7. Progress, Fishman Karate and Hasshoken

It's been 7 years since I got my chance to be transmigrated to one piece world. After setting a deadline for my stay on this island 3 years ago I had dived right back to training. The results speak for themselves. 'Stats'

After 7 years of training and six months stuck at lvl 149, I was able to awaken my devil fruit last week. It is a whole world of difference.

At lvl 149 my range of large scale techniques was a radius of 500 meters around me and the speed of projectile techniques were a bit above mach 3. And autonomous wood creations like golems were limited to 150 meters in height.

After awakening my devil fruit I can cover a whole island with a forest without moving from my spot as long as my stamina holds up (with my current amount it definitely can). To do the same before awakening I would have to walk around the island growing trees. Now I can create something like Sabaody Archepelago in a few days. Size of my wooden creations are also only limited by my stamina. The speed of my projectile moves increased to mach 5. My observation haki can now also be extended through nearby plants and trees making me perceive more detailed information. If it is an island with moderate vegetation the whole of the island is in the range of my detailed observation. The first time I used it on my island I had an information overload but I quickly got used to it as I experienced this daily on a smaller scale for years in the form of knowledge feedback from clones. Now I can keep it up continuously for an hour without consequences. My moves like wood spike, vines, carnivorous plant etc can now be extended as long as the target is in my sensing range and I have enough stamina. Maximum wood clones I can maintain at once increased to 50. And I can create one clone with 75% of my combat capabilities minus the devil fruit powers. To distinguish it from other clones I call it Perfect Clone.

While increase in my combat capabilities are nice and all, the real benifit I got is something else, 'eternal life'. Yes, you heard it right, eternal life. But I will age till I hit my prime, then only stop ageing. I sighed in relief when I found this out, I don't want to look like a youngster all my life, nobody takes them seriously.

But this is not to be mistaken with immortality, I can still die. I will just be out of the grips of old age permanently. I can still get stronger after my body stops ageing.

Devil fruit control is not the only skill I maxed out. I maxed out all the Haki techniques, Rokuougan, and sword and gun mastery.

With Observation Haki, I can now see a few seconds into the future. Now with it I can sense people's presence, strength, emotions and intentions. Its range has also increased to a 50 kilometers radius.

For Armament Haki with this level now I can emit the armament a short distance without a medium. I can also make the emitted armament flow into a target's body and destroy it from the inside out, in wano this technique is called Ryuo.

With Conqueror's Haki I can now overpower the will of others to either knock them unconscious or make them temporarily subservient to me.

As for Rokuougan (six king gun) I can now use it from any limb of my body even elbows and knees. And I can use it now every 10 seconds.

When I maxed out my sword mastery I got a sword domain. Anything within the domain can be cut with a thought from me. The sword domain started at 10 meter radius and now maxed out at 500 m radius. All of my sword moves have improved, especially flying slash. Now I can cut a mountain with it if I want and its range increased too.

With my increasing abilities with the sword it was apparent that I needed better swords. With my current blacksmithing level I can make Skillful grade and Great grade swords, so I did just that. So I have a pile of swords in my storage ring that swordsmen around the world will give an arm and leg for. In total I managed to make 10 Great grade swords and the best part is that they are free from any annoying curses.

When I maxed out gun mastery, its influence increased from just guns to increasing the accuracy of any projectile techniques I have, like flying finger gun, exploding seed (I refuse to call it bullet seed) etc. Coupled with my Observation Haki I can accurately shoot anyone within 50 kilometers. I can now accurately shoot with guns on both hands. I have also figured out how to add armament haki to bullets to increase penetrative power, but they only last 2 seconds after the bullet is fired. So I have to hit my opponent within that time.

A problem I have come across with is that opponents with adequate observation haki can detect and evade bullets, like my humandrill sparring partners. So I made various supersonic bullets with maximum speed of mach 5. With my technological expertise it is easy to make these. I made these bullets out of a sound absorbent metal (also tipped with sea stone), so they don't produce sonic booms. With my body strength I don't even feel the increased recoil.

