Need to be tough to be stupid.

"Hey Yu, come and stab this one too." Said Leonard while holding out another low-level enemy for me. Since my stats all sucked, all of them noticed that I was struggling to kill even one single enemy. So Leonard came up with a very clever idea, which consisted of grabbing the enemies for me so I could easily stab them. The prior day, all of them showered me with gifts. Kyle brought me a new beginner armor, while Leonard gave me a short sword. As per Rimuru, he gave me a magical bracelet so I don't get quickly one-shot by enemies. They all have a weird liking toward me. Not to complain about anything is just that it feels funny to be the only girl in an adventurer's party. 

Anyway, I was having a blast the whole day, at least until it was time to go fight a serious battle. Kyle had accepted a mid-level quest to kill giant toads, and so we went to the planes in which the toads used to settle. When we arrived, my teammates left me alone before a massive group of angry toads, so I did what anyone with common sense would do. NIGERRUNDAY-OOO, or that would be what I wanted to do. I didn't even get a chance to start running when one of the toads started swallowing me. All the guys stopped laughing as soon as I began to be eaten and jumped to the rescue. 

"You can't be for real, Yu. You're level fifteen already; these toads should be easy work at your level. What's wrong?" He was right; when I checked the toad's stats, they seemed far weaker than me, so why? Why didn't I win? "I, I don't know; it's like my strength goes away as soon as I enter battle. I feel so tired and sluggish." Leonard then patted my head from behind and smiled while defending me from Kyle's comments. "You know she's still in her first day at the job. Give her a break already." Kyle looked astounded at his words, like he had just betrayed him to make himself look better in front of me. Kegh, like I would overlook it, Leo. Still, I did get bummed out that evening. How come an enemy many times weaker beat me? 

So, Obviously, I began to look for clues on my stat HUD. When I finally saw it, I found out why I was so shit at attacking. I had a weird ability called "Shielder's Blessing." I couldn't appraise it for some odd reason, but I did manage to figure out what this meant. My unique ability was probably this "Shielder's Blessing." So, the following day, I went to the local weapons shop to look at some shields. All the shields were super expensive, so I only grabbed a wooden shield for now. When I equipped the Shield, something weird did happen to it. It began to glow and make strange noises until a mysterious element covered the entire Shield's edge. Once it was done, I appraised it, and my theory was correct. 

My Shield had ridiculously high defense stats; by becoming mine, it had gotten the same defense stat as a steel shield. Woah! What the heck. Hey, check it out, guys. I might not be so useless after all. Overexcited and confident, I faced off against the toads again. I prepared my cool new Shield and stood there. Unsurprisingly, the toad just opened its huge mouth and swallowed me whole. Shield and everything. Waaaahhh! AHHhhh! Guys, help me, pleaweseee! I didn't tell anyone I was here, so I lost all hope as the toad finished me off by eating me entirely. I slid deep into its stomach, and I lost all hope. I thought I would die, but then, when the acid poured into my body, it didn't melt or even show signs of corrosion. 

I guess that was the shield's work. I don't know how long it passed until Rimuru found me and rescued me. It felt like hours.
