"Young lad, thank you for delivering this letter to me. May I ask how is my disciple doing these days? Is he well? Oh! Where are my manners... Come sit and tell me everything you know."
Barton suddenly became a chatterbox when Jay handed 'Giron's Letter' over to him.
"Okay... (I should probably sit down first since I cannot tell him that Giron is dead while he is like this...)" Jay thought to himself while he sat down and Barton started brewing tea.
After a few minutes...
"Here, have some tea. It is my disciple's favorite." Barton the started pouring the tea into teacups and after offering a cup to Jay, he sat down opposite of him.
But what Barton did not know was Jay was having a huge dilemma right now...
"Crap! How the hell would I tell him his disciple is dead? And that I ran away instead of helping him. Should I make an excuse like 'we were up against an alpha grey wolf' or something..." Jay thought to himself while making a weird facial expression unconsciously which made Barton a little suspicious of Jay.
Barton then asked Jay in a very serious tone "Did something bad happen to my disciple? You look like as if you're parents died."
Jay then thought to himself "Well... Screw it. He will find out eventually. I just hope I can ask him to use Dispel on me later..." Jay then started to recount every event that happened back then, from how Giron's party got wiped out by the wolves, and how he 'tried his best'.
"I see. It is as I have feared. Foolish disciple, I told him to leave the matter be. Why can't he just listen... I now have lost yet another son..." Barton said softly and started crying. But little did he know that Jay heard what he said.
"Son? What?" Jay was confused since when he was still not reincarnated and was still a normal player, there was no information in the game about Barton having any sons and disciples. At first Jay just shrugged it of when Barton said that Giron was his disciple, but now that he said Giron was his son, Jay got very curious and used 'Observation' on Barton.

"Woah! This is new. In the past ten years I played Dungeons and Towers of Fate, Barton's character description was never as detailed as this. Did my reincarnation affect the NPCs' and other monsters descriptions? (But that's impossible... I never did any game-breaking thing like soloing dungeons before the first update and stuff... As for the Murkwood Passage events... Hmmm...)" Jay thought to himself after using 'Observation' on Barton.