After years of development I have made a laser gun from reverse engineering the pacifista. The easy part was recreating the laser, I have been able to do it for 2 years. The hard part was the power source. I have been puzzling over the pacifista's power source for years. It is too small to produce the kind of energy needed to power a pacifista using traditional power source. At first I thought it was a dial like a reject dial that can store massive amounts of energy. I even jokingly thought it was powered by cola like Franky. But it turned out to be something totally unexpected, the power source happened to be a Cold fusion reactor (CFR). CFRs are comsidered impossible in my old world because in them nuclear fusion is occuring at room temperature. But for him to figure this out and make it work Dr. Vegapunk is truly 500 years ahead of his time. I don't get why a scaled up version is not used in marine warships and other facilities. My best guess is that that the world government didn't ask about the powersource and the doctor didn't volunteer the information about it's potential. Anyway I won't be ignoring this potential.

In the end the result was two guns one silver, one black. I modelled it after the AGL Arms 45 Long Colt, Vash and Knives' weapons from the anime Trigun. The cylinder is replaced by a similarly shaped CFR and the laser is produced in the barrel of the gun. It has a range of 2.5 kilometers after which the shot dissipates. The lasers travel at near light speed, so unless you have future sight of Observation Haki it can't be dodged. The only downside is I can't coat the lasers with Armamemt. But It's already quite powerful as it is.

In these four years I also mastered new combat skills such as Fishman Karate and Hasshoken.

Fishman Karate is a martial art that utilizes the high strength, speed and mobility of fishmen in land and water to deliver devastating blows. This is perfect for me as I got a way to best utilse my high physical attributes. The secret of fishman karate is mastery of the water in the users direct vicinity, using its power to send powerful waves impacting the water within the opponent's body. Because every creature has high percentage of water within their body, users of fishman karate are able to battle opponents highly resistant (if not immune) against blows and punches like Luffy who is a rubberman. It can be also be used effectively on land as you can utilize the water in the atmosphere and use it to attack.

As I maxed out Fishman Karate I can use all the variations of seiken (brick fist) to transmit powerful blows through the water vapour in the air to send opponents flying or transmit the impact through the water in a persons body, bypassing the defenses, even those of devil fruit users. I can also use water in my vicinity or in the atmosphere to form different shapes (like drills) to attack my opponents. My favourite is launching a drop of water as a deadly projectile with kinetic force created by my immense strength. Due to my max level seastone resistance I can also use all the underwater moves. Also due to my high mastery I can control water in my vicinity like a logia devil fruit user.

Hasshoken or Eight Impact Fist is a martial art used by the Chinjao family. This fighting style allows the user to control vibrations around their limbs to generate shock waves. This shockwave is powerful enough to destroy a metal shield and cause serious damage to opponents. These attacks are unblockable and reverberating, causing defenses to shatter. The only drawback is that the shockwaves can be countered by significant amount of force. But that is only if the opponent is on your level. For those weaker than you this cause tremendous damage.

After I mastered it I can now use this fighting style with any limb of the body, whether it be head, fists, legs, knees or elbows. I can also use every moves of this style including the secret technique Drill Dragon Nail, which can split layers of ice, though I prefer using my legs for it as I don't have a drill head.

The progress of my humandrill sparring partners have been also impressive. This time I did't wait for them to pick up the techniques I just straight up taught them Hasshoken and Fishman Karate. After 3 years they are between level 75 to 85 in both fighting styles. Their other skills also improved. Boxing is now between level 110 to 120, Rokushiki techniques are between level 105 to 115, sword and gun mastery between level 90 to 100 and Haki also between level 90 to 100.

I also learned most of the books about navigation and memorised it. I even made a small 10 meter motor boat (there is no way I'm relying solely on sails to get me anywhere) with seastone embeded at the bottom to learn navigation for when I eventually depart from this island. But because of the absence of wind and abnormal wheather phenomenons here I couldn't raise the skill level that much.

There is only one more year till I leave this island. During this one year I will cocentrate on polishing my various fighting styles so they work well together. I will also concentrate on building a ship with all my technological knowledge and other expertise like wood working and blacksmithing.
