Chapter 9

Lan Rou looked at Long Chen for a few minutes and then asked, "What kind of price I will have to pay?"

Hearing this Long Chen smiled and said, "Maybe you will have to bind yourself to another for a lifetime or if you could find a way to leave but before telling the method, I want the three of you to swear an oath on your blood and soul that you will never tell this to anyone in life who doesn't know about it and if you try to tell that anyone or betray my trust, you will die. And I will only tell the method Lan Rou and she will decide. Both of you can leave after swearing the oath."

Long Chen had said all this with a smiling expression but his tone said otherwise and he had unconsciously revealed his sword cultivation. Seeing their expression he understood what had happened and apologized for losing control.

While all swore an oath as they knew Long Chen was pretty serious about this and as they completed the oath, there was a lightning sound in the sky as if telling that their oath was accepted.

After the oath, both Lan Xi and Lin Feng left the place. They knew that their work was done and they also need time to digest everything they had been told.

Now only Lan Rou and Long Chen were left in the courtyard. Both of them looked at each and with a determined expression on her face, Lan Rou asked about the method.

Looking at her determined expression, Long Chen sighed and started telling her about his Sky Poison Pearl and how if she becomes its spirit, she will be able to stay with him and her children but her loyalty will change to him.

He also told her that in the future when he was capable enough, he will create a body for her with Sky Poison Pearl as a core and then she will be able to meet Lan Xi and Lin Feng.

Till then she will only be able to see them and talk to them using the Talisman he will create in the future.

Hearing all this, Lan Rou had a blank expression on her face. She was too shocked to speak but also had a lot of questions to speak.

She then asked him all the questions like how he will take care of the children. or if he can make her children strong so that they live till she can meet them again? and other questions.

Long Chen also answered all the questions with ease and explained everything to her.

He also told her that he can make her children's potential good but everything will depend on their hard work.

He won't be spoon-feeding them or giving them fish to eat but will teach them how to fish and how to eat.

With all the questions answered, Lan Rou had a relieved and excited expression on her face. She had lost her will to live and now that she had a method, even if it will make her lose her freedom, she will get to live and talk to her children.

Now her children can also become genius cultivators and she was also excited to see how far Long Chen will reach.

With this decision, she asked for all the things, she had to prepare but Long Chen told her that there is no need to prepare anything.

He also told her that, if she starts now, it will take her 2 months to merge with Pearl and become conscious and if she decides to take a month, she will have to wait more than a year to merge with it and 2 more years to get conscious as she will have a weak spirit at that time.

Now it was her turn to decide and she immediately accepted the first option but only after getting a promise from him that he will take care of Lan Xi and Lin Feng.

With the decision, she decided to call the children and then talk to them.

Long Chen looked at her and told him that he will be in the library and she can talk to them and explain a few things but no mention of the pearl and other secrets which she can understand herself.

Long Chen left the room and went to the library while Lan Rou called Lan Xi and Lin Feng to talk.

A few hours later, Lan Rou came with a crying face but she had a smile on her face. With this, they decided to start the ritual.

As soon as he thought of Sky Poison Pearl and decided to take Lan Rou as the spirit of Sky Poison Pearl, he heard a message in his mind.

It said, "Have you decided to take Lan Rou as the spirit of the Pearl?" Hearing this Long Chen smiled and said Yes.

On the other hand, Lan Rou was experiencing the same thing, she heard, "Have you decided to become the spirit of Sky Poison Pearl?" Hearing this Lan Rou also smiled and said Yes.

Just as both of them accepted, a light appeared and Lan Rou's body disappeared from the place.

Long Chen looked inside the Poison Pearl and saw that it was levitating in a place while her spirit was now covered with a green light.

Seeing this, he sighed as now she will talk to him 2 months later and then he decided to check his juniours now.

He went outside and saw it was late night and both Lan Xi and Lin Feng were sitting together while holding hands.

He went to them and puts his hand on their head.

They looked up and saw it was him and understood that the ritual had ended and now they will listen to their mother, 2 months later.

Thinking of this, their eyes started to get wet and then Long said, "You can cry now. Crying doesn't make you look weak and it shows you have something to care about."

"Cry as much as you want today as from tomorrow, you won't get the time to cry." He said the last line in a joking tone but he was dead serious about this.

After all, he had made a promise and a sword cultivator never breaks a promise. S/He would rather die than bend.

He started to ruffle their hair while they also broke down and started crying.
