Chapter 17: Brewing trouble(part-2)

Kurokai walked out of All Might's office with unhurried steps.

Although he appeared calm on the surface, on the inside he was bubbling with excitement, just a moment ago he saw All Might's face change visibly under the vague clues he indirectly provided.

'Who was the blue-haired villain? why did he wear a dead man's hand for a mask? We're they his family?....."

The more he said.

'Was his family killed?.....but by whom?.....'

The more All Might's expression crumbled, until finally.

'Shimura? Why does it feel like the surname of a hero?'

He hit the name in the coffin.

Kurokai almost couldn't hold back his smile so he hurriedly left the room leaving behind the devastated All Might.

'I really like it, this feeling of manipulation, control....'

It seems he was gradually awakening a terrible hobby.

Classes were already over and all the students had mostly left the school, only Kurokai stayed behind since he wanted to 'surprise' All Might.

Walking down the silent hallway, Kurokai enjoyed the peace, it reminded him of his school days from his previous life.

Remembering the faces of his previous classmates, and the mischiefs they used to perform together, the memory of the good old days seems to pass through his mind.

Unfortunately, it seems during the process of growing up the little bind that they thought was unbreakable failed to pass to withstand the passage of time.

Shaking his head, Kurokai got rid of the past memories and took a look at the stack of paper in his hand.

It was a list comprised of various heroes who were offering him an internship.

Since 9000 offers were too much and time-consuming to look at, teacher Eraser Head screened the offers(without his permission) and gave him a list of the ones he thought were most suitable for him.

'It's not like it matters, since my choice was set to begin with.', Kurokai thought as he circled Endeavour's offer.

The next plot will happen there, and working with the number 2 Hero will bring him great media exposure.

However, he had to say he was a little disappointed.....for not receiving an offer from Miriko, the number 5 Hero.

Just a little disappointed.

Just a tiny....small....minuscule amount of disappointment.

Miriko was after all a solo hero.

And he didn't want to work at Mount Lady's house as a cleaner, he could already imagine her using his quirk for all kinds of redundant things in the name of teaching.

So Endeavour was chosen.

Yes, he was definitely his first choice.

After submitting his choice to Eraser Head who didn't seem to be surprised by his decision, Kurokai left the school's grounds.

Starting next week he will be working under Endeavour.

Standing in front of the huge skyscraper, Kurokai wondered how many ATMs he would have to rob to make one of these.

Walking passed the security after showing his internship letter, Kurokai arrived in front of the help desk, and a lady with professional clothes greeted him.

Surprisingly she seemed to know him, having watched UA's sports event, he could see literal stars coming out of her eyes.

Then under her lead, he arrived at his destination.

Endeavour's office.

He even met a familiar face leaning outside the door.

"I didn't think you would choose Endeavour...don't tell me did my dad really bribe you?", Todoroki asked while looking at Kurokai with sharp eyes.

Listening to his words, Kurokai grabbed his chin, thought for a moment, and said.

"No, but I do think I deserve a reward for whooping your ass."

The sudden vulgar words stunned the receptionist lady who was escorting Kurokai.

Finally after the reception lady left in a hurry, Todoroki and Kurokai entered the office together.

"I have been waiting for you, Shoto.", Endeavour said with a cocky smile on his face.

Staring at his son he continued.

"It seems you are finally ready to take the path of the mighty....."

Then his gaze shifted to the smiling Kurokai.

"Even you...."

Endeavour gave Kurokai a deep look as if trying to test him, but Kurokai didn't seem to budge at all.

"I have no intention of going down the path you made."

Endeavour focused back on Todoroki.

"I will take my own path."

Endeavour snorted and said.

"Oh well, get ready, we're going out."

"Where?"

"I'll show you---"

Endeavour stopped and looked at Kurokai.

"I'll show you both what a hero is."

With that Kurokai and Todoroki left under Hero Endeavour's lead.
