Follow Don in a post-Cole MacGrath/Delsin Rowe world as a young adult conduit by birthright. This is a fanfic/novel to satisfy my need for more of the Infamous universe by SuckerPunch studios. I'll try and keep it as canon friendly as possible, though it will inevitably have many variations to try and make the story fit in, as well as be my own story. this will not focus on either Cole nor Delsin, though it may at some point have them in it This is my first story ive ever written so please let me know kindly about any grammar issues and the like
"Remember son, those of us who carry Schwer blood are different. Yes we are superior, but that does not mean that we are better. We live alongside them, just as they do us. They have the same capacity for good as we do, and the same capacity to do evil as we do. Humans are not to be looked down upon, they have developed technology that can kill or worse, the young and undeveloped of our kind. That doesn't mean you should fear them, but be wary of your actions. Humans fear what they do not know or understand. Do not blame them for their weakness, in many ways, they are only human."
These words and others like them have been a constant in my life. Reminding me to be careful, but still care for others, as well as be strong and proud but not to be arrogant. I can't say that I have been perfect with following my father's advice but I've tried my best. Today so far has been no different, and I wouldn't expect it to be any different.
I've already finished my tasks that I set aside for myself for the day, and now I've got myself some free time that I intend to fully enjoy after a long boring day. Some friends already contacted me about a meet that some fellow crews have set up for the day so I'm going to meet up with my crew before we show up and have some fun. Closing my front door, I yell "HEY OLD MAN, I'M HEADING OUT" receiving a response in turn "AIGHT REMEMBER THE RULES" sweet, all good to go then. I sprint down the front porch stairs to my pride and joy, a mint condition big block ford 68 mustang with a screw supercharger. On regular gas she makes about 660 to the wheel and on E85 about 820 to the wheel. Blacked out exterior, modernised interior, I threw everything into this car even the kitchen sink and the sponge and soap with it.
Starting up the engine will never get old to me, it's a sense of euphoria almost. This is my castle, my escape, and if I am lucky enough to keep her that long, the one thing that will go with me in my grave. Grabbing my phone while I wait for my engine to warm up, I call my right hand man and my best friend Cole. "Hey C! You got the crew together already? I'm warming up my engine right now." "Yeah man, we all here waitin for you! Meet us at the usual spot. Oh! Check it, I've got someone I think you would like to meet that just showed up too, little surprise for ya hehe" "awh shit bro you didn't bring another chick did you? I told you that I'm good, I'll find one myself!" "hey, just give her a chance will ya you muscled freak? HAHA" "HAH aight ya bastard I'll see you there!"
A bit later, at the crew meet up spot, the whole crew was waiting for Don while chatting and planning escape routes incase the 12 came to shut the fun down. Hearing a loud engine and supercharger, they knew he was close, but judging by the fact that it wasn't deafeningly loud he still had about a quarter mile to go. They hurriedly got into rank and file according to their position in the crew. As Don pulled up he saw them standing at attention in front of their cars lined up and looking serious. With his car parked and engine cut, he walked up to them and they all started laughing and everyone exchanged hugs and greetings. One of the crew's favorite pranks to pull on him was that they would always act like he was some sort of commanding officer or general because he had the look of a grizzled soldier despite him being only 22, and this was just a continuation of that.
With everyone gathered up, Don looked at Cole, then said to the whole crew, "Alright, let's do a sound off and mark down who is here, as we all know whoever misses the most meets a week owes everyone else a case of beer". "Okay, in completely inconsequential order, please give a solid YEE YEE so I can mark you down"

"that was a solid one Tay, trying to make me forget you didn't go to last night's meet? haha don't worry beer is getting cheaper these days! HAHA"
Don steps forward "Aight, we are all here so let's get this party started" "WAIT!" interrupts Cole, "you still have your date for tonight you haven't met yet!"
