Sneaking out

It's already dark outside when Ren and her parents returned. They're really not hungry nor anything so they all decided to rest.

Ren's inside her room, she just finished taking a bath. She picked up her pajamas that she prepared beforehand and wear it.

Looking outside the window she looked at the two moons in the sky. It's been a while since she became Ren Lenxington. Ren admits that it's hard to adjust first but she's slowly getting used to it, she experienced things that she didn't experienced before like having a loving parents and having friends. Ren's happy but also worried, 'What if someday all of this will end?'.

Ren shook her head. She didn't exactly know why or what's her purpose here in this world. Ren did recieved a letter from the old Ren but what does it truly mean? Ren couldn't understand fully.

Looking outside, she felt complicated and wanted to go out to get some fresh air. Nobody really enters nor knocked on her door during the night so she's quite assured that it's alright for her to sneak out.

Ren thought that it might also be dangerous outside so she decided to grab her sword that they bought from the blacksmith shop. Ren also changed her clothes into the clothes that she's using when training.

"This must be good enough?" She wore a black long sleeved polo and a black pants, her sword's also hanging on the side of her waist.

Ren thought that going outside the window would be stupid and useless, Lenxington estate is one of the most secured estates because Harris Lenxington, Ren's father is the captain of magic knights called 'Azure Wolf'. She thought that there's a high chance that there's someone monitoring her own window in case someone tried to sneak in.

Ren used her skill as a past hitman by hiding her presence and walking without making any sound by doing that she sneaked out smoothly and was able to avoid all of the knights guarding their estate. There are some knights who had keen senses that almost caught her but luckily they didn't.

Outside the estate, Ren decided to run towards the capital, After running for about an hour and a half she finally reached her destination. Ren's forehead's sweating, she's kind of used to running since she's training everyday and it's really not hot because it's already night time.

Even if it's already night there are still some people walking around like restaurants and such but what caught her attention was the building with a wooden sign above.

"Adventurer's Guild?..." Ren reads books about this world and she also learned about Adventurer's Guild. Based from what she read, Adventurer's Guild is a place for people or adventurer's where they can take requests or work. Some of the examples that Adventurers do was subjugation requests, Requests for assistance or protection and many more.

Ren took an interest about joining the adventurer's guild but today isn't the right time to do it and there's a lot of preparation that she needed to do. Ren walked around the capital when she heard something from the alleyway.

She slowly walked towards the noise then there she saw an old woman wearing a robe. The lady looks suspicious but she looked at the direction of Ren "Come here young lady".

Ren was cautious and didn't approach her but the old lady laughed and said "Don't worry, i will not hurt you and i'm just a simple fortune teller".

The old lady looked kind but Ren didn't let her guard down nor approached her. The old lady smiled "Actually you don't need to come closer, i already read your fortune from the stars"

Ren just looked at the old lady while her right hand's holding the sword hanging on the left side of her waist.

"You're currently confused right now right? But there's no need for you to worry as of the moment young lady. Everything will be according to your favor as long as you give it your all. The future can be changed so as your fate. Someday you'll also find your purpose, just wait and prepare yourself and your efforts won't be worthless" The old lady said smiling then she turned around to leave.

Ren listened to the old lady and was bewildered but even before she could come back to her senses, the old lady was already gone. Ren thought that this might be the weirdest night for her since she came here in this world but it kinda of help her a bit? Ren's not really sure but she must give her best just as the old lady said.

"I'll find my purpose in this world and i will not give up" Ren smiled while looking at the direction where the old lady disappeared.

Ren started to walk away and went to a dark alley, in the dark alley there's a small building then she entered it. The bell rang when she entered and the clerk inside the small building looked at her.

Based from the clerk's perspective the young boy who entered the shop doesn't seem like a commoner so he asked "Is there anything i could do for you young sir?" it seems like he didn't know that Ren is a girl nor the daughter of a marquess.

"Well...I'm here to sell something" Ren brought something out from her pocket and gave it to the clerk. The clerk looked at the purple gemstone that Ren gave and checked its quality.

"Hmm...How about 30 silvers for this?" 30 silvers are already a high price but Ren shook her head "Make it 40" The clerk hesitated and tried to think "Well how does 35 sounds to you? That's the highest price i could give you" Ren nodded and agreed.

Ren recieved a small bag of silver coins and went out. The gemstone that Ren sold was actually just one gemstone from hundreds of Ren's accessories and it isn't that important and there's also a note left by the real Ren that she could sell it if she needed.

Ren doesn't really have any money because when they're shopping the Lenxington estate is the one paying for all of it so she doesn't really need to worry when shopping around but today is different, she sneaked out and she doesn't have any money.

The currency system in this world's quite easy to understand. 1000 bronze is equal to 1 silver and 100 silver is equivalent to 1 gold. Usually the commoners earned 10 silvers a month so considering that she already have 30 silver coins means that it's a lot already.

Ren looked around more to look for shops then she entered a small shop. She looked around to see cabinets full of potions and different types of magic stones with different colors then she asked the clerk "Is there a potion or something that could help me change my hair color for a moment?"

The clerk was a woman around her twenties and shook her head "Sorry but we don't have a potion to help you with that..." The clerk smiled lightly "But we do have a magic stone for that, it was quite expensive though considering that it was rare and we only have one left..."

Ren blinked twice "How much?" the lady clerk widened her eyes a bit "Eh?". Ren smiled lightly looking at the clerk "How much is it?".

The lady clerk was quite shocked 'Does someone young like him really have money to pay?' she thought to herself.

"Uhm...15 silvers..." Ren nodded and placed 15 silvers on the counter. The lady Clerk blinked twice and it took her a while to process things but she left to get the magic stone and gave it to Ren "Here you go".

Looking at the magic stone, it was black and it kinda looks like an accessory? To be precise a brooch.

"To activate it, you have to wear it as a brooch and don't worry about it losing it's effects. It'll take for about 10 years for it to ran out of magic" The lady explained and Ren nodded. "I also wanted to apologize that we only have a black one left...We really don't have anything else left and it's very rare for us to have that kind of magic stone..." The lady smiled apologetically.

Ren smiled and shook her head "It's okay and thank you miss" After that Ren left the shop.

"I think my preparation for today is done. It's time for me to go back, it's getting late" Ren said and went back to the Lenxington estate smoothly without getting caught.
