Kyoto Prefectural Jujutsu High School
Utahime Iori stood before a wooden door with the name 'Akira Zenin' on it, exhaling coolly then knocking on it. A few seconds passed before it was opened by a tall dark-haired teen.
"Ah Utahime-Sensei, to what do I owe this pleasure?" His voice low and enigmatic.
"Gakuganji has requested for you. He wants to give you the 'mandatory' test for new students, but don't worry, it's a simple test, just to verify your grade."
"Was the report the Zenin Clan gave not enough? Surely, I deserve a grade 3." He questioned, an etch of annoyance laced in his tone. He really couldn't be asked to get himself into any more hassle then is necessary, but trouble just seems to find its way back to him.
"It's merely for the principal to authenticate their judgement, nothing more. I suggest you make your way, he doesn't like to be kept waiting." With that, Utahime left the dormitory however her mind was clouded by the mystery that is Akira Zenin. Supposedly, an average sorcerer with an average talent for jujutsu and an average innate cursed technique. Yet everytime she was around him, she couldn't help but feel she was in the presence of a beast. After all, she was oblivious to his true strength.
…
Akira sighed to himself as he walked through the training grounds making his way towards the principal's office. It was obvious what had happened. His last mission wasn't actually a mission, but a ploy to uncover his true strength and he 'fell' for it. Though he admits, he did go a bit overboard on a bunch of grade 2 curses but he just wanted to go full power for once.
'And now look where that got me.' He thought sighing to himself as he now faced the grand door of the principal's office. Just as he was about to knock, the door opened and he was greeted with the shirtless figure of Aoi Todo, his upperclassman.
Before he could even utter out a 'hello', he was met with a jab straight at it's chest which he blocked but the force of it sent him back a few paces.
He quickly regained his footing and watched as Todo rushed him with a high kick to the head which Akira ducked under and performed a sweep kick.
Clap.
The kick connected against a log which shattered upon impact. His senses were telling him to jump forward which he did, narrowly avoiding a punch aimed for his back.
He inwardly praised Todo's battle acumen for the smart play of avoiding the kick by swapping with a log behind him.
"Not bad. Impressive for a first year." Todo applauded him with a clap. Instantly, he swapped places with a stone that was placed next to Akira and attemped a low kick to the thigh.
Just as the kick was about to land, Todo felt his body lock in place, unable to move, before he felt a punch to his stomach. The force of Akira's fist, reinforced by cursed energy, sent Todo stumbling a few steps back.
A crazed smile appeared on the upperclassman's face as he looked at his opponent. "You stopped my body with your shadows. Maybe its time I stop underestimating you." He laughed before moving into a fighting stance.
Akira didn't waste any time and dashed forward towards his senior, pulling out two unique looking daggers. He threw one of them at Todo mid-run and the grade 1 sorcerer responded with a simple head tilt.
'Shadow Exchange'
Akira swapped with the shadow of his dagger that was slowly passing by Todo's head. He reappeared within Todo's vicinity and attacked his opponent's face with a knee.
Todo's initial reaction was suprise yet he managed to break out of his stupor and quickly grip Akira's knee, holding him in place but the newbie sorcerer twisted in Todo's grip and kicked with his other leg.
Todo managed to grab the underclassmen's other leg and smirked at Akira's current helpless state but his advantage was quickly cut short when a shadow hand punched his face, leaving Todo's nose bleeding.
The hit made the older boy loosen his grip on Akira's legs and Akira took that opportunity to escape it.
They both moved backwards, now keeping a distance between each other. Just as they were about to rush at each other again
"That's enough now." Gakuganji spoke with a sigh, "Todo, thank you for your help."
"My pleasure." He responded with a grimace, as he turned to Akira, "We will have rematch soon. But before that, what's your type?"
"I don't have one."
"What a bore." He yawned before maing his way back to his dorm.
"Akira, pleased to finally meet you. I've been meaning to have a conversation with you since you joined a week ago, but times have been busy." He spoke softly yet an almost hidden malice could be heard in between his words.
"It would have been nice to meet you had I not been attacked." Akira spoke back coldly.
"It was simply for me to gouge your combat abilities, quite impressive for a 'grade 3' ." His voice lingered on that last part, perhaps questioning his bluff.
"What are you insinuating, Principal Yoshinobu?" Akira questioned, feigning ignorance.
"Quit the act. The higher ups have already reviewed your case."
"So if you were already aware of my strength, why orchestrate this useless fight?"
"Merely for this old man's curiosity." He spoke as he handed Akira a sheet of paper. "Here's your updated file along with a new sorcerer status."
Akira examined the sheet of paper in his hands with an irritated look.

Annoyance was clear on his face now as he stared at the sheet of paper. It's not as if he was completely hiding his strength, he just wanted to avoid any further annoyances.
'What a drag.' He thought to himself. His complacency had allowed his farce to break and it hadn't even been a full week since the Zenin Clan allowed him to join one of the Jujutsu Schools.
"The Zenin's are furious with you. For hiding your true ability. Why hide it?"
"Because why would I want to become someone else's weapon." Akira replied sharply. He didn't really care how he answered, even if he seemed to be outwardly opposing the higher ups. He had heard of the rumors of how the higher ups were manipulative old bats always trying to use jujutsu sorcerers to their gain.
"Well, your personality certainly does match your new mentor's. You'll be leaving here and attending Jujutsu High under Gojo Satoru's tutelage." His tone laced with disgust, no longer able to hide his irritation when mentioning Gojo's name.
"Why can't I stay here?" He didn't really mind leaving this place but being in the presence of his older cousin that has a strong hate towards him and his half-brother he'd never met wasn't the best place to live a comfortable school life. Though he knew why he couldn't stay here, as he glanced back towards his information sheet, specifically his status.
"Because Gojo Satoru is the only one alive who could kill you without breaking a sweat."
…
Tokyo Jujutsu High
"Satoru, you need to take this seriously." Yaga grunted, annoyed at Gojo's dismissive attitude.
"It's not that serious, just another special grade. I mean look at Yuta, it's not anything we haven't seen before."
"Here, take a look at the Higher Up's report."
Grabbing the sheet from Yaga, Gojo merely skimmed through it before his eyes landed on the warning comment.
'Geto Suguru.'
