Prodigal daughter

Seoul, South Korea

Dong-Hyun's place

Inside the room

Staring at the mirror for a very long time now, Bong-Cha was sitting on the side of a king-size bed while breaking into tears without she even realizing.

The only moment she notice something weird was when her reflection suddenly transformed into her daughter's.

"Jin-joo–" She tried to reach for the screen but then suddenly reversed into her natural appearance.

Slumping on the bed again, she broke into a loud cry. She has been experiencing this weird and awkward signs ever since she cut all ties with her daughter for no good reasons. If she really had something as strong as misunderstandings with that family her daughter is involved in, she bet had take things easily and approve her daughter's choice in life.

"Jin-joo please don't leave me, I'm sorry." Burying her face in her palms, she wept bitterly. How could she be so desperate to summon all tiles with the only daughter she had, so pathetic.

"Bong-Cha?"

Lifting her head up, she turned towards the door. Crying even harder after seeing the person that just walked in.

With a panic expression on his face, lee made his way towards the bed. Sitting beside her, he wrap his hand around her, "Sweetie, what is the matter?"

When she sobbed on his sleeves without saying anything to him, he patted her head and placed his chin on her head after kissing the top of her head.

After some while of petting and comforting her, Lee pulled away and held her face in his palms, "I know something is bothering my queen, talk to me about it. I might be of help."

Holding his hands which were still attached on her face, she took a deep breath, "Lee, I'm worried."

"About what?"

"Our daughter." The moment he left her face and look away, she added, "We can't continue doing this, right? Everything seems unright. She really needs us–"

Cutting her off, he annoyingly stood up and snapped, "Who cares if she really needs us or not? She's living a happy life with that essential dog. That's her choice, so let her get ready to face every repercussion that comes after."

"No lee!" Standing up, she retorted before he could make his way towards the door. "She's still part of this family. She's our daughter, how can you say such things against our daughter?" Breaking into tears, "You know that, I didn't wanted to support this bad idea of sending her away from this family."

Turning around, he scoffed, "Of course, but let me remind you one thing Bong-Cha, just Incase you've forgotten. That socalled girl you still address as a daughter in this family is worse than a betrayal!"

"Oh yeah? Because she fell in love with the man of her dream?" Closing her eyes, she took a deep breath and stood right in front of him, "Lee, to start with, she's innocent of what happened. Though she's pregnant for the heir of our opponent but it doesn't counts."

"It doesn't count? Are you nuts or what?" He frowned. "Comatose for two years doesn't count? Fighting to take back revenge and they throw their son on the former daughter of this family and got her pregnant doesn't mean anything to you at all?"

Letting out a mockery chuckle, he added, "Now you listen to me Mrs Kim, I spent two years of my life in the dark when you were locked up in the ICU and when one of us went out to betray us you stand here to generate pity?"

"Lee, no matter what happened we still can't change what has been done." Without waiting for him to say anything, she crossed her arms and turned her back on him. "In other words....I end this case of revenge."

"What?" Grabbing her by the arm, he swirl her to face him, "What did you just say? You want to end what?"

Jerking his hand away, she snapped, "Yes Lee, you just heard me right! Aren't you sick and tired of all these dramas? Our daughter is out of track because of our own selfish interest. I haven't heard of her whereabouts for months now. Do you even realize that she's pregnant? She heavily preg–"

"Yes I do know about that and please stop reminding me of that girl!" Leaning closer to her face with eyes wide open in anger, he gritted his teeths, "She's no longer my daughter. I have no daughter in this family. And she's long dead to me."

"What?" Vigorously nodding her head, "Lee, you have to understand that she is carrying the future generations of this fa–"

"Is there any future generations awaiting outside my granddaughter cheong and upcoming babies in the future from Kang-dae?" Adjusting his glasses, he scoffed and shook his head, "My family can still get broad without those baby puppies in her womb."

Before she could open her mouth to say something, he had already barge out of the room.

What? Did he just refer the babies in her daughter's womb as baby puppies? Bong-Cha's heart broke instantly. She could feel an internal heat inside of her. All these is happening because she approved to take an hard step on the Flynns and now that she decide to end the war and bring back their prodigal daughter, her husband is against it.

No, she won't sit back and lose her daughter forever. She has to do something meaningful with this moment.

Rushing towards the dressing table, she grabbed her phone and hastily typed in something, then she received a notification of 'Done! It's ready.'
