some of them just shrug.

"Two gold coin."The skinny boy said and hand me a box where all the bet is being put.

I pick two cold coin in my pocket and put it in the box.All we need to do is hit the target with the dart.There are four circle drawn in different position and distance.Since i am the last one who join then i am the last one who hit it.

"Men!What was that?"A boy said in the first one when he just hit one out of four.

I wait a minute after my turn.No one could hit the right target.Because they seems having a hard time making it.What is hard heating the target in the streak.

I take the dart and heard them laugh.

"What the hope we have?We can actually start from the start when no one could really hit it."

"Or just adjust?It so far!"The other one whined.

I position myself and even prepare the dart so i won't be having a hard time throwing it.

"Hey!You can keep the coin with you if you don't want to loss it." I smirk at the one who said it.

"I don't want to keep it nor loss it."

"Start!"

I throw the dart one by one without giving a too much effort.Not that it needs it anyway.

"Where is the  gold coins?"I ask with bored expression.

"What the hell?"

"Is she for real?"

"Huh?"

"Hey!The gold coins?"I ask them again because their soul is out of nowhere.They take it like it is impossible to happen.They are just too stupid.

"That's impossible."I smile.

"What impossible?You see it with your two eyes."

"Zai,just give her the golds."The boy hesitantly give me the coins."If you one bigger price you can go in the heartland tomorrow."I can't help but to feel excited.Bigger price!Maybe my eyes right now is shining like i see a chest of gold coin.

"What is in the heartland?"

"You are not from here?"He ask.

"I just get here i while ago.I'm from Sibilo Island."

"Sibilo?I never heard that."

Maybe because they are too stupid?Who knows.Most of the students here never go to school because of lack of money.Most of them born poor and die poor.It is hard to join the nobility when in the first place you don't have the title.Though some can earn a high rank by defeating monster and such.

"Ahhh...It is just a small island.It is not owned by any empire."But who knows?Some empire is still greedy and want to widen their land and connection.

This continent ruled by 8 empire.I read that it is composed of 10 continent back them but because of the war two of them has fallen.I'm interested in Alloras even though it doesn't hold the biggest land of the continent they have the best and strongest knight and mages.It is from the book of Leon De Alphamiral.He published so many books.And one of them is about the history of the world.He is knowned as the father of the world history because of his knowledge and intelligence.He died after the war of Zambri and Respirita Empire.

"So where are you going right now.I assumed that you don't know anything about this place."I laugh.They eyed me as if i am out of my mind.

"Nah.I am not that fool to enter a land with knowing nothing.I've read a thousand of books and that includes the Arcelys Empire."

"Does your island have a school?You doesn't sound ignorant to me."

"Nope.Just to happen that there is someone letting me borrow books.Ahh!Do you know where i can rent a house?"

" A yes."

They really accompanied me until we reach the owner of a small renting room.So i treat them foods because of their kindness.

They bid their good byes and start walking back their home.

I leave my unnecessary things and locked the door beofore i leave.The whole place is starting to get darker as the sunset.The whole place still looks so lively.I am now in the heartland since this is the only place where i can rent a room.I am still adjusting because i'm not really born for a lively night like these.I'm not used to this since i born in an island and houses is far away in each other.Less structure,less people wide forest.

"Heyyyooww!Come here people!50 gold coin if you guess where the coins!"My eyes shine hearing the gold coins.

You pay for the fee before you can join the game.There is more people around them so i really make myself until i reach the front.

"In your left hand."

"You're wrong.Bwahahaha."

"5 gold coin."I said to the one who is collecting the fee.

He eyed me.

"Are you sure kid?"Do i look like a kid to him?Man!I'm already 14 years old.Damn you.

"Do you see me as a joke.Hmp!"I drop the 5 gold coin in his hand and lead my way to the front.

"Hi....Kiddo?"

"Ugh?"

"Okay.Let's start."He is now tossing the coin from his left to right palm.It would real make you confuse but i don't know.It is like moving in a slow pace as i see it.

"It's in your right hand."He seems stunned.He can't deciet.

His loud laugh echoed.

"Okay you're right."I can  hear everyone murmur.

A wide smile plastered in my face as i take the 50 gold coins.Hey!You can't find a gold coin in just walking around.It need skill and of course fast eyes.

"Who the hell is that kid?"

"I never seen her before."

"How abot for another game."I can't help but to feel thilled.Is he going to do a new trick.I now he want his ego back.

"Okay!"
