CHAPTER ONE – PROLOGUE: INTO THE VOID

'It hurts…'

Inside the sea of darkness, nothing but void can be seen as the young man opened his eyes only to find he is the only person in the darkness around him.

He frowns at the mere sight of the darkness that welcomes him, but he didn't sense anything strange about it.

'The hell is happening here?! Did I die, right? And why my body doesn't feel like hurting from being stabbed to death?'

As he thought about the last minute of his life, his irritation and anger are visible on his face as he concludes something.

'Did that bastard revive me so that he can prison and torment me as he pleases?!'

Just thinking about the possible situation that he was into; he couldn't help but wanted to scream in anger because he didn't sign up for this!

Who would have thought that he would die just like that?!

Can someone imagine that he, the famous legendary golden assassin that is feared within the Underworld Realm would die miserably at the hands of some psychopath?!

'You are the shame within the Underworld Realm! Seriously?!'

Ever since he was a child, he's been an orphan and he strives to live just to survive in this cruel world without the help of anyone around him.

At a very young age, he knows that if he didn't do anything then, he won't be able to survive in this world.

He knows that he can't fully trust someone else other than himself.

He doesn't know how much he remembered things during his childhood.

He is not the type of person to be sentimental over something that doesn't concern him.

'As much as I want to, I don't want to be reminded of how weak I was. I am not the same person I was.'

Since he's an independent assassin who doesn't belong to any organization, however, he had a personal broker who, is the one who manages all of his transactions.

His broker is the one who will direct the clients to him for a mission.

He doesn't trust the broker and he could tell that the broker didn't trust him as well.

But when it comes to money that both favor the agreement, then there will be no problem.

He doesn't remember how they met, and he isn't the type of person to remember something like that so trivial.

His first impression of the said broker is that… well, quite greedy… for money, of course.

'But I never would have expected that bastard is a f*cking psychopath! I should have killed that bastard if I knew this would happen to me!'

He knew that there will be a day that Elton, his personal broker, would betray him and he is prepared no matter what happens if that day comes.

But what he didn't prepare for… is that… the bastard harbors romantic feelings for him.

Which makes him feel uncomfortable.

'Well, I do swing in both ways but never had a serious relationship with anyone, to begin with. Taken that my job as an assassin, I am bound to have more trouble and threats in my life.'

He shook off his head to ignore those thoughts as he walked around to find a way out from this vast darkness around him.

However, he felt like he was going in circles and it's no end to this pitch-black place from where he is at the moment.

"What the hell?! Where am I? What is this place?!'

He doesn't have any idea what happens to him after that bastard stabbed him to death!

As he recalled the last memory he had with that f*cking bastard Elton before he loses his consciousness.

****FLASHBACK****

He grabs a hold on his chest, and he breathes heavily as he stumbles down in front of Elton, and he saw the bastard's smirk written on his face.

"Y-you!"

He roared in anger as he spits out blood much to his surprise.

'W-what in the…'

He shook off his head to clear his thoughts as he finds his bearing to stand up even though he felt that his strength is decreasing for some unknown reason.

'Just what in the name of a f*cking bastard did he do?!'

Elton smirks: "I never would have imagined that the legendary assassin would fall into my hands one day. How's the feeling?"

He glared back at Elton when he heard those words; "T-the hell… *cough* *cough*… W-w-what… i-i-is… t-t-this… ?!"

The more he speaks, the more blood that he spits out from his mouth that he can't fathom for some unknown reason.

Elton shrugged off his shoulders as if nothing; "Well… Let's just say it's an odorless poisonous gas that I invented recently. How is it? Is the toxicity level good? Are you satisfied with my work? Hm?"

Elton raised an eyebrow with a satisfied smirk.

"Y-you… psycho…! *cough* *cough*"

He shouted back but more blood spits out from his mouth because of rage.

He immediately took out his dagger that is hidden underneath his sleeves and desperately attack Elton.

Even though he feels numb because of that strange poisonous gas that Elton released that he didn't know how he did that, but he doesn't care about it anymore.

'If I'm going to die then, at least, I'll take him with me!'

He manages to grab Elton's collar and as he was about to stab him, Elton manages to avoid the attack and takes the dagger from his hands to stab him instead.

His eyes went wide as Elton stabbed him deeply, the poison increased rapidly inside his body because of the open wound.

"It's your fault, to begin with. You know how much I loved you, but you never acknowledge my presence. So, it would be better for you to die so that I can preserve your body and from then on, you can't leave me for the rest of your life"

Just thinking about it felt shivers down to his spine as felt disgusted by Elton's declaration.

He could still remember the way that bastard touch his face as if he is a fragile glass that needs to be treasured dearly.

'I swear if I see that f*cking psychopath, I'll tear him apart and kill him! Argh! Just where the heck am I?! Is this the prison that f*cking psychopath is talking about?!'

"ELTON, you f*cker! Where are you?! Come out! Don't be a coward, you f*cking psychopath!"

He pulled his hair out of frustration as he didn't know where the hell is he right now!

He is itching to kill that son of a bastard if he sees him!

*PUFF! *

"WHAT THE HELL?!"

He got startled by surprise at the sudden appearance of a white-looking wisp in front of him.

He didn't know if his eyes are playing him or not.

"The hell is this thing?"

'Also, am I seeing things or what? What the heck is this white-looking wisp that looks like a lightbulb doing in here?'

He didn't detect any presence within the vicinity, and he doesn't know if there is someone out there. Waiting to attack him if he let his guard down.

'I f*cking swear that if I see that f*cking bastard, I'll torture him until all his limbs are no longer can be recognized by the others!'
