Chapter 3: Servant, Get!!

Aaand we're finally back! After waiting for 10 days, the results from the poll have came through and ended by June 4 and let me just say, I'm both surprised and yet not at the same time. Both EMIYA and Ryougi Shiki(Saber) are tied with the most votes!

And since you're all waiting for this chapter, I decided to not do a final poll to choose between the two servants and just go with...well, just continue on reading to find out ^⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠^

A bright, blue light consumed Dang Yang's vision for a brief moment, his eyes closed in response, before it eventually died down and he opened his eyes to see what he got for his next 10 pulls that he got from his starter pack of 30 free saint quartz.

'Ah... I wanted to save it up for a special summoning campaign, especially the old man First-Hassan and Muramasa.' Dang Yang thought, wanting to cry but no tears would come. But even it were a special campaign, with his shitty luck, it'd take at least 500 pulls before he could finally get the special servant drop.

'Please, God, Tang San, whatever God of Luck is in this universe or the guy who gave me this cheat–Oh please, grant me your blessing!'

'AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!' Dang Yang screamed with as much excitement as he could in his mind when he finally saw not one but two 4 star servants!

And they weren't just your average 4 star servants, they were EMIYA and Ryougi Shiki! One was versatile in all kinds of weapons while the other had the ability to insta-kill anyone and anything!

'Thank you!!' He thanked whatever it was who gave him such lucky pulls in his heart.

Without any further delays, he opened up the Installment feature.

–Servant Installment: The option of equipping a servant's class skills, personal skills, and Noble Phantasm/s. Equipping a Servant card will make their class weapon your Martial Soul.

–Craft Essence Setup: The option of equipping a craft essence of your choice. Locked until you've selected your Servant Installment.

If he could move his throat right now, Dang Yang would've gulped in anticipation.

He hurriedly opened up the Servant Installment and saw three rectangular-sized slots appear before him.

'I can have three Martial Souls?!' It's been a while since he read the Soul Land series but Dang Yang could still remember that having more than 2 Martial Souls would mark you as a rare genius in the entire continent, much less three!

'Class weapons...so that makes EMIYA's black bow as my default weapon as a Martial Soul and Ryougi Shiki's katana as my second one than her Mystic Eyes of Death Perception, shame though I did remember it was a personal skill than a Noble Phantasm, the same goes for Jason as well. I'm curious what his sword is actually.'

He pressed the middle slot and saw a prompt appear.

Dang Yang didn't hesitate on clicking on EMIYA first, he watched Fate/UBW after all and had both EMIYA(Archer) and Shirou Emiya as his favorite Fate main characters, then followed by Rougi Shiki and went for Jason on the third slot but a system prompt appeared.

[Similar class servants cannot be chosen twice.]

'Tch.' He clicked his tongue but didn't complain, since he already has the abilities of two badass servants.

[Do you confirm to your Installment?][Y/N]

'Yes.' Dang Yang said without any hesitation, his heart racing with anticipation. Certain of the choices he made.

Oh how naive he was.

And with a bright flash of light, the Installment was successful.

He felt a surge of power within him, and his eyes glazed over for a moment, as a intense burst of memories from two lifetimes started flowing through his mind.

One was mostly of devastation, regret, and death as he lived on as a Hero of Justice even after his death. While the other lived a life of drama, murder, as a noble young lady of a family of retired demon hunters.

'Aaaugh....' Dang Yang closed his eyes shut, trying hard to digest the unbelievable amount of memories that was going through his mind. 'My. Head....' he inwardly mumbled, groaning.

It was like his head was being pumped full of water like a balloon, to the point of bursting!

If he could move his mouth right now, he would've started vomiting from the shock and confusion of the amount of memories flowing into his head.

After what felt like hours, just when he was one moment away from passing out, the flow of memories finally stopped.

'Oh...fuck...' Dang Yang internally shivered, quickly relieved that torturous mind fuck was finally over. 'I. Do. Not! Want to fucking experience that again...' he internally swore with half-lidded eyes.

That was the most horrible experience he'd ever felt, even when he was shot to death couldn't compare to that!

'Unless it's a five star servant or a servant with the most OP Noble Phantasm with OP personal skills, I am not getting another servant installed!'

Dang Yang then checked his status, wanting to see the changes the installment of servants have given him.

Class Skills:

•Soul Power Resistance(C+): A combination of both the Archer class and Saber class Magic Resistance, it was supposed to be A+ but was downgraded due to Dang Yang's low soul power. Anything below rank 60 spirit power attacks will be nullified.

