Blood Magic

"Jay, please be careful. I know I cannot dissuade you anymore, but just be careful." Hellson said to Jay.

Jay was currently inside a small room in Toran's house. Toran told him to stay the night for now and Jay had no reason to disagree. So right now, he was lying down on a bedroll.

"I know. I have a godly tool remember?" Jay said as he closed his eyes, pretending to be sleeping. He was just actually going to the mind room. He did not want to be careless in any way since he was in enemy territory right now.

...

---Mind Room

Jay immediately opened the large red book on the wooden desk. The same stuff happened as before; his hand was pushed away, the book suddenly floated in mid air, and a red skull appeared that floated above the opened book.

"What do you seek?"

"Tell me everything about Blood Magic." Jay said as he sat down on the ground in front of the wooden desk.

"Very well." The red skull suddenly disappeared and some kind of projection that was bloody red in color appeared above the book. Every time the red skull said something, it moved in some way. It was as if Jay was watching a movie where everything was red in color.

"Blood Magic is a rare and unique kind of magic. It was first introduced to the world by the vampires. Then some lunatics got too obsessed with Blood Magic and decided to form their own race, a different race from the vampires: the Bloodfiends.

There are four stages of Blood Magic; Normal, Sacred, Vampiric, and Satanic. Each of the four stages has its own specialty and weaknesses. And obviously, the weakest stage is the Normal stage and becomes stronger as it moves on to the other stages.

Normal Blood Magic is basically just using your blood as a catalyst for magicka, which in turn boosts your body functions, senses, and soul. The benefit you get from this stage is the three boosts mentioned. Practitioners of Normal Blood Magic are very weak to sunlight.

Sacred Blood Magic is the second stage and is also the first step to vampirism. Practitioners who is at this stage of blood magic can suck and absorb the blood of their enemies to empower themselves. They can create destruction, illusion, summoning, protection, blessing, and demonic spells using blood. The worst thing that happens to practitioners of this stage is that they get addicted to the taste of blood and dies of hunger if they fail to drink a certain amount of blood. They are also very weak to sunlight.

Vampiric Blood Magic is the third stage of blood magic. Practitioners of this stage receives the powers of a vampire. In other words, practitioners of this stage are vampires. Bat transformation, bat swarm, mist cloak, and many other spells related to blood magic can be fully utilized by the people in this stage. They do not suffer blood addiction and can starve themselves from blood, which in turn, increases their capabilities in blood magic. They are weak against fire and light.

The last and ultimate stage of blood magic is Satanic Blood Magic. It is said that practitioners of Satanic Blood Magic can suck away the blood of their enemies with just a snap of their fingers or just from a single gaze. They can use blood in any way they want, even resurrection from a single drop of blood is possible to practitioners of Satanic blood magic. There is still no sure way to tell how to successfully defeat or kill a practitioner of Satanic blood magic." After saying all this, the red skull reappeared and the bloody projections vanished.

As for Jay, he was having mixed feelings about this while his jaw was dropped. He was shocked because of how powerful blood magic is. He was conflicted if he should still learn blood magic or not after learning that he will become a vampire in the process.

"Hey, is there any way I can learn blood magic and not become a vampire?" Jay asked the red skull.

It was pretty obvious there was no other way, but Jay hoped that there was some kind of loophole he could use.

"There are two ways."

Jay was surprised by the response of the red skull and decided to focus on what it was about to say.

"The first way is to have a weapon or artifact that has sentience. By letting it learn blood magic, you do not have to experience the drawbacks and use blood magic at its full potential.

The second way is by killing someone who can use Satanic Blood Magic. By drinking their blood, you won't experience any effects of vampirism or weakness from the sun. But by using this method, training in blood magic is more taxing to the body."

...

A few hours went by as Jay tried to relax his body and mind. He was still not sure whether to learn blood magic or not even with the two options given to him.

"If I do the first option, it might take a while since most of the weapons or artifacts that are sentient are very rare. The second option is obviously impossible..." Just as Jay was thinking of setting blood magic aside, Hellson suddenly spoke up.

"Jay, being a vampire won't actually be a problem for you."

"Huh? What do you mean? Becoming a vampire is just like becoming a bloodsucking zombie! What's worse is that I will never be able to look at the bright sky again or walk around during the day." Jay said as he remembered a lot of facts about vampires. Most of these vampire facts he was thinking of was actually stuff he only learned from movies, novels, or from the usual comic books.

"Idiot! I know what kind of fictional ideas your world has with vampires, but its really not the same with the vampires here in our world. The vampires here may be cold blooded, but they still look like a normal human. But do you know what's better?"

"What?"

"You are a Fatelord, a moon warrior, and a Chicken Man... I mean Chicken Hero. Why not add another transformation to your line-up? Ever since you learned the spell 'Complete Transformation,' you can obviously transform into your different forms or go back to your human form. But I noticed a strange thing about you.

Let's say you are hungry while in your human form. The moment you transform into your chicken form or moon warrior form, that hunger of yours decreases. And the moment you returned to your human form, your hunger comes back. Do you understand this thing I am saying?" Hellson said as he waited for Jay's answer.

"So you're saying that if I become a vampire, I will only experience weakness from sunlight if I am in my vampire form. And if I turn back into my other forms, my weakness from sunlight will be gone?" Jay said while he suddenly become excited.

