The actors of the two worlds were different.
So naturally, the movie wouldn't be exactly the same either.
For example, there were some flashback scenes of Wolf Warrior 1's female lead, Long Xiaoyun, in the movie. This role was still a very important one, but as Zhang Ye was unable to find a female actress who was as unique as Yu Nan, he decided to get Dong Shanshan to play the role instead. Even so, Shanshan had her own valiant bearing after putting on the military uniform that Zhang Ye found to be very suitable.