•Lone Hero(B): A combination of both the Archer class Independent Action and Saber class Independent Manifestation. You work best alone; your soul power would never run out when you face your adversaries alone, and you're a confirmed existence in the multi-universe; you're resistant to instant death and time-control attacks.

•Connection to the Root(A): All existence originates from 「　」 and follows 「 」. For those who possess this skill, regular Parameters become meaningless.

•Mystic Eyes of Death Perception(C): Regardless of being organic or inorganic, it reads into the primary factor of death in "living" things and visualizes it as a phenomenon that can be interfered with. The world observed from the Mystic Eyes of Death Perception is a landscape of endings filled with "lines of death".

•Mind's Eye[True](B): A danger-avoidance ability that calmly grasps of the enemy's strength as well as his own situation during predicament and deduces the available means of survival on that situation. As long as there is even a 1% chance of comeback, it draws in the chance to put said strategy into motion.

[More personal skills will be unlocked when skills belonging to the servant class achieves 2nd Ascension.]

Noble Phantasm:

•Unlimited Blade Works(E ~ A): The one true Noble Phantasm of EMIYA, a Reality Marble which includes "all the elements necessary to shape swords". This Bounded Field can copy weapons that are seen only once, and store them within. Most of these objects are Noble Phantasms of Heroic Spirits copied through Projection Magecraft, each possessing deadly powers.

•Amalavijñāna: Boundary of Emptiness(EX): An Anti-Unit attack that applies the theory of the Mystic Eyes of Death Perception, severing the targets' "lines of death." The sword stroke of the afterlife released from Nirvana bestows peace to all existences.

He could feel the power of his Martial Souls, the black bow of EMIYA and the katana of Ryougi Shiki, coursing through him. He could feel that he could summon them with just a thought, though one at a time and not simultaneously...for now.

But what excited him the most, were the extremely powerful personal skills and Noble Phantasms he had.

Though he could tell that he couldn't really use EMIYA's Noble Phantasm, since his measly soul power couldn't maintain a Reality Marble for even a second, except for when he's alone in fighting his enemies because of his class skill, though Ryougi Shiki's was different and he could use it as much as he could.

Dang Yang noticed his current soul power rank and the levels of both his classes, and thought,

'...Please tell me I have Hellfire of Wisdom in my gift box.' He hurriedly checked his gift box and inwardly let out a sigh of relief when he saw a 100x, 4 star Hellfire of Wisdom(All). That'll be enough to not only level up him up to ten but also both classes at their current limit!

He then went to the Enhance feature and was about to start enhancing himself when he realized something.

Enhancement costs money, and back when it was a mere game it only needed some digitized QP that would be quickly farmed and get with missions, events, etc.

But only this time, it uses real life money called Federation Coins and Dang Yang quickly realized...he had money! The gift box didn't have any as well!

'Dang it! Looks like I gotta wait and finish this up first then head towards the Blacksmith Association to register as a blacksmith.' With that in mind, and his Martial Souls issue over with, Dang Yang patiently waited himself to be released from his frozen state.

It didn't take much long, as he could finally feel his body move around once more.

Although it felt like hours, only a brief moment had only actually passed by.

'Hell yeah!' Dang Yang excitedly cheered in his head but he was quickly taken in by surprise when his right hand suddenly glowed a bright, blue light and a sleek and long black bow, that was about 2 meters tall, quite taller than he was, appeared in his hand.

"Well that's unexpected and rare. I haven't seen that kind of Martial Soul in my entire 10 years of awakening other kids' Martial Souls, a bow." The female soul master that was overlooking his Awakening Ceremony said, surprised.

She giggled, covering her mouth with her hand. "How unexpected. I have to say, out of every newly awakened person, you have the longest bow I have ever seen."

Dang Yang....didn't know how to respond to that and just merely nodded. He didn't say anything about his second Martial Soul right now, he could feel that he can take it out, since he wanted to keep low profile for now until he can get enough money to enhance himself and find out how to get Saint Quartz.

The soul master lady smiled, yet her eyes couldn't help but reveal a trace of pity. "After I tested it, you only have rank 1 innate soul power. Although it can't be considered amazing, it still means that you possess soul power. As long as you put in great effort, then you will be able to become a Soul Master too!"

Dang Yang smiled at her. "Thank you for the encouragement. I'll do my best."

After talking for a while with her, asking for when the new semester for elementary year starts and he soon headed off to meet his uncle Cheng and start heading back to the orphanage.
