The Dragon Prince's Bride

*Author's other work (She belongs to the Demon King)* *** They say opposite attracts, that's a lie. Opposites kill each other! When a hot blood meets another hot blood, things are bound to get burnt. That is exactly what happens when the pompous and prideful elven princess, Neriah of the Avelah Kingdom is forced to marry the brash dragon Prince, Barak of the Trago Kingdom. Neriah's goal is to someday break away from her marriage and run away with the love of her life, Lyle of the Niles. While Barak will do everything to keep her as a wife. Neriah is certain she's in love with another, but she's also certain that no one can ignite the kind of passion her husband brings. Her husband who she hates more than anything. Can the flames of passion be drawn from hate? Can that same passion burn down the walls of lies, betrayal, and hurt? Can its ashes transcend into love? Excerpt "I am a rose, a beautiful flower, delicate and precious! But you my dear sir are nothing but the thorny stem! Prickly, dangerous and very harmful!" ranted Neriah while poking his chest with her index finger. "Well you seem to forget one important detail, my love." He calmly grabbed her poking hand. "And what would that be, my fine sir?" "That the thorny stem and the rose grow together. The delicate rose and the prickly thorn, they belong together my dear." "You—" "And no amount of ranting and raging will change that. You think I want to keep a witch like you? You are a pain in the neck. If I am a thorn then you are a piece of fish bone stuck inside my neck. I cannot swallow and I can not spit it out! I just have to bear it!" "You insolent bastard! Do you mean to say I am a burden!" "Well you are no precious prize, are you?" And that was it, she threw herself at him with her claws ready to mar his face, but he was quicker and he caught both her hands with one of his own and pressed her heaving chest upon his. Golden eyes stared deep into hers. They were as green as the fresh leaves on an orange tree. His fingers caressed her face, “You might not be a precious prize, but by the heavens, you are mine.” And his lips fell on hers, and once again, another argument was drowned.

BLOOD OF THE MIGHTY ONES

Crestfallen and exhausted from his travails; Muno, a 'Fallen' powerful Watcher Angel, in a last-ditch attempt to unseal the fate of the 'Fallen', cried to the CREATOR for mercy and a chance at redemption. For he had seen, through the eyes of the CREATOR, the horrible future his failure that day, had secured for humanity. Only the destruction of the 'Fallen' could assuage the CREATOR's wrath and avert the certain horrors of the revealed future. Yet he attempted what had never been before done-have the CREATOR reverse his verdict. Muno, much loved by the CREATOR and all for his devotion and integrity, dropped to his knees in the howling wilderness: With wings rent from despair and his luminance dimmed by his heartbreaking failure to fulfil the CREATOR's demand... He prayed a desperate prayer and awoke into the revealed horrible future... 'Abba Father! Plenteous in mercy...' He exclaimed. 'You have given me a chance at redemption. I shall prove my fealty and strength to you in the battle foretold. I shall yet raise an army for good, from the "Offsprings of the Fallen", all is not lost.' Muno literally could taste evil in the air; this world he had awoken to had little goodness in it. Danger lurked precariously over an unsuspecting people. He failed the CREATOR once before, he was thus determined, that this chance at redemption would not be lost, regardless of the Beguiler, his army of the 'Fallen' and their offsprings. 'I must seek out the "Offsprings of the Fallen"... ' He muttered. How was he to know them? For they appeared like regular humans from the vision shown him. 'Anyways, with this much evil in the air, they'd make an appearance, sooner than I am ready.' He reckoned. Nonetheless, Muno knew this much about the 'Offsprings of the Fallen'... They were the result of sexual relations between the 'Fallen' Watcher Angels and the daughters of men and so, they carried the 'Blood of the Mighty Ones'-the ELOHIM. From the future foretold, they possessed supernatural abilities as a consequence of the blood in their veins. Abilities harnessed by the Beguiler and his 'Fallen', for the battle foretold in the vision of the future Muno had seen. Muno's mandate and purpose were clear: He would, by all means, make these damned offsprings a force for good. For the 'Blood of the Mighty Ones' possessed a greater propensity for good-same blood flowed in his veins. First, he would have to deal with the imminent evil hanging over Victoria Island-the location of his rebirth. And then proceed to find those who shared his blood nomenclature. He had learned from the vision he had seen, that the science of humans described his blood and that of the 'Offsprings of the Fallen', as the 'Rh Negative' specimen. 'Driver! Driver!! Why have we stopped moving?' A panic-stricken lady asked, from the rear of the bus Muno awoke in. By this time, several vehicles had come to an abrupt halt. The sun rapidly retreated into the clouds and surrendered the day to unwanted darkness. Then, there was silence... a ghastly silence that was as loud, as it was silent. Suddenly screams pierced the still air and a stampede broke out amongst passengers, who had by this time alighted their vehicles. A foot race of death had begun...
