BACK TO THE PRESENT

"Brent!" My dad shouted the moment he got in. Well, I guess news do travel fast. Now, how do I get out of punishment?

"Dad, I'm sorry, I ... Lost it. I swear it will never happen again." I quickly said before he could say anything else.

"Come here" and I hurriedly left with him. There was complete silence in the car as we made our way home. I was busy thinking of what excuse I would give once we got home. My dad wasn't who I was scared of, it was my mom. Should I play the baby card, or the man card? Considering my age, I would go with the baby card, she can't possibly resist it right? Right?

My dad pulled up the car in front of a fairly average house. Before we got out, my dad pulled me back " hope you've got something up your sleeve kid?" He asked.

"Yeah, I got it all sorted out" and with that we went in.

"BRENT! WHAT WAS THAT ALL ABOUT?" My mom screamed the moment I walked in.

"Mom, I'm sorry, I-I didn't mean it. I just got tired of all the bullying and i... Lost it, I-I'm sorry mom" I looked at her with teary eyes and to seal the deal, there came the tears.

"Oh, I'm sorry baby, I didn't mean for you to cry, oh come here." The look in her eyes softened as she picked me up. I turned back to see my dad staring at me in disbelief. The rest of the day passed by with me and my parents, in my room, picking out my clothes and snacks and money and other necessities in my backpack. I asked why they weren't in my traveling bag, their answer was simple "so it would be easier to carry".

The next day(today), the day went pretty fast and before you know it, it was dinner time. Through out dinner, my parents told me by I was supposed to act dumb, and I was shocked and even felt more sorry than I originally was.

It turns out, there were crazy scientists looking for me. My parents were scientists, but they quit right after the incident that caused all this, out of all experiments, I was the sole survivor as I wasn't even born yet. Now that I showed my intelligence and with those bastards who filmed everything, we're in danger now. Right after dinner, we heard a commotion and my parents dragged my hurriedly with my packed backpack and a tiny box, and some snacks, we got to the basement and they shifted the piano, underneath was a well hidden door, as they were about to let me in, we heard a scream "RUN!!" So they just pushed me in with a phone in my hands and all other things, and that's where we are now.
