Chapter 2 : Who is he?

After getting my locker keys from the principal, l was making my way to class when l felt a hard body crushing into me. l stumbled and was about to fall but a hand held my hand preventing me from falling. I looked up and saw the most hipnotising eyes l had ever seen. His emerald green were green as the crisp, clean like dollars being printed on mint. He pulled me and my body made into contact with his hard chest. l could tell he worked out regularly because l felt his six packs poking in his shirt. I could smell his expensive cologne and I moved my head closer to breath him in to my content.

"If you are done admiring and smelling me now could you let go, he said". Embarrassed, I quickly stepped back from him. l a amm s sorry. l said looking on the floor. l could'nt understand why I was so shy in font of him . l never felt shy even in font of the most popular boys back at my school so why now. l was asking myself.

"l see you are checking me out, huh. "l s sorry, I don't mean to be clumsy. l have to get to class, sorry again. l said hurriedly trying to move pass him but he caught my arms again. l raised my head slowly at him. "We will meet again he said smirking. He let go of me and l made my way to my class, l was tempted to look back at him but I forced myself to look forward. l could feel a pair of eyes watching me till I made a turn to the classroom.

l entered the class but everyone's attention was on the teacher so l knocked and all the attention was now on me. I heard some of them whispering about me to each other but l didn't care they were bound to talk.

"Hello Emma the teacher said smiling lightly at me. Come in, l went and stood near her. Class this is Ellen Santiago. Who cares, a girl that in a tight dress said. she looked like she just came from the club. she was pretty but not beautiful, I could see that she had had a plastic surgery before because her nose seemed a little odd. l was brought back by the teacher's annoyed voice. " Becca if you don't behave you are going to be in detention for two weeks. Now as I was saying Ellen is new in this country and school. l don't want her to have any trouble. This social place is for learning, socializing and exploring not for bullying and abusing your colleagues so l don't want to her any complaint from Ellen about any of you. Am l clear? Everybody was silent. l said! Am l clear!. " Yes Miss Atkins, they chorused. Good.

"Now, Ellen there are three empty space you can choose whoever you want to sit beside". l made my way through the room. l saw hatered in the eyes of that Becca girl but I rolled proving that I am not intimidated by her. I passed her with my head held high. l heard someone whisper my turn my head and saw Karen. "Hey, Ellen come sit beside me".

l went and sat besides her. "it's so cool to have you in the same classroom, she said grinning widely. So can we be friends? Yeah, l kinda need a friend. "And I also need one, so can we be besties".

Huh, okay I said smiling. l turned my attention to what the teacher. l was so engrossed in writing my notes that I didn't raise my head when someone entered the class. "Mr. Knight, my l know why you are so late for class?.

"The road was jammed with traffic". l heard a voice say but it sounded like the guy l bummed into. oh God don't let it be him, please don't let me and him be in the same class, l prayed. l slowly raised my and got shocked when my eyes met his. oh no it's him, l mentally screamed.

"Mr. Knight, l came from the same road you are talking about and there was no traffic so tell me the truth. "Miss. Atkins you said when you were coming there were no traffic, that doesn't mean there won't be any traffic after you have passed. He said coolly. "okay Mr. Knight l will let it pass because I don't have any evidence but next time I will make sure you get a month detention. "That won't be necessary because there won't be any next time, he said and smirked". He turn and his gaze fell on me. l quickly adverted my eyes from his. Oboy, I breathe this really going to be a tough semester. "Ellen are you okay? Karen asked her face showing concern. You look like you have seen a ghost". Am okay it's just that I bumped into a guy and he said that we would meet again and he's the guy that just came in. "What! She Screamed and got the whole class attention. "Miss Jeffrey are you okay? Would you mind telling me why you screamed interrupting the class". Ahhh it's just that the nail in my chair poked me so l got surprise and shouted, She lied. Everyone in the room was now laughing. l need silence please! Miss Atkins shouted. "Am sorry, said Karen".

"It''s all right but next time try to keep your voice down". Karen nodded and the lesson continued. l turned my head to look if he's watching me or not. l fully turn and met his eyes again. He smirked at me and l looked away from his handsome face. Wait what, did l just say handsome. what is happening to me?, l asked myself. Ellen keep your head in the game l mentally screamed at myself. l will tell you about him in the cafeteria during lunch break. Karen whispered in my ears. l could'nt focus on the rest of the lesson due to a pair of eyes studying me through out the lesson.
