As the sun was setting and night was coming Titania and Ajax sat by a fire. Ajax thankfully knew how to make a fire. They were quiet as they ate the bear being roasted over the fire, the fat from the bear would drip onto the fire causing the occasional flame to spike dramatically.
They took cuts of meat from the bear using the knife they found on the assailant. The meat, while filling, tasted plain as it had no seasoning or spices of any kind.
When Titania was done eating he turned his attention to Ajax and fell deep in thought. Ajax was starting to cook another cut of bear, his attention somewhere else. Titania was not concerned of his safety as he knew that if Ajax wished to kill him he would already do so or let the assailant do its job. Another reason why was because Titania knew that Ajax was General Rad's son as he look very similar to his father albeit with some difference in facial features and know the personality of General Rad some of it had rubbed off on his son.
Titania was far more concerned with something else. He had bulky muscles and a strong build, he had the strength to knock out an alleged 'Pugilist'. However, he knew full well the abilities and skills of Psychic class people and seeing the assailant struggle to move their own body lines up with his reasoning.
But the one thing that was bothering him was the probability of it. His appearance indicates that he has a number in both strength and constitution. Most psychic class people have strength or constitution as their lowest stat to increase intelligence or wisdom as those were the stats that were important for that class. If he could see his stats or his class it would put his mind at ease nut in order to do that he would need to make physical contact with the subject.
"How did you do that?" Titania asked Ajax as he started to draw with no intention of making art in the dirt with his long, black fingernails filled with grime. Thankfully due to the dark color it couldn't be seen.
"What? Eat this? I don't know, taste like ass but still better than nothing." Ajax answered as he ripped a mouthful of meat by his teeth and began eating it. "But something is better than nothing... Could use garlic or pepper though."
Titania let out a small laugh and seeing that his horrible joke landed Ajax laughed as well. However, a small spark of frustration broke out when Ajax didn't answer, then again he didn't directly ask his question.
After he was done laugh with some mild rage he collected himself and reiterated his question, "Look Ajax, When that umm..." Titania said as he pointed to the spot in the river where Ajax threw the body of assailant. "That guy who was attacking me, when they got on top of me and were about to smash my face in they stopped for a moment. As they couldn't control their body no matter what they did." He paused for a moment and stared at Ajax, expecting him to understand now his question, but again disappointed with no answer.
Titania finally took a breath and asked his question directly, "What are you? Are you a psychic or a pugilist? Your body says that you are a pugilist but it looks like you have the powers of a psychic?" He looked at Ajax and could finally see the lightbulb go off in his head.
He tried to give an answer but forgot that there still food in his mouth. He made a muffed sound and paused for a moment as he continued to eat. Eventually he swallowed what he had in his mouth. "Yeah, I am a psychic class," Ajax finally answered, he raised his eyebrows and made a surprised facial expression as though this was some big reveal. Titania didn't reciprocate what Ajax was expecting but now was satisficed with finally having an answer to his question.
"That makes sense..." Titania muttered as he fell into thought. By appearing as a pugilist the enemy would be put into a false sense of safety but once the enemy fought Ajax they would be in for a surprise. Titania believed that Ajax had a balanced build or all of his stats were evenly distributed.
However, if one where to look at Ajax through the system and see his stats one would realize something very important to the psychic class is amiss. Intelligence and Wisdom stat are his lowest stats, with wisdom being lower. What Ajax did, slowly taking control of a parts the assailant's body, stressed his mind and energy to the extreme, making him weak for a moment. However thankfully he was able to mask it and not show it to Titania as he thought if he showed signs of weakness Titania would take advantage. To put it better, Ajax barely qualifies to be called a psychic, the absolute minimum.
Now that Titania has gotten the answer to his question he was immediately plagued by two more questions. One was related to Ajax and the other not.
Who is Ajax? Surely the son of a General of the military would be mentioned in the lore. Especially given the Ajax is the son of the legendary General Rad, an important character to the players but not really the story. But alas not a single whisper of Ajax name was mentioned, be it in the lore or in forums that he remembers. And such a strange character as well, a psychic that has the strength of a pugilist? Or the appearance of so. Even players who foolishly pumped their psychic characters with the strength and constitution stat couldn't give their characters a muscular build. But Ajax does! How does such a unique character go unnoticed?
That is another thing that worried him. His memory and his actions. Can he affect the overall course? Should he even participate at all? Go out on his own? What happens if he misremembers something or did something wrong, will everything in the future be thrown off course?
Why did he have to be thrown into a world based off a videogame he knew? Why not some foreign world that knew nothing off, committing actions without the care? He could do any action regardless of the consequence.
Maybe he should do that. He sees no harms in doing actions that benefit him. Maybe...
Even the system that he was given is the same as he knew back in his previous life! Maybe if he didn't know he would feel better. Ignorance could be bliss.
Titania was lost in thought as he stared at the sun setting and going into its daily grave as the moon soon takes it place in the throne of the sky.
