Previously known as Devon Shaw, he died in a bus accident. He was 40 years old, a small time TV show director and screenwriter.

He is reborn in America in 1970 in an alternate timeline as Mark Spencer. He fails to activate his system and thinks he has no cheats. So he plans to conquer Hollywood on his own with his future knowledge, wits and hard work.

By the age of 20 he became a successful book author with many NYT bestsellers with over 300 million copies sold worldwide.

The current year is 1990, he has just graduated from New York Film Academy with multiple degrees. He is trying to establish his own studio and shoot his first feature film.

He is also very encouraging of Mark to pursue his passion. And helps him in convincing his mother to allow him to go work in hollywood.

She is a kind and caring woman who wanted Mark not to become a director in Hollywood due to her misgivings, but later was convinced by Mark and his dad.

But she doesn't give Mark any quests so all of Mark's actions are by his own choice. She can display the stats of all Hollywood personnel currently working, and allows Mark to see where their talent lies and how good they currently are in their abilities.

Character Summary - She is Mark's childhood friend, they met when Mark was 11 after just having published Ben 10, his first book.

She is a great admirer of Mark, holding an obsessive degree of love towards him. But doesn't think she deserves him, and doesn't want to tell him about her love for him as she is afraid to ruin their close friendship.

She has a submission, praise and cuckquean kink towards Mark. She has envisioned herself by his side, loyal and devoted, supporting him in his every endeavor.

Whether it be conquering Hollywood or making the Hollywood starlets desperate for his attention, fighting to be the one to bed him and earn his favor.

She wants to be there when it happens, kneeling by his bedside like a good pet for her master.

It's like she can intuitively understand people, it's her kind and caring personality that made her become the big sister of the group. She is the one they look for help whenever Mark's busy or unavailable. She is the unofficial second person in-charge of the group.

She has a great eye for detail and is very creative in solving problems with plots, dialogues or scenes in a movie.

"She just sees things differently from the rest of us mortals", Mark's words and coming from Mark, that is the highest compliment they have ever seen Mark give someone.

She is very reserved with strangers to the point she doesn't even want to talk to them. But with friends she is very frank and brutally honest, it's why everyone in the group looks to her for advice or opinion because she has no filter.

Character Summary - Before Mark got the system and his special skill •character evaluation• from it. Kevin was Mark's character evaluator and social connections person.

As he can easily form connections with people and that is a valuable skill to have. Kevin does this subconsciously.

This is how Mark described Kevin's talent to him. He said, "Kevin, you have an eye for people, you can understand them, their motive and drive. You are able to pick up their tells, their general demeanor, it's how you are able to understand their unsaid needs and wants."

Character Summary - Patty got acquainted with Mark when she was helping at the soup kitchens around New York. Mark didn't discriminate against her and always treated her with proper respect even before they became friends.

Even though she doesn't show it, she feels like she owes a lot to Mark. As he was the one who trusted in her ability, so much that he funded her culinary school expenses and even funded her opening and operating The Red Lotus.

As some belonging from the marginalized communities, she has engraved this kindness and generosity in her heart. She also has a small crush on Mark, that she is very tsundere about.

Relationship - Mark's good friend and close associate, currently working as Commander of the Overwatch Initiative.

Character Summary - David was someone who had just given up on life, he was at his lowest point. His stellar career as a military special ops officer was over, due an injury in a field operation.

And when he came back to his wife thinking about starting over as a civilian, he found out due to his training and intuition that she was cheating on him.

After that he was drowning in his depressive thoughts, thinking about suicide everyday. He couldn't stay in his own house due to it reminding him of his wife's infidelity, so he just roamed the streets of New York.

He was in one of the homeless shelters when he met Mark for the first time. Mark had always been a good listener and an empathic person. So on a whim, (Author's divine intervention) David told him his story and Mark decided to help him get over this dark phase of his life.

Through the help of extensive physiotherapy and therapy sessions, David made a full recovery both physically and mentally. He now publicly works as a motivational speaker and trainer.

His organization "Better Living," an NGO funded anonymously by Mark is actually a front for the Overwatch Initiative. David, through his previous training, experience and contacts, helped Mark recruit, train and arm his operatives with the best spyware equipment available on the black market.

David also serves as the Commander of the Overwatch Initiative, his title is the "Watch Commander". He has ensured that they maintain their anonymity, this is the cardinal rule of their organization, so as to not incriminate anyone else in the organization.

Every member has been trained in the know-how of covert ops, surveillance, different languages, different accents, voice modulation, crowd work (how to blend in a crowd seamlessly), etc.

They never carry a weapon, only a pepper spray, taser and a small collapsible baton that is allowed to be carried by the law for self defense. They hide their spyware equipment in specially created hidden compartments, that no-one will ever, even think about looking for.