"Yes! That is indeed correct! Go ahead and learn that blood magic thing. Let those demons have a taste of their own medicine! Hahaha!!!" Hellson suddenly laughed as he put on a wicked smile on his face.

"Okay..." Jay did not hesitate even further and quickly asked the red skull the process of learning blood magic.

Meanwhile, back on the Fatelord Plane...

--- Eastern Border of Wildergreene

Near the Nix River where the previous location of the Golden Phoenix Guild Hall was located, the leaders from every kingdom were currently gathered, together with their army.

Everyone was currently camped and the place was filled with leather tents.

...

Inside a large tent...

King Arturus, Queen Auburn, Aisleen, King Floki, King Elrond, Roasted Boar, Tygon, Ori, Izumi, Stromm, and a guy wearing ragged clothes were currently gathered here. They were all seated around a long table.

"Fatelord, please tell me what these commoners are doing here?" King Arturus asked as he slammed his hands on the table and looked at Roasted Boar and the normal looking guy who had ragged clothes on him.

"I am the envoy of the Golden Phoenix Kingdom. Why shouldn't I be here?" Roasted Boar rebutted.

"Lady Izumi, can we kill this fool?" The guy with the ragged clothes said as he smiled evilly.

"I am afraid you can't do that Zeph. We are all here to talk about the threat our plane is facing." Izumi said as she sipped her tea.

"The demons huh..." Queen Auburn said with a gloomy expression on her face and was still traumatized of what Toran did to her and her family.

"I suppose Izumi already told you all why we are gathered here today. It is to form an alliance among yourselves as we face the threat of the demons." Stromm said as he took out an archive formation and showed a projection about the Shurym Demons and black dragons with multiple heads.

"We detected two forces about to invade this continent. One is a small army of Shurym Demons. There are around a thousand of those gray skins in this small army and 5000 brown skins..."

"Wait, a small army? There are 6000 of them!" King Floki shouted as he slammed his fist on the table.

"In this planar war we are facing, an army that has less than 10,000 troops is considered as a small army, it can even be called a tiny army compared to the main forces of the planar invaders!" Stromm shouted before continuing to explain the projection he was showing.

"Anyways, that's all for the Shurym Demons. As for the second force approaching this continent, it is those bastards from the Darkonia Plane. The Darkonians are just monsters or creatures that have black scales and multiple heads.

Three black dragons are currently headed towards this continent. As for their power level, it is the same as that demon that almost killed the royal family of Wildergreene."

Everyone felt a trace of fear within their hearts when Stromm finished talking. Besides King Floki and Zeph, everyone in the tent knew how powerful the Shurym Demons were, even if it was just the brown or gray skins.

If they were supposed to be attacked by these two forces from the two different planes, how the hell were they supposed to survive?

"Forgive me for this rude or inappropriate question, but aren't the Fatelords supposed to be the ones defending us from these planar invaders? Why do we have to take a part of it if we are just going to be cannon fodder in the end?" King Elrond, the king of the wood elves, asked this as he stood up and looked displeased.

"As much as we want to do so, most of the Fatelords are fighting against some planar invaders at the Southern Desolate. Some of us are even taking the offensive and are currently on another plane. So tell me idiot, how are the Fatelords supposed to handle the matter about to happen at this continent?" Stromm said as he looked at King Elrond furiously and stood up.

"Enough! We are here to form an alliance and not make enemies of each other!" Roasted Boar suddenly shouted and caught everyone's attention.

"I know Jay already started planning on his own ever since he got caught up in that mess back at Greengarden. I believe he plans to destroy the Shurym Demons' plans while he is at the Shurym Plane. Instead of wasting our time here pointing out unnecessary details about who should fight against the planar invaders, why don't we just do what is necessary and fight against the planar invaders here in this plane."

Stromm and King Elrond calmed down a bit as they sat down.

"The Chicken Hero. I bet he will run off like a chicken when the real fighting begins..." King Arturus said in disdain as he spat on the ground.

"What was that a**hole? You don't believe that my successor can do it?" Tygon said as he punched King Arturus on the face, making him fall to the ground.

"Enough!"

Izumi was the one who shouted this time.

"If you do not cooperate in this alliance we are about to form, then I would be very happy to toss you all into the ocean! I believe the Fatelord of Souls needed lab rats for his experiments!"

After hearing Izumi's threat, Tygon and King Arturus looked at each other and decided to ignore each other.

"Good. Now that everyone's all quiet and calm, sign here." Izumi said as he took out a large scroll. On the large scroll, her signature that was written in blood was placed.

The large scroll was passed onto everyone, with everyone signing it with their blood.

...

Back at the Shurym Plane, Toran's House...

Toran and Torvani were currently enjoying the company of each other while they lay down at their bed. Just as they were about to 'connect' to each other, some kind of gurgling sound came from the inside of their room and a large bloody red skull appeared in front of them.

"Toran, I wish to speak to you."

Toran immediately stood up and left his house from the window of the room. Torvani did not even complain since she was a bit terrified of what just happened. Every Shurymite in existence knew the meaning of the bloody red skull's appearance. It was a summons from the War God, Shurym.

"Is it about Jay?" Torvani asked herself before wrapping herself in her blanket and decided to sleep.
