A young soul from Earth met an untimely demise, however instead of going to heaven or hell, the soul of the young man finds itself reborn as the third son of Odin! With a divinity strong enough to trample the universe, watch the rise of an ambitious God...
There was a commotion outside the supermarket. Many people watched in pity and horror towards the body of a young man lying on the floor.
"Someone call an ambulance!" A voice shouted.
But it was already too late, blood oozed out of broken skull of the young man. His eyes were already closed, his body being embraced by the cold at an alarming rate.
A truck driver had run this young man over, and the accident had left no scope for survival.
'Is this how it ends...?' A fleeting thought emerged from the soul of the young man as it left the body completely.
.
Darkness, total darkness.
It was what surrounded me.
I felt cold and solitary, I wanted to escape this darkness. However, I could not move or do anything.
I was stuck in one place, hoping to leave the darkness. My thoughts were a jumbled mess, I could not remember who I was, thinking about even one question took thousands of years, or atleast felt like it took that long.
After what seemed like an eternity I suddenly felt a change occuring in the dark void.
Slowly, a white rift appeared in the darkness.
At first, it was just a narrow crack, but soon the fissure in space traveled, spreading like cracks on a glass.
In just moments, a huge space of white light had appeared before me.
A tremendous sucking force appeared from the crack as it pulled me inside.
Helplessly, my soul was dragged through the dark void into the blinding white.
Then I did not know what happened, what was going on, how much time passed. I was in a very interesting condition.
I felt weak, sleepy and strangely... warm!
Whatever had happened inside the white light, I was not complaining. My current situation was a thousand times better than it was in the dark void.

"My lady, just hold on a bit longer." A handmaid urged the queen.
"Ahhh..." Frigga, the queen of Asgard however moaned in pain. The childbirth was taking an unnatural toll on her.
"Just a bit longer," another handmaid said as beads of sweat accumulated on her forehead.
After another five minutes of screaming and crying, the queen of Asgard had given birth to her second child.
The handmaid held the boy in her hands and gave him a quick bath in some warm water.
Wrapping him in a dark red cloth, she presented him to a man adorned in golden and white robes.
His one eye was covered by an eye patch giving him a cold yet magestic look. He was the king of Asgard, Odin!
Odin's presence was authoritative, he held the boy in his arms and stared at his face for a few seconds.
The boy had not cried since birth, instead a happy smile was plastered over his face.
His dark eyes stared back into odin's. Not bothered or frightened by the man at all.
Noticing this, Odin smiled and held him up into the air.
"From today, you shall be known as...
"Ivar"
