She only returned after giving her brother a proper burial, only to find everyone waiting for her. 

She didn't know if she was going to succeed or not, but one thing was certain. She couldn't afford to fail. 

She didn't have the time to plan everything properly, but she did gain an important clue after her conversation with the archangel statue. 

The information she was able to gather, She came to learn that Karyk was still there. She had assumed that he had escaped back to his world, but that didn't seem to be the case. 

It was clear that he was still here. And if he was still here that meant she still had an opportunity to catch him before the reinforcements arrived.

The only problem was finding him in this vast continent. He could be hiding anywhere after all.
