Chapter 335: Envy

Norris Moore turned her head and gave a slight smile, "Did I wake you? I can't sleep. Just came out to sit for a bit."

Trenton Smith furrowed his brow, "Come to bed quickly."

Norris tapped some ash and then turned her gaze out the window, "Look, it's raining."

"..."

"We seem to never have any memories of going out together in the rain," she took a slow drag of her cigarette, "and I don't like to get wet in the rain. I don't like stepping on fallen leaves in the fall, I don't like the smell of plane trees." At this point, she let out a soft sigh. Trenton didn't know what she was reflecting on, but he could see a hint of calm sadness in her smile.

Trenton silently watched her; Norris met his gaze and let out a low laugh, "It's nothing. I'm just thinking, how much longer will I have days like this."

"What are you thinking about?" he chastised softly, "Are you still angry that I can't accompany you to the hospital?"
